Description
重量280g/m2の梱包用厚紙上に、ポリブチレンアジペートテレフタレート(PBAT)からなる重量10g/m2の内側の接着層、並びに工業用ポリラクチドからなる重量15g/m2の外側のヒートシール層を同時押出しした。押し出された2層コーティングを冷却した。その後、コーティングされた板紙のウェブを、10m/分の速度でUV照射器(UV-technik、 UVHランプモデル)下で移動させた。照射器の電力は120W/cmであり、種々の波長範囲におけるそのエネルギースペクトルはUV−C約15%、UV−B約8%、UV−A約7%、可視光約15%、及びIR約55%であった。照射された板紙から切断されたブランクを、円錐状に広がる飲用コップを被覆するような形状に曲げて、コーティングされ照射されたコップの内側表面とし、コーティングされておらず照射されていないコップの外側表面にヒートシールした。シール処理は、340℃の高温空気を用いて、及び温度が130℃である高温シールジョーによって、実施した。いずれの場合においても、完全なシールが達成され、その開封時には、繊維層において100%の断裂が生じた。換言すれば、引き剥がすことによるシール部の剥離は観察されなかった。
実施例1で使用された梱包用厚紙上に、組成がポリラクチド45%及びPBAT55%である重量24g/m2の単層コーティングを押し出した。コーティングを冷却した後、コーティングされたウェブを、10m/分の速度で、実施例1で使用したUV照射器によって照射した。実施例1と同様に、コーティングされ照射された板紙から切断されたブランクを曲げ、ヒートシールして飲用コップの被覆とした。シール処理を、340℃の高温空気を用いて実施した。完全なシールが達成され、その開封時には、繊維層において100%の断裂が生じた。
実施例1による梱包用厚紙上に、組成がポリラクチド95%及びエチレンブチルアクリレートグリシジルメタクリレートターポリマー5%である重量25g/m2の単層コーティングを押し出した。冷却後、実施例2と同様に、ウェブにUV照射し、ウェブから切断されたブランクを曲げ、ヒートシールして飲用コップの被覆とした。340℃の高温空気を用いるシール処理によって完全なシールが達成され、その開封時には、繊維層において100%の断裂が生じた。
比較材料は、重量210g/m2の梱包用厚紙であり、その上に低密度ポリエチレン(LDPE)が押し出された重量25g/m2の単層コーティングを有していた。試験材料は、重量210g/m2の梱包用厚紙であり、その上にポリラクチド(PLA)が押し出された重量27g/m2の単層コーティングを有していた。試験系は、PLAでコーティングされた板紙を、5m/分、10m/分、20m/分、40m/分及び80m/分の5つの異なる速度でコンベアに乗せて、上述の実施例1におけるUV照射器を通過させることによって、これから作り出した。加えて、試験系は、照射されていないPLAでコーティングされた板紙を含んでいた。
Claims (17)
- 包装材料のヒートシール適性を改善する方法であって、前記包装材料のウェブのポリエステルを含有するポリマー層に前記ウェブを移動させながら紫外線を照射することを特徴とする、方法。
- 紫外線照射される前記ポリマー層はポリラクチドを含有することを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記ポリマー層には、ポリラクチド(PLA)及びポリブチレンアジペートテレフタレート(PBAT)が混合されることを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記包装材料は、紫外線照射されるポリエステルを含有するコーティング層を繊維性基材上に押し出すことによって生産されることを特徴とする、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 内側のポリマー性接着層及び外側のポリラクチド含有層が前記繊維性基材上に同時押出しされることを特徴とする、請求項4に記載の方法。
- 前記紫外線照射の波長が100nm〜400nmであることを特徴とする、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- ヒートシールされた容器又は包装物を生産する方法であって、繊維性基材にポリエステルを含有するポリマーコーティングを付与すること、コーティングされた基材のウェブを移動させながら前記コーティングに紫外線照射すること、及び前記容器又は前記包装物を、前記紫外線照射されたコーティングポリマーをヒートシールすることによってシールすることを特徴とする、ヒートシールされた容器又は包装物を生産する方法。
- 前記容器が板紙コップであり、そのジャケットの垂直方向の継ぎ目が前記コップの内側表面のポリマーコーティングをヒートシールすることによって形成されることを特徴とする、請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記コップの前記ポリマーでコーティングされた内側表面が、前記コップのコーティングされない外側表面とヒートシールされることを特徴とする、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 前記包装物が板紙箱型包装物であり、そのポリマーでコーティングされた外側表面が前記包装物のコーティングされない内側表面とヒートシールされることを特徴とする、請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記繊維性基材の両側にポリマーコーティングを付与すること、並びに前記容器又は前記包装物のヒートシール処理において、その内側表面及び外側表面の前記ポリマーコーティングが互いとシールされることを特徴とする、請求項7又は8に記載の方法。
- 前記コーティングポリマーがポリラクチドを含有することを特徴とする、請求項7〜11のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 内側のポリマー性接着層及び外側のポリラクチド含有層が前記繊維性基材上に同時押出しされることを特徴とする、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記ヒートシール処理が高温空気を用いて実施されることを特徴とする、請求項7〜13のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記ヒートシール処理が加熱されたシールジョーによって実施されることを特徴とする、請求項7〜13のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- ポリラクチドをシールする方法であって、ポリラクチド又はポリラクチドを含有するポリマー混合物からなる、移動しているウェブの表面に紫外線を照射し、その後、照射された表面を反対側の表面とヒートシールすることを特徴とする、ポリラクチドをシールする方法。
- ポリラクチド若しくはポリラクチドを含有するポリマー混合物からなる包装フィルム、又は該フィルムの表面層がヒートシールされることを特徴とする、請求項16に記載の方法。
