しかし、これらの戦略を組み合わせただけは電解液や湿った環境に絶えず接触している金属構造体を長期にわたって信頼性良く防食することはできない。

無機マトリックスを用いたときと同様に、有機マトリックスと相溶するので、本発明のセラミック粒子は数種類のコーティング組成物に容易に組み込むことができる。
以下、本発明のいくらかの実施例を示す。
有機−無機ゾル−ゲルマトリックスの合成
48gの氷酢酸を撹拌下にジルコニウム(IV)パーオキサイド溶液(105g、1-プロパノール中70%)に加えた。脱イオン水(602g)を低速で加えた後、均一になるまで溶液を攪拌した(1時間)。それから245gの3-グリシドキシプロピルトリメトキシシラン(GPTMS)を加え、溶液をさらに1時間攪拌する。得られた溶液を以下の実施例では「ゾル-ゲルマトリックス溶液」とよび、代表的コーティング溶液として使用する。
腐食防止剤を含むゾル-ゲル粒子の合成
実施例11.1
無機インヒビターのカプセル化
界面活性剤NP-5(160mmol)と、シクロヘキサン(800mL)とを混合して界面活性剤溶液を調製した。17.28mLのCe(NO3)3の水溶液(Ce3+が80mg/mL)を上記界面活性剤溶液に加え、30分間攪拌して透明な油中水型ミクロエマルジョンを作る。このミクロエマルジョンにテトラメチルオルトシリケート(144mmol、TMOS)を加え、10分間攪拌してから、(3-アミノプロピル)トリエトキシシラン(3.6mmol、APTES)を加える。30℃で一晩(16〜24時間)合成した。温度を20℃に下げ、混合物に960mLのアセトンを加え、30分間攪拌してエマルションを不安定化させた。次いで、混合物を5000回転数/分で25分間遠心分離し、上澄みを分離し、粒子を回収した。それから、次の工程の要求に従って、粒子を凍結乾燥するか濃縮スラリー中に懸濁させた。
有機インヒビターのカプセル化
100gの有機インヒビター8-ヒドロキシキノリン(8HQ)を65mLのTHFに溶かし、それに800mmolのフェニルトリメトキシシラン(PTMS)を加えた。次いで、溶液を均一な界面活性剤水溶液(4リットルの水中に378のg NP-9)と混合した。30分間攪拌した後、この油-水乳濁液中に加水分解したAPTES溶液(480mmol APTESと116mLの水とを混合し製造)を加えた。20℃で一晩(16〜22時間)エージングしてフェニルシロキサンの粒子を形成した。エージング後、系を水(1:1v/v)で希釈し、8500回転数/分で25分間遠心分離して粒子は集めた。上澄みを沈殿分離し、粒子を回収した。それから、次の工程の要求に従って、粒子を凍結乾燥するか濃縮スラリー中に再懸濁させた。
同様なプロセスを2-メルカプトベンゾチアゾール(MBT)のカプセル化で用いた。
有機−無機ゾル-ゲルマトリックス中へのセラミック粒子の導入
セラミック粒子はスラリーまたは水-分散サスペンションの形でゾル-ゲルマトリックス中に組み入れた。以下の実施例では[表1]に記載の種々のセラミック粒子を組み入れ製造した。
12gの調整物A1を140gの実施例Iのゾル-ゲルマトリックス溶液と混合した。得られたサスペンションは15分間攪拌した。オレンジ色の均質な安定したサスペンションが得られた。
このサスペンションを通常の方法で製造したアルミニウム合金2024T3の表面上に塗布した。塗布は浸漬塗装(dip coating)によって10〜50cm/分の引出し速度、特に20〜40 cm/分の引出し速度で行った。
熱硬化は70℃〜210℃の間で実施できるが、熱硬化は100℃〜140℃で実施した。キュア時間は温度に依存し、10分から10時間である。得られたコーティングはわずかに黄色をした2〜1μmの均一な厚さ、特に5〜10μmの厚さを有する。この厚さは製造パラメータに依存する。
20gの調整物B2を140gの実施例Iのゾル-ゲルマトリックス溶液と混合した。得られたサスペンションを15分間攪拌すると、淡い色の均質な安定したサスペンションが得られた。このサスペンションを通常の方法で製造したアルミニウム合金2024T3の表面上に塗布した。塗布は浸漬塗装(dip coating)によって10〜50cm/分の引出し速度、特に20〜40 cm/分の引出し速度で行った。
熱硬化は実施例III.1と同じように実施した。得られたコーティングは透明で、2〜14μmの均一な厚さ、特に5〜10μmの厚さを有する。この厚さは製造パラメータに依存する。
18gの調整物A2と77.5gの調整物B2とを140gの実施例Iのゾル-ゲルマトリックス溶液と混合した。このサスペンションを15分間攪拌して、白色の均質な安定したサスペンションが得られた。このサスペンションを通常の方法で製造したアルミニウム合金2024T3の表面上に塗布した。塗布は浸漬塗装(dip coating)によって10〜50cm/分の引出し速度、特に20〜40 cm/分の引出し速度で行った。
熱硬化は実施例III.1と同じように実施した。得られたコーティングは黄色で、5〜20μmの均一な厚さ、特に10〜15μmの厚さを有する。この厚さは製造パラメータに依存する。
