Description
引っ張り弾性率(ヤング率)、最終的応力、及び最終的ひずみ
弾性率(ヤング率)、最終的応力、及び最終的ひずみ(伸長)は、下記のパラメータを用い、ASTM D882−10:「Standard Test Method for Tensile Properties of Thin Plastic Sheeting」に従って測定された。幅25.4mm(1インチ)、長さ100mm(4インチ)、厚さが概ね約45〜65マイクロメートルのまっすぐな断片試料3枚を、フィルムサンプルからダウンウェブ方向に切り、22+/−2℃に最短15分間置いて条件を整えてから、試験を行った。平行なゴム被覆グリップの間の分離距離は50.8マイクロメートル、クロスヘッド速度は304.8mm/分(12インチ/分)、ひずみ率は6分−1であった。分離率、力測定、及びデータ計算は、システムコントローラーによって実施された。
印刷適性は、ASTM D7305−08a:「Standard Test Method for Reflection Density of Printed Matter」に従って、絶対的印刷密度試験方法を用い、測定ヘッドに5mm開口を有するGretag SPM 50 LTスペクトロ濃度計を使って評価された。スペクトル応答は、較正プラークを用いて較正され、2%以内で正確であることが見出された。白色紙剥離ライナー上の、厚さ25マイクロメートル(0.001インチ)のアクリル感圧性接着剤層ラミネートは、室温でニップロールによりラミネートされ、下記の「フィルムの一般的調製」に記述されているように押出フィルム製品とし、これにより、接着剤と押出フィルムの表面が接合されてフィルム物品とされた。白色紙剥離ライナーは、0.06〜0.10の光学密度を有していた。押出フィルム層の反対側にあるポリエステル担体を除去し、フィルム物品の白色剥離ライナー側を、スプレー接着剤を用いて、グラフィックフィルム担体に取り付けた。フィルム物品の露出面に、少なくとも15cm2を覆うよう原色カラーバーで印刷を行った。この際、プラテン温度設定は65℃(150°F)、VUTEK UltraVu IIモデル150 SCプリンター(EFI Corporationの一部門であるVUTEK(Meredith、New Hampshire)から入手)を使用し、最低24時間空気乾燥させてから、カラーバーの印刷密度を測定した。
柔軟性は、ASTM D412−6ae2:「Standard Test Methods for Vulcanized Rubber and Thermoplastic Elastomers−Tension」に準拠し、永久伸び試験方法を用いて、下記のように評価された。幅2.54cm(1インチ)、長さ10.2cm(4インチ)を有する試験試料が用いられた。フィルム試験試料の上に最初のジョー分離距離(50.8mm)の印をつけ、次に試料を304.8mm/分(12インチ/分)の速度で、元の長さより50%大きくなるよう(76.2mm)延伸し、30秒間保持した。次に、この試験試料をジョーグリップから解放し、24時間後、元のマークの間の長さを再び測定した。柔軟性は、永久伸びのパーセントで測定され、次のように計算された:
%永久伸び=[(L24−L0)/(L1−L0)]×100
式中、L24は24時間後に測定された長さ、L0は初期のジョー分離距離、及びL1は50%伸長長さである。永久伸び値は、100%が、弾性回復ゼロに対応する。そのような値を有するフィルムは、収縮なしに延伸された位置に留まる。永久伸び値0%は、完全な弾性回復に対応する。
シリコーンコーティングされた剥離ライナー上の、厚さ25マイクロメートル(0.001インチ)のアクリル感圧性接着層(イソオクチルアクリレート:アクリル酸/90:10w/w)のラミネートを合わせて、透明な押出フィルム製品とした。これは、下記「フィルムの一般的調製」の記述に従い、室温で、1.79kg/直線cm(10ポンド/直線インチ)でのラバーロールラミネーターを用いて製造され、これにより接着剤と押出フィルムの表面が接触してフィルム物品が得られた。5.1cm(2インチ)角の断片に切断した後、剥離ライナーを除去し、フィルム物品を、触媒作用された自動車用白色エナメルで塗装されたアルミニウムパネルに接着し、経年変化サンプルを得た。次に、ポリエステル担体をフィルム表面から除去し、フィルムの初期の反射光学密度を、上記の「印刷適性」試験に使用されたGretag SPM 50 LTスペクトロ濃度計を用いて測定した。次に、経年変化サンプルを90℃(194℃)の炉に入れた。7日後、サンプルを取り出し、前と同様に再び光学密度を測定し、変化が記録された。3回の測定の平均が報告された。
