Claims (10)
- 第1及び第2の対向して配置された面と、複数の光入力導入部の各々が、関連する光源からの光を導入する前記複数の光入力導入部と、複数の光出力導出部の各々が、前記光入力導入部の対応する光入力導入部に隣接して配置された前記複数の光出力導出部であって、
前記複数の光出力導出部の各々が、一次光ビーム及び二次光ビームを出力し、一次光ビームは、前記対応する光入力導入部内の位置から前記光出力導出部へ向けられた伝搬方向を持ち、二次光ビームは、前記対応する光入力導入部外の導光器における位置から前記光出力導出部へ向けられた伝搬方向を持ち、前記複数の光出力導出部の各々は、全内部反射のための条件が一次光ビームに対しては満たされるが、二次光ビームに対しては満たされていないので、一次光ビームが二次光ビームより低い光出力効率で出力される前記複数の光出力導出部と、一次光ビームを反射させ、これにより一次光ビームを二次光ビームに変換する反射手段とを有する当該導光器であって、
前記複数の光出力導出部の各光出力導出部が、前記光入力導入部から4つの角度、すなわち45度、135度、225度及び315度の方向に延在する複数の光出力導出構造を有し、前記光出力導出構造が当該導光器の前記第1及び第2の面の少なくとも一方に形成された複数の溝を含み、これら溝の各々が、当該導光器の当該面における、光入力平面に垂直な方向である伝搬方向を持つ一次光ビームの投影に沿って実質的に延在する、導光器。 - 前記光入力導入部に形成された光入力導入構造を更に有する請求項1に記載の導光器。
- 前記光入力導入構造が前記入力された光を平行化するビーム整形手段を有する請求項2に記載の導光器。
- 前記光入力導入構造が前記第1又は第2の面から当該導光器内に形成された凹部を有する請求項2又は請求項3に記載の導光器。
- 前記凹部が当該導光器に平行な面内で長方形断面を有し、これにより、入力された光の当該導光器と平行な面内における平行化を可能にする請求項4に記載の導光器。
- 前記複数の光出力導出構造の対応するものに整列された複数の平行化構造を有する請求項1ないし5の何れか一項に記載の導光器。
- 隣接する光出力導出部の間の干渉を防止するために、これら光出力導出部の間に配置された少なくとも1つの導光部を更に有する請求項1に記載の導光器。
- 前記複数の光入力導入部が長方形格子パターンを形成するアレイ状に配置された請求項1に記載の導光器。
- 平らな形態の請求項1ないし8の何れか一項に記載の導光器と、前記複数の光入力導入部と関連する少なくとも1つの光源とを有する、照明器具等の光出力装置。
- 隣接する光出力導出部の間に配置された再指向手段を備える請求項1ないし8の何れか一項に記載の導光器を有する光出力装置であって、該光出力装置が、各々が前記複数の光入力導入部のうちの対応するものに配置された複数の光源を更に有し、これら光源のうちの隣接するものは異なる色の光を放出し、これにより当該光出力装置により出力される光の色の均一性を改善する光出力装置。
