使用されるヒドロキシル化された酸化物系充填剤は、好ましくは、ケイ素含有酸化物系のヒドロキシル化された充填剤、例えば特にはシリカである。このタイプのシリカ、特に親水性のシリカは、特にその表面にヒドロキシ基を担持している。
硫黄含有有機ケイ素化合物は、1個または複数のアルコキシシリル基、好ましくは1個または複数のトリアルコキシシリル基を含んでいるのが好ましい。
本発明において使用される加硫戻り防止剤は、好ましくは、1,6−ビス(N,N−ジベンジル−チオカルバモイルジチオ)ヘキサン(CAS No.:151900−44−6)である。
本発明において使用される加硫剤は、具体的には、硫黄または硫黄供与体、例えばジチオモルホリン(DTDM)または2−(4−モルホリノジチオ)ベンゾチアゾール(MBSS)である。硫黄及び硫黄供与体は、ゴムの全量を基準にして、例えば0.1〜15重量部、好ましくは0.1〜10重量部の量で使用する。
本発明において使用されるゴム添加剤の中でも、特に使用されるのが加硫促進剤である。適切な加硫促進剤の例は、メルカプトベンゾチアゾール、スルフェンアミド、グアニジン、チウラムジスルフィド、ジチオカルバメート、チオ尿素、チオカーボネート、更にはジチオホスフェートなどである(Ullman’s Encyclopedia of Industrial Chemistry,VCH Verlagsgesellschaft mbH,D−69451 Weinheim,1993,Vol.A23 「Chemicals and Additives」,p.366〜417)。
・ 合成シリケート例えば、ケイ酸アルミニウム、アルカリ土類金属シリケート、例えば、ケイ酸マグネシウムもしくはケイ酸カルシウムで、BET表面積が20〜400m2/g、一次粒径が5〜400nmのもの、
・ 天然シリケート例えば、カオリ及びその他の天然シリケート、
・ 金属酸化物例えば、酸化亜鉛、酸化カルシウム、酸化マグネシウム、酸化アルミニウム、
・ 金属炭酸塩例えば、炭酸カルシウム、炭酸マグネシウム、炭酸亜鉛、
・ 金属硫酸塩例えば、硫酸カルシウム、硫酸バリウム、

第一混合ステージ:
・ インターナルミキサーの中にSBR及びBRを仕込んで、約30秒間混合
・ シリカの2/3、シランの2/3、更に加硫戻り防止剤の2/3を添加して、約60秒間混合
・ シリカの1/3、シランの1/3、加硫戻り防止剤の1/3、更にオイルを添加して、約60秒間混合
・ カーボンブラック、オイル、抗酸化剤、酸化亜鉛、更にオゾン劣化防止ワックスを添加して、約60秒間混合
この混合手順は、100〜170℃、好ましくは150℃の領域の温度で実施することができる。
第二混合ステージ:
第一の混合ステージが終了した後、その混合物を下流のロールミルに移し、シート、ストリップまたはペレットに成形し、室温で24時間貯蔵。
ここでの加工温度は、60℃未満である。
第三混合ステージ:
第三混合ステージには、例えばニーダー/インターナルミキサー内における、140〜170℃、好ましくは150℃での、更なる再混練ステップが含まれる。
第四混合ステージ:
加硫/ゴム添加剤、例えば加硫促進剤(1種または複数)及び硫黄を、好ましくはロール上、低温(80℃未満)で添加。

ムーニー粘度の測定:
粘度は、ゴム(及びゴム混合物)を加工する際に、それらによってもたらされる対抗力から直接求めることができる。ムーニー剪断円板式粘度計の中で、溝のあるディスクが上下共に試験物質で取り囲まれていて、加熱可能なチャンバーの中で、約2回転/分の速度で回転される。この目的のために必要な力を、トルクの形式で測定し、それぞれの粘度に対応させる。その試験片は一般的には、1分間、100℃に予備加熱しておき、更に4分間かけて測定を行うが、温度は一定に保持しておく。
MDR(ムービング・ダイ・レオメーター)における加硫過程の進行と、その結果の分析データは、ASTM D5289−95に従い、Monsanto MDR 2000レオメーター中で測定する。表2は、この試験の結果を照合している。
本発明によるゴム混合物の硬度を測定するために、表1の配合に従って、そのゴム混合物から作った厚み6mmのミルドシートを作製した。そのミルドシートから直径35mmの試験片を切り出し、デジタルショアー硬度試験器(Zwick GmbH&Co.,KG,Ulm製)を使用して、それらのショアーA硬度値を求めた。
