Claims (17)
- 改良された日射反射率を示す黒色顔料であって、該顔料が、
有効量のリン酸塩の存在下で形成された、下記式を有する固溶体状の材料を含み、
(CrxFeyMez)2On
ここで、x+y+z=1,nは電気的中性とするために必要な酸素の数、Meは少なくとも一つの金属で、0<x≦1,0<y≦1,0≦z<0.3である;
前記材料が、プレスされたカップ状で、波長400〜600nmの光に対して20%未満の平均反射率を示し;
前記材料が、プレスされたカップ状で、波長1300〜1600nmの光に対して40%を超える平均反射率を示す
ことを特徴とする顔料。 - 前記顔料が、Fe 2 O 3 とCr 2 O 3 を、Fe:Crモル比として10:1〜1:10 の範囲で含むことを特徴とする請求項1記載の顔料。
- 前記顔料が、リン酸イオンを含むことを特徴とする請求項1記載の顔料。
- 前記zが、0.2未満であることを特徴とする請求項1記載の顔料。
- 前記材料が、波長400〜600nmの光に対して15%未満の平均反射率を示すことを特徴とする請求項1記載の顔料。
- 前記材料が、波長400〜600nmの光に対して10%未満の平均反射率を示すことを特徴とする請求項1記載の顔料。
- 前記材料が、波長400〜600nmの光に対して5%未満の平均反射率を示すことを特徴とする請求項1記載の顔料。
- 前記材料が、波長1300〜1600nmの光に対して45%を超える平均反射率を示すことを特徴とする請求項1記載の顔料。
- 前記材料が、波長1300〜1600nmの光に対して50%を超える平均反射率を示すことを特徴とする請求項1記載の顔料。
- 改良された日射反射率を示す茶色または緑色顔料であって、該顔料が、
有効量のリン酸塩の存在下で形成された、下記式を有する固溶体状の材料を含み、
(CrxFeyMez)2On
ここで、x+y+z=1,nは電気的中性とするために必要な酸素の数、Meは少なくとも一つの金属で、0<x≦1,0<y≦1,0≦z<0.3である;
前記材料が、プレスされたカップ状で、波長400〜600nmの光に対して25%未満の平均反射率を示し;
前記材料が、プレスされたカップ状で、波長1300〜1600nmの光に対して50%を超える平均反射率を示す
ことを特徴とする顔料。 - 前記顔料が、Fe 2 O 3 とCr 2 O 3 を、Fe:Crモル比として10:1〜1:10 の範囲で含むことを特徴とする請求項10記載の顔料。
- 前記材料が、波長400〜600nmの光に対して20%未満の平均反射率を示すことを特徴とする請求項10記載の顔料。
- 前記材料が、波長400〜600nmの光に対して15%未満の平均反射率を示すことを特徴とする請求項10記載の顔料。
- 前記材料が、波長1300〜1600nmの光に対して55%を超える平均反射率を示すことを特徴とする請求項10記載の顔料。
- 改良された日射反射率を示す顔料を形成する方法であって、該方法が、
酸化鉄および酸化クロムを含む顔料前駆体組成物を調製する工程、
有効量のリン酸塩化合物を前記前駆体組成物中に添加する工程、
前記前駆体組成物およびリン酸塩化合物を少なくとも1500°Fまで加熱し、二次組成物を形成する工程、
前記二次組成物を冷却することにより、下記式を有する固溶体状の材料を含む顔料を形成する工程、
(CrxFeyMez)2On
ここで、x+y+z=1,nは電気的中性とするために必要な酸素の数、Meは少なくとも一つの金属で、0<x≦1,0<y≦1,0≦z<0.3である;
を備えることを特徴とする方法。 - 得られた顔料が、Fe 2 O 3 とCr 2 O 3 を、Fe:Crモル比として10:1〜1: 10の範囲で含むことを特徴とする請求項15記載の方法。
- 前記加熱が、約1750°F〜約2400°Fの温度で、約0.5〜約48時間行われることを特徴とする請求項15に記載の方法。
