Description
図1及び図2は、本発明の実施の形態1のピストンについて説明するための図であり、図1はピストンのシリンダ中心軸C1を含み、かつシリンダ中心軸C1に平行な方向の断面、図2はピストン頂部を上から(即ち、図1の紙面上方向から)見た上面を表している。本実施の形態1のピストン10は、ディーゼルエンジンの各シリンダ内に搭載され用いられ、各シリンダ内でシリンダヘッドを上壁面とする燃焼室を構成する。
図8は、本発明の実施の形態2のピストンについて説明するための図である。図8に示されるピストンは、テーパ部20の外縁部20aの中心C4の位置が異なる点を除き、図1、図2のピストン10と同一のものである。
図9は、本発明の実施の形態3のピストンについて説明するための図である。図9に示されるピストン10は、2つずつの吸気弁が設置され、かつ、その吸気弁の径が異なるシリンダに用いられる。ピストン10は、その頂面に、径の異なる吸気弁に応じたバルブリセス40が形成されている点と、テーパ部20の外縁部20aの中心C4の位置が、シフトされている点を除き、図1、図2に示したピストン10と同一である。

Claims (4)
- シリンダ中心に対して偏心してピストン頂部に形成された凹部と、
前記ピストン頂部の上端面と、前記凹部の側面とを繋げるテーパ部と、
を備え、
前記テーパ部は、
前記ピストン頂部の上端面の外縁部と前記テーパ部の内縁部との水平距離であるスキッシュエリア幅が同一の2つの領域を比べた場合に、スワール流速が速くなる領域側の前記テーパ部の水平方向の幅よりも、スワール流速の遅くなる領域側の前記テーパ部の水平方向の幅が小さくなるように、前記シリンダ中心に対して前記テーパ部の外縁部の中心が偏心しているものであることを特徴とする内燃機関の燃焼室構造。 - 互いに異なる径を有する2つの吸気弁が配置される燃焼室構造において、
前記2つの吸気弁のそれぞれに対応して、前記ピストン頂部に形成された、異なる径を有する2つのバルブリセスを備え、
前記2つのバルブリセスのうち、径の大きなバルブリセスは、径の小さなバルブリセスよりも、スワール流速が速い領域に配置されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の内燃機関の燃焼室構造。 - 前記テーパ部の外縁部の、前記シリンダ中心に対する偏心方向は、前記シリンダ中心と前記凹部の中心とを結ぶ線分に対して、垂直方向であることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の内燃機関の燃焼室構造。
- 互いに異なる径を有する2つの吸気弁が配置される燃焼室構造であって、
前記2つの吸気弁のそれぞれに対応して、ピストン頂部に形成された、異なる径を有する2つのバルブリセスと、
シリンダ中心に対して偏心して、前記ピストン頂部に形成された凹部と、
前記ピストン頂部の上端面と前記凹部の側面とを繋げるテーパ部と、
を備え、
前記ピストン頂部の第1部分における、前記テーパ部と燃焼室上壁面との間に形成される空間の体積であるテーパ部体積は、
前記第1部分よりも前記シリンダ中心からの前記凹部の偏心方向に近い第2部分における体積よりも大きく、
前記2つのバルブリセスのうち、径の大きなバルブリセスは、径の小さなバルブリセスよりも、スワール流速が速い領域に配置されていることを特徴とする内燃機関の燃焼室構造。
