Description
本発明は、ポリオレフィン部材(例、ポリオレフィン材料を含んでなる繊維、テープおよびシート部材等)の製造に関する。より詳細には、本発明は、このような部材のゲル押出(geltrusion)に関する。さらに、本発明は、このような部材の製造方法に関する。
ポリオレフィン部材は、溶媒に溶かしたポリオレフィン溶液を押出した後に伸張することにより、作製されうる。このプロセスは、ゲル押出プロセスと呼ばれ、高強度の繊維材料(例、繊維、テープおよびシート部材等)をもたらす。ゲル押出は、高性能のポリオレフィン繊維を製造する他の主なプロセス(例、溶融紡糸および固体生成等)とは根本的に異なる。繊維を製造するためのゲル押出プロセスは、例えば、欧州特許第1 699 954号明細書に開示され、シート部材を製造するためのゲル押出プロセスは、例えば、欧州特許第0 500 173号明細書および欧州特許第0 504 954号明細書に開示される。
改善されたポリオレフィン部材を提供することは、本発明の目的である。
本発明の上記の目的および/または他の目的の1つもしくは複数は、ポリオレフィン部材を生産するための方法により実現され、その方法は、ポリオレフィンと溶媒とを含んでなる溶液を調製することと、その溶液を空隙に押出または紡糸して流体部材を形成することとを含む。流体部材は、その後冷却されて、溶媒含有ゲル部材を形成して、固体部材を形成する。部材から少なくとも一部溶媒を除去する前、その間および/または後に、部材は、さらに延伸される。冷却には、冷却浴への流体部材の移送が含まれる。本発明の第一実施形態において、冷却浴は、1つの有機相および1つの水系相、ならびにアリールスルホン酸を含んでなる消泡剤を含んでなり、好ましくは、消泡剤がアルキルベンゼンスルホン酸またはアルキルナフチルスルホン酸(例えば、ジノニルナフチルスルホン酸またはドデシルベンゼンスルホン酸等)を含んでなる。
・導電率:20℃でEMCEE Electronics Model 1152 Digital Conductivity Meterにより冷却浴の有機相の導電率を測定する。
・IV:PTC−179法(Hercules Inc.Rev.1982年4月29日)に従い、デカリン中135℃で、溶解時間を16時間とし、DBPCを酸化防止剤として溶液中2g/lの量で用い、種々の濃度における粘度を濃度ゼロに外挿することにより、固有粘度を測定する。
・側鎖:厚さ2mmの圧縮成形フィルム上でFTIRにより、NMR測定値に基づく検量線を用いて、1375cm‐1での吸収量を定量化することにより、UHMwPE試料中の側鎖の数を決定する(例えば、欧州特許第0269151号明細書のように)。
溶媒(デカリン)中でUHMwPE粉末と消泡剤を混合して、約10%の最終濃度のUHMwPEを得て、溶液を形成した。その後、ツインブレード押出機を用いて溶液を押出し、流体部材を得て、流体部材を冷却し、伸張して、固体部材を形成した。その方法は、国際公開第2005/066401号パンフレットにさらに記載されている。
Claims (16)
- ポリオレフィン部材の製造における消泡剤の使用であって、前記消泡剤が、アリールスルホン酸を含んでなる消泡剤の使用。
- 前記消泡剤が、アルキルベンゼンスルホン酸またはアルキルナフチルスルホン酸を含んでなる、請求項1に記載の消泡剤の使用。
- ポリオレフィン部材を生産する方法であって、
ポリオレフィンと溶媒とを含んでなる溶液を調製する工程と、
前記溶液を空隙に押出または紡糸して流体部材を形成する工程と、
前記流体部材を冷却して溶媒を含有するゲル部材を形成する工程と、
前記部材を延伸する前、その間、および/または後に、前記ゲル部材から前記溶媒を少なくとも一部除去して、固体部材を形成する工程とを含み、
前記溶液が、さらにアリールスルホン酸を含んでなる消泡剤を含んでなる方法。 - 前記消泡剤を添加して、前記溶液の導電率を1000pS/m〜3000pS/mに調節する工程をさらに含む、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記ポリオレフィン部材が、その縦方向に少なくとも3倍延伸される請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記ポリオレフィン部材が、シート部材であり、前記ポリオレフィン部材が、面積で少なくとも10倍に2軸延伸される請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記ポリオレフィンが、少なくとも5dl/gの固有粘度を有する超高分子量ポリエチレンである、請求項3〜6のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- ポリオレフィン部材を生産する方法であって、
ポリオレフィンと溶媒とを含んでなる溶液を調製する工程と、
前記溶液を空隙に押出または紡糸して流体部材を形成する工程と、
前記流体部材を冷却して溶媒を含有するゲル部材を形成する工程と、
前記部材を延伸する前、その間、および/または後に、前記ゲル部材から前記溶媒を少なくとも一部除去して、固体部材を形成する工程とを含み
前記冷却が、前記流体部材を1つの有機相と1つの水系相を含んでなる冷却浴に移送することを含み、
前記冷却浴が、アリールスルホン酸を含んでなる消泡剤を含んでなる方法。 - 前記冷却浴内の消泡剤の濃度が、4ppm〜20ppmである請求項8に記載の方法。
- 前記ポリオレフィン部材が、その縦方向に少なくとも2倍延伸される請求項8に記載の方法。
- 前記ポリオレフィン部材が、シート部材であり、前記ポリオレフィン部材が、面積で少なくとも8倍に2軸延伸される請求項8に記載の方法。
- 前記溶液が、アリールスルホン酸を含んでなる消泡剤をさらに含んでなる請求項8に記載の方法。
- 前記ポリオレフィンが、少なくとも5dl/gの固有粘度を有する超高分子量ポリエチレンである、請求項8〜12のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 0.01ppm〜100ppmのアリールスルホン酸を含んでなるゲル押出された(geltruded)ポリオレフィン部材。
- 前記部材が、ゲル紡糸されたポリオレフィン繊維、ポリオレフィンテープまたはゲル押出されたシート部材である請求項14に記載のポリオレフィン部材。
- 前記ポリオレフィンが、少なくとも5dl/gの固有粘度を有する超高分子量ポリエチレンである、請求項14または15に記載のポリオレフィン部材。
