Description
本発明の第1の実施形態について、図1、2を用いて説明する。図1は、本実施形態にかかる二次電池を示す斜視図であり、図2(1)は図1のA−A’線での断面図であり、図2(2)は図1のB−B’線での断面図である。
本実施形態では、添加手段としてカプセルの代わりに図3に示す添加装置4を用いている点が実施形態1とは異なる。
本実施形態では、図4に示す添加装置5の栓部46が弾性体により外部へ押圧されている点が実施形態2とは異なる。

Claims (5)
- 電池ケースと、前記電池ケース内部に収納された電極体と、初期添加剤を含み、前記電池ケース内に満たされた電解液とを備えたリチウムイオン二次電池であって、
前記電極体に前記初期添加剤により形成された被膜の劣化状態に応じて劣化状態を回復するための回復用添加剤を電解液に添加する添加手段を設け、
前記添加手段は、前記添加剤を前記電解液から隔離すると共に前記電池ケース内の内圧の印加を受ける隔離手段を有し、前記内圧が上昇して所定値以上となった場合に、前記隔離手段が前記内圧に応じて変形、破壊又は移動することで、前記添加剤を前記電解液に添加することを特徴とするリチウムイオン二次電池。 - 前記所定値は、前記電極体の充放電時の膨張収縮による内圧変化よりも大きいことを特徴とする請求項1記載のリチウムイオン二次電池。
- 前記添加手段は、前記添加剤を内包した前記隔離手段としてのカプセルであり、前記内圧が所定値以上となると該カプセルの壁面が破れて前記添加剤を前記電解液に添加するように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載のリチウムイオン二次電池。
- 前記添加手段は、その一端側が封止され、他端側が開放された筒状部材、及び該筒状部材の中空部に嵌合し、該中空部を前記内圧の上昇により前記一端側に移動する移動部からなる前記隔離手段と、前記筒状部材の前記移動部の初期設置位置よりも一端側に設けられた開口に連通し、前記添加剤が貯留された貯留部とを備え、前記内圧の上昇により前記移動部が移動して、前記添加剤を前記電解液に添加するように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載のリチウムイオン二次電池。
- 前記添加手段は、前記筒状部材の前記一端側に空気溜まり部が形成されていることを特徴とする請求項4記載のリチウムイオン二次電池。
