Description
Claims (10)
- 外側光学クラッドで取り巻かれた光学コアを含むマルチモード光ファイバであって、前記光学コアが、その中心から周縁まで、
半径(r1)を持ち、かつ前記外側光学クラッドに対してアルファインデックス形屈折率分布を呈する中心コアと、
前記中心コアの周縁にあって、幅(wt)と、前記外側光学クラッドに対する屈折率差(Δnt)を持つディプレスト・トレンチと、
を含み、
0.200±0.015に等しい開口数(NA)を持ち、前記中心コアのアルファインデックス形屈折率分布が、1.9〜2.1の値を持つアルファ・パラメータ(α)を持ち、前記中心コアが、前記外側光学クラッドに対して、11×10 -3 〜16×10 -3 である屈折率差の最大値(Δn1)を持っており、
前記中心コアの直径(r1の2倍)が50±3マイクロメートル(μm)の値を持ち、また、前記ディプレスト・トレンチは、屈折率の垂直減少から始まり、その幅(wt)が0.5マイクロメートル(μm)〜2マイクロメートル(μm)であり、さらに、前記外側光学クラッドに対する前記ディプレスト・トレンチの屈折率差(Δnt)が−4×10-3〜−1×10-3であり、
前記中心コアのアルファインデックス形屈折率分布の末端と前記外側光学クラッドとの屈折率差が−0.5×10-3 以上で0未満、25μmの半径方向オフセットでの半径方向オフセット帯域で、2000MHz.kmよりも大きい帯域を持っているマルチモード光ファイバ。 - 25μmの半径方向オフセットでの半径方向オフセット帯域で、4000MHz.kmよりも大きい帯域を持っている請求項1に記載のマルチモード光ファイバ。
- 前記外側光学クラッドに対する前記ディプレスト・トレンチの屈折率差(Δnt)が、前記ディプレスト・トレンチの幅(wt)全体にわたって一定である請求項1または2に記載のマルチモード光ファイバ。
- 1500MHz.kmよりも大きい全モード励振(OFL)帯域を持っている請求項1ないし3の1つに記載のマルチモード光ファイバ。
- 3500MHz.kmよりも大きい全モード励振(OFL)帯域を持っている請求項1ないし4の1つに記載のマルチモード光ファイバ。
- 2000MHz.kmよりも大きい実効伝送帯域(EMB)を持っている請求項1ないし5の1つに記載のマルチモード光ファイバ。
- 4000MHz.kmよりも大きい実効伝送帯域(EMB)を持っている請求項1ないし6の1つに記載のマルチモード光ファイバ。
- 請求項1ないし7のいずれか1つに記載のマルチモード光ファイバの少なくとも1つの部分を含むマルチモード光システム。
- 100メートル(m)の距離まで、10GbE(Gb/s)以上のデータレートを持っている請求項8に記載のマルチモード光システム。
- 300メートル(m)の距離まで、10GbE(Gb/s)以上のデータレートを持っている請求項8に記載のマルチモード光システム。