引張試験は、エラストマーの負荷限界を直接求めるのに役立つ。初期の長さに関連させた、破断した時の長手方向の伸びが、破断時伸びを与える。あるレベルの伸び(殆どの場合は50、100、200、及び300%)を達成するために必要とされる力を測定して、弾性率として表す(所定の300%の伸びのための引張強さ、即ち300弾性率)。
動的試験方法を使用して、周期的に変動する加重下でのエラストマーの変形挙動の特性表示をする。外部から加えられた応力が、ポリマー鎖のコンホメーションを変化させる。
Claims (9)
- 複数のサブステップに分割する、または複数のサブステップに分割しない、複数の混合ステージを有する混合プロセスにおいてゴム混合物を製造するための方法であって、
以下の成分:
・ 1種または複数のゴム、
・ 1種または複数のヒドロキシル化された酸化物系充填剤、
・ 1種または複数の硫黄含有有機ケイ素及び/または1種または複数のヒドロキシポリスルフィド系化合物、
・ 以下のものから選択される、第一の混合ステージにおいてその混合物の中に組み入れられる、1種または複数の加硫戻り防止剤:1,6−ビス(N,N−ジベンジル−チオカルバモイルジチオ)ヘキサン(CAS No.:151900−44−6)、1,3−ビス((3−メチル−2,5−ジオキソピロール−1−イル)メチル)ベンゼン(CAS No.:119462−56−5)、及びヘキサメチレン1,6−ビス(チオサルフェート)二ナトリウム塩二水和物(CAS No.:5719−73−3)、
・ 1種または複数の加硫添加剤、
・ 1種または複数のゴム添加物、
を混合することを含み、
第一の混合ステージにおいて、1種または複数の前記ゴム、一種または複数の前記ヒドロキシル化された酸化物系充填剤、1種または複数の前記硫黄含有有機ケイ素及び/または1種または複数の前記ヒドロキシポリスルフィド系化合物、1種または複数の前記加硫戻り防止剤、ならびに、1種または複数の前記ゴム添加物を混合する、方法。 - 前記加硫戻り防止剤が、1,6−ビス(N,N−ジベンジルチオカルバモイルジチオ)ヘキサン(CAS No.:151900−44−6)であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 1種または複数の加硫戻り防止剤を、少なくとも2段のサブステップ中に第一の混合ステージで添加することを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 使用される加硫戻り防止剤(1種または複数)の量が、それぞれの場合において使用されるゴムの量を基準にして、0.1〜20重量%であることを特徴とする、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記混合プロセスを、少なくとも2段の混合ステージで実施することを特徴とする、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記第一の混合ステージにおいて、混合を120℃〜170℃の温度で実施することを特徴とする、請求項3に記載の方法。
- ・ 1種または複数のヒドロキシル化された酸化物系充填剤、
・ 1種または複数の硫黄含有有機ケイ素及び/または1種または複数のヒドロキシポリスルフィド系化合物、及び
・ 1種または複数の加硫戻り防止剤、
を、前記第一の混合ステージにおける少なくとも2段のサブステップ中で、少なくとも二回に分割して添加することを特徴とする、請求項1または5に記載の方法。 - 前記第二の混合ステージにおいて、ゴム添加剤、及び更には加硫添加剤を、140℃未満で添加し、前記ゴム混合物を、前記第一の混合ステージと前記第二の混合ステージの間に冷却すること特徴とする、請求項1〜7の何れか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記第一の混合ステージと前記第二の混合ステージの間に、前記ゴム混合物を更なる再混練ステップにかけることを特徴とする、請求項8に記載の方法。
