Description
i)吸水性ポリマー粒子を分級することと、
その際、粗粒を少なくとも1つの篩いによって分離し、そして該篩い又は複数の篩いの場合には最小のメッシュ幅を有する篩いが、メッシュ幅m1を有し、
ii)分級されたポリマー粒子を後架橋させることと、
iii)後架橋されたポリマー粒子を分級することと、
その際、粗粒を少なくとも1つの篩いによって分離し、そして該篩い又は複数の篩いの場合には最小のメッシュ幅を有する篩いが、メッシュ幅m2を有し、
を含む方法において、m2がm1より大きいことを特徴とする方法によって解決された。
i)吸水性ポリマー粒子を分級することと、
その際、粗粒を少なくとも1つの篩いによって分離し、そして該篩い又は複数の篩いの場合には最小のメッシュ幅を有する篩いが、メッシュ幅m1を有し、
ii)分級されたポリマー粒子を後架橋させることと、
iii)後架橋されたポリマー粒子を分級することと、
を含む製造方法において、工程iii)で分離された粗粒が、m1未満又は同じ粒度を有する粒子50質量%未満を含有し、かつ工程iii)での流量が、少なくとも100kg/m2・hであることを特徴とする方法である。
比較例:
水と、50質量%の苛性ソーダ液と、アクリル酸との連続的な混合によって、38.8質量%のアクリル酸/アクリル酸ナトリウム溶液が製造され、その中和度は71.3モル%であった。該モノマー溶液を、それらの成分の混合の後に熱交換器によって連続的に冷却した。
過酸化水素(1トンのモノマー溶液当たりに1.03kg(0.25質量%))、
ペルオキソ二硫酸ナトリウム(1トンのモノマー溶液当たりに3.10kg(15質量%))、並びに
アスコルビン酸(1トンのモノマー溶液当たりに1.05kg(1質量%))。
20t/hのモノマー溶液
40kg/hのポリエチレングリコール−400−ジアクリレート
82.6kg/hの過酸化水素溶液/ペルオキソ二硫酸ナトリウム溶液
21kg/hのアスコルビン酸溶液
架橋剤と開始剤の添加点の間で、モノマー溶液を窒素によって不活性化した。
7.5t/hの吸水性ポリマー粒子(ベースポリマー)
308.25kg/hの後架橋剤溶液
引き続き、NARA−パドル式乾燥器(GMF Gouda社、Waddinxveen,NL)中で150℃で60分間乾燥させ、後架橋させた。
比較例と同様に実施した。
Claims (14)
- 吸水性ポリマー粒子の製造方法であって、
i) 吸水性ポリマー粒子を分級する工程であって、
その際、粗大粒を少なくとも1つの篩によって篩別けし、かつ、ここで、該篩又は複数の篩の場合には最小のメッシュ幅を有する篩が、少なくとも700μmのメッシュ幅m1を有する、工程と、
ii) 分級されたポリマー粒子を後架橋させる工程であって、当該分級されたポリマー粒子の平均粒度が少なくとも200μmである、工程と、
iii) 後架橋されたポリマー粒子を分級する工程であって、
その際、粗大粒を、少なくとも2つの互いに異なるメッシュ幅を有する篩によって篩別けし、かつ、ここで、最小のメッシュ幅を有する篩が、メッシュ幅m2を有する、工程と、
を含み、
前記メッシュ幅m2が、前記メッシュ幅m1よりも少なくとも100μm大きいこと、及び、
前記工程iii)における分級に際しての前記吸水性ポリマー粒子の1時間あたりの流量が、篩面積1m2当たり少なくとも100kgであること
を特徴とする、方法。 - 請求項1に記載の方法において、粗大粒を、工程i)において、異なるメッシュ幅の少なくとも2つの篩によって篩別けすることを特徴とする、方法。
- 請求項1又は2に記載の方法において、前記メッシュ幅m1が、少なくとも800μmであることを特徴とする、方法。
- 請求項1から3までのいずれか1項に記載の方法において、前記メッシュ幅m2が、少なくとも800μmであることを特徴とする、方法。
- 請求項1から4までのいずれか1項に記載の方法において、前記メッシュ幅m2が、前記メッシュ幅m1よりも少なくとも150μm大きいことを特徴とする、方法。
- 請求項1から5までのいずれか1項に記載の方法において、粗大粒を、工程i)において、異なるメッシュ幅の少なくとも2つの篩によって篩別けし、ここで、それら複数の篩のうちの少なくとも1つの篩が、前記メッシュ幅m1よりも少なくとも50μm大きいメッシュ幅を有することを特徴とする、方法。
- 請求項1から6までのいずれか1項に記載の方法において、工程iii)で使用される前記の少なくとも2つの篩のうちの少なくとも1つの篩が、前記メッシュ幅m2よりも少なくとも500μm大きいメッシュ幅を有することを特徴とする、方法。
- 請求項1から7までのいずれか1項に記載の方法において、前記吸水性ポリマー粒子が、前記分級中に、少なくとも40℃の温度を有することを特徴とする、方法。
- 請求項1から8までのいずれか1項に記載の方法において、前記分級を減圧下で行うことを特徴とする、方法。
- 請求項1から9までのいずれか1項に記載の方法において、前記吸水性ポリマー粒子が、前記分級中に、ガス流によって流通されることを特徴とする、方法。
- 請求項10に記載の方法において、該ガス流が40〜120℃の温度を有することを特徴とする、方法。
- 請求項10又は11に記載の方法において、該ガス流が、5g/kg未満の水蒸気含有率を有することを特徴とする、方法。
- 請求項1から12までのいずれか1項に記載の方法において、
工程iii)で篩別けされた前記粗大粒が、m1未満の粒度又は同じ粒度を有する粒子を50質量%未満の量で含有しており、かつ、工程iii)での流量が、少なくとも100kg/m2・hであることを特徴とする、方法。 - 請求項1から13までのいずれか1項に記載の方法において、前記吸水性ポリマー粒子が、工程ii)の前で、少なくとも15g/gの遠心保持能力を有することを特徴とする、方法。