フィルムはすべて、タイプ2523単軸スクリュー押出機(C.W.Brabender、South Hackensack、New Jersey)を用い、スクリュー直径1.90cm(0.75インチ)、長さ61cm(24インチ)、Maddoxエレメントを用いて押出成形された。押出機は、速度90rpmで操作され、供給スロートを冷却し、およそのゾーン及びダイ温度は次の通りであった:Z1:182℃(360°F)、Z2:188℃(370°F)、Z3:193℃(380°F)、Z4:193℃(380°F)、ダイ:193℃(380°F)。ゾーン温度は、個々のフィルム配合に応じて必要により調整され、入れた材料の融解粘度に対応した。フィルムは、幅15.2cm(6インチ)のポリエステル担体フィルム上に、0.102mm(0.004インチ)のダイ隙間を通して押し出し厚さ約50マイクロメートル+/−15マイクロメートル(0.002インチ)、幅10.2〜15.2cm(4〜6インチ)のフィルム製品を提供した。ポリエステル担体をフィルム製品から除去してから、試験を行った。
コーティング溶液を次のように調製した:80%(w/w)のN,N−ジメチルホルムアミド、11%(w/w)のPU 1、9%(w/w)のCAP 3を密封容器に入れ、この容器をローラー上で25℃、16時間置き、次に65°で4時間加熱し、更に24時間25℃でローラー上に置いた。曇りのある粘性の溶液が得られた。幅305mm(12インチ)のノッチバーコーターを用い、隙間設定を0.41mm(0.016インチ)として、これを厚さ96.5マイクロメートル(0.0038インチ)の未処理ポリエステルフィルム基材上にコーティングした。コーティングされたポリエステル基材を65℃で6時間乾燥させて、本発明のフィルムを、ポリエステル基材上に、厚さ75マイクロメートル(0.003インチ)として得た。このフィルムをポリエステル基材から慎重に取り外し、上述のように印刷密度の評価を行った。結果を以下の表9に示す。
以下の層を共押出しすることにより、多層フィルムを調製した。
1.第1層:1.0mil(0.025mm)、55重量%のPU 1と45重量%のCAP 4の配合物、
2.第2層:0.2mil(0.0051mm)、マレイン酸化ポリエチレン(商標名Amplify GR209としてDow Chemical Co.から入手可能)、
3.第3層:2.55mil(0.065mm)、70重量%の低密度ポリエチレン(Equistar Petrothene NA271009、LyondellBasell Corporationから入手可能)、及び30重量%のPolyOne 15077 White CC00038580白色顔料マスターバッチ(PolyOne Corporationから入手可能)の混合物、
4.第4層:0.25mil(0.0064mm)、エチレン・アクリル酸コポリマー(商標名Primacor 1410としてDow Chemical Companyから入手可能)。
以下の層を共押出しすることにより、第2の多層フィルムを調製した。
1.第1層:0.24mil(0.061mm)、55重量%のPU 1と45重量%のCAP4の配合物、
2.第2の白色顔料添加層:1.76mil(0.045mm)、55重量%のPU 1と45重量%のCAP 2の配合物。
以下の層を共押出しすることにより、第2の多層フィルムを調製した。
3.第1の無顔料層:0.4mil(0.010mm)、55重量%のPU 1と45重量%のCAP4の配合物。
4.第2の白色顔料添加層、1.6mil(0.041mm)、55重量%のPU 1と45重量%のCAP 5の配合物。
本願発明に関連する発明の実施形態について以下に列挙する。

- 熱可塑性ポリウレタン及びセルロースエステルを含むポリマー配合物を含むフィルム層と、
前記フィルムの少なくとも1つの表面に隣接するインク層と、を含む、物品であって、
前記セルロースエステルが、酢酸酪酸セルロース又は酢酸プロピオン酸セルロースであり、かつ、
前記フィルム層が、ホットメルト加工可能なフィルム層である、物品。 - 前記フィルム層がホットメルト加工により製造される、請求項1に記載の物品。
