Description
第一当接面を備えるプラスチックワークピースであり、前記第一当接面上に前記第一当接面から延在し、前記第一当接面から見て外側を向く端面を有するピンが設けられる前記プラスチックワークピースを設ける工程と、
第二当接面と前記第二当接面の反対側の作業面とを備える別のワークピースであり、前記ピンの断面に適合し、前記第二当接面から前記作業面へと延在する貫通孔が設けられた前記別のワークピースを設ける工程と、
前記第二当接面が前記第一当接面上に置かれ、前記ピンが前記貫通孔内を通って前記作業面から突出するように、前記別のワークピース及び前記プラスチックワークピースを互いに接触させて載置する工程と、
摩擦ツールを前記別のワークピースに載置する工程であって、
前記摩擦ツールは、周りに回転駆動されるとともに、前記回転軸に対して垂直に延在する摩擦面を備える摩擦ピンと、回転軸に対して垂直に延在するクランプ面を備えるクランプリングとを有し、
前記クランプリングは前記摩擦ピンを取り囲んでおり、前記摩擦ピン及び前記クランプリングは前記回転軸に平行に移動可能であり、
載置の際は、前記摩擦面を前記端面上に平らに載置し、前記クランプ面を前記作業面上に平らに載置する工程と、
前記摩擦ピンを回転して、前記摩擦面及び前記端面間の摩擦から発生する摩擦熱によって前記ピンを可塑状態とする工程と、
前記回転している摩擦ピンを前記回転軸に平行に前記作業面側に移動して、前記ピンを可塑的に変形する工程とを含む方法。
Claims (13)
- プラスチックワークピース(1)を別のワークピース(3)に接合する方法であって、
第一当接面(5)を備えるプラスチックワークピース(1)であり、前記第一当接面(5)上に前記第一当接面(5)から延在し、前記第一当接面(5)から見て外側を向く端面(9)を有するピン(7)が設けられる前記プラスチックワークピース(1)を設ける工程と、
第二当接面(13)と前記第二当接面(13)の反対側の作業面(15)とを備える別のワークピース(3)であり、前記ピン(7)の断面に適合し、前記第二当接面(13)から前記作業面(15)へと延在する貫通孔(17)が設けられた前記別のワークピース(3)を設ける工程と、
前記第二当接面(13)が前記第一当接面(5)上に置かれ、前記ピン(7)が前記貫通孔(17)内を通って前記作業面(15)から突出するように、前記別のワークピース(3)及び前記プラスチックワークピース(1)を互いに接触させて載置する工程と、
摩擦ツール(29)を前記別のワークピース(3)に載置する工程であって、
前記摩擦ツール(29)は、前記ピン(7)の中心となる回転軸(37)周りに回転駆動されるとともに、前記回転軸(37)に対して垂直に延在する摩擦面(39)を備える摩擦ピン(31)と、前記回転軸(37)に対して垂直に延在するクランプ面(45)を備えるクランプリング(35)とを有し、
前記クランプリング(35)は前記摩擦ピン(31)を取り囲んでおり、前記摩擦ピン(31)及び前記クランプリング(35)は前記回転軸(37)に平行に移動可能であり、
載置の際は、前記摩擦面(39)を前記端面(9)上に平らに載置し、前記クランプ面(45)を前記作業面(15)上に平らに載置する工程と、
前記摩擦ピン(31)を回転して、前記摩擦面(39)及び前記端面(9)間の摩擦から発生する摩擦熱によって前記ピン(7)を可塑状態とする工程と、
前記回転している摩擦ピン(31)を前記回転軸(37)に平行に前記作業面(15)側に移動して、前記ピン(7)を可塑的に変形する工程とを含み、
前記摩擦ツール(29)は、前記回転軸(37)周りに回転駆動されるとともに、前記回転軸(37)に平行に移動可能であり、前記回転軸(37)に対して垂直に延在するスリーブ摩擦面(41)を備える環状スリーブ(33)を有し、
前記スリーブ(33)は前記摩擦ピン(31)と前記クランプリング(35)との間に配置され、
前記スリーブ(33)は前記摩擦ピン(31)の回転時に回転し、
前記摩擦ピン(31)が前記作業面(15)側に移動する時には、前記スリーブ(33)は前記作業面(15)から離間する側に移動する、または、前記スリーブ(33)もまた前記回転軸(37)に平行に前記作業面(15)側に移動する方法。 - 前記摩擦面(39)は、前記摩擦ピン(31)が前記回転軸(37)周りに回転する時には、いかなる回転角度であっても前記端面(9)が前記摩擦面(39)に対して完全に平らとなるような寸法を有する請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記ピン(7)は円柱状に形成される請求項1〜2のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記摩擦ピン(31)の外径は前記ピン(7)の外径に合致する請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記摩擦ツール(29)の載置の際は、前記スリーブ摩擦面(41)を前記作業面(15)に載置する請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記移動の間、前記スリーブ摩擦面(41)は前記摩擦面(39)の面からずれている請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記移動の間、前記スリーブ摩擦面(41)は前記摩擦面(39)と同一平面内にある請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記スリーブ(33)の内径は前記ピン(7)の外径に合致し、
前記摩擦ツール(29)の載置の際、前記スリーブ(33)は、前記摩擦ピン(31)に対向する前記スリーブ(33)の内面(43)が前記ピン(7)に接触するように位置決めされる請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の方法。 - 前記別のワークピース(3)は金属、合金、セラミック、又は複合材料で形成される請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記別のワークピース(3)はプラスチックで形成される請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記貫通孔(17)は、前記作業面(15)近傍に、前記作業面(15)に向かって前記貫通孔(17)の寸法が増大していく部位(19)を有する請求項1〜10のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記貫通孔(17)に対して垂直に延在する一つ以上の間隙(23)が前記別のワークピース(3)の前記貫通孔(17)の前記内壁(21)に設けられる請求項1〜11のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 螺旋状に延びる窪み(27)が前記別のワークピース(3)の貫通孔(17)の前記内壁(21)に設けられる請求項1〜12のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