103.3 gの調整物B1と38gの調整物Cとを140gの実施例Iのゾル-ゲルマトリックス溶液と混合した。このサスペンションを15分間攪拌すると白色の均一な安定したサスペンションが得られた。このサスペンションを通常の方法で製造したアルミニウム合金2024T3の表面上に塗布した。塗布は浸漬塗装(dip coating)によって10〜50cm/分の引出し速度、特に20〜40 cm/分の引出し速度で行った。
熱硬化は実施例III.1と同じように実施した。得られたコーティングは透明で、5〜25μmの均一な厚さ、特に15〜20μmの厚さを有する。この厚さは製造パラメータに依存する。
12.5 gの調整物A1と、51.7gの調整物B1と、45.8gの調整物Cと140gの実施例Iのゾル-ゲルマトリックス溶液と混合した。このサスペンションを15分間攪拌すると黄色の均一な安定したサスペンションが得られた。このサスペンションを通常の方法で製造したアルミニウム合金2024T3の表面上に塗布した。塗布は浸漬塗装(dip coating)によって10〜50cm/分の引出し速度、特に20〜40 cm/分の引出し速度で行った。
熱硬化は実施例III.1と同じように実施した。得られたコーティングは黄色で、2〜15μmの均一な厚さ、特に5〜10μmの厚さを有する。この厚さは製造パラメータに依存する。
性能試験
実施例IV.1
接着テスト(ISO2409)
実施例III.1、III.2、III.3、III.4およびIII.5で得られたコーティングに対してISO2409の接着試験を行った。接着は満足できるものであった。
実施例IV.2
中性塩水スプレーテスト(ISO9227)
実施例III.1、III.2、III.3、III.4およびIII.5のコーティングに対してISO9227(336h)の塩水噴霧試験を行った。全てのコーティングがバリヤー効果および自己治癒性を満足させた。
Claims (16)
- セラミック粒子を含むコーティング組成物であって、上記セラミック粒子がその各粒子全体に実質的に均一に分布した少なくとも一つの腐食防止剤を含み、この腐食防止剤は液体の存在下で液体中に溶けてリリース可能であり、上記セラミック粒子はゾル−ゲル法によって作られ、上記腐食防止剤をカプセル化することを特徴とするコーティング組成物。
- 腐食防止剤が無機化合物である請求項1に記載のコーティング組成物。
- 腐食防止剤がセリウム塩および/またはモリブデン塩である請求項2に記載のコーティング組成物。
- 腐食防止剤がCe(NO3)3、Ce2(SO4)3、Ce(CH3CO2)3、Ce2(MoO4)3、Na2MoO4およびこれらの混合物から成る群の中から選択される請求項3に記載のコーティング組成物。
- 腐食防止剤が有機化合物または有機金属化合物である請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載のーティング組成物。
- 腐食防止剤がベンゾトリアゾール、2-メルカプトベンゾチアゾール、8-ヒドロキシキノリン、10-メチルフェノチアジン、セリウム(III)サリチラート、セリウム(III)2,4-ペンタンジオナート、これらの誘導体およびこれらの混合物から成る群の中から選択される請求項5に記載のコーティング組成物。
- セラミック粒子がシリカ、オルガノ−シリカ、ジルコニア、アルミナおよびチタニアから成る群の中から選択される酸化物から成る請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載のコーティング組成物。
- セラミック粒子がシリカまたはオルガノ-シリカから成る請求項7に記載のコーティング組成物。
- セラミック粒子が0.1〜45w/w%の腐食防止剤から成る請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載のコーティング組成物。
- 腐食防止剤が水の存在下でリリースされる請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載のコーティング組成物。
- ハイブリッド有機/無機ゾル-ゲルコートである請求項1〜10のいずれか一項に記載のコーティング組成物。
- エポキシシランの中から選択される少なくとも一つの有機化合物を含む請求項11に記載のコーティング組成物。
- 少なくともジルコニウムアルコキシドの中から選択される無機化合物を含む請求項11または12に記載のコーティング組成物。
- 有機樹脂を含む請求項1〜13つのいずれか一項に記載のコーティング組成物。
- 有機樹脂がエポキシ、ポリウレタン、ポリアミン、ビニル、ニトロ−ビニル、アクリル、ニトロ−アクリル、ビニル-アクリル、フェノール、アミノアクリレート、イソシアネート、ポリエステル、シリコーン、ポリアミド、アルキッドアルキッド、塩素化樹脂およびこれらの混合物から成る群の中から選択される請求項14に記載のコーティング組成物。
- 無機マトリックスを使用して作られる請求項1〜15のいずれか一項に記載のコーティング組成物。
