Description
車両の左車輪(例えば、後述の実施形態の左後輪LWr)と動力伝達可能に接続される第1原動機(例えば、後述の実施形態の第1電動機2A)と、
前記第1原動機を収容し、前記第1原動機の冷却、前記第1原動機の潤滑、前記第1原動機と前記左車輪との動力伝達経路の冷却、及び前記第1原動機と前記左車輪との動力伝達経路の潤滑の少なくとも一つに供される液状流体を貯留する左貯留部(例えば、後述の実施形態の左貯留部RL)を有する第1ケース(例えば、後述の実施形態の第1ケース11L)と、 前記車両の右車輪(例えば、後述の実施形態の右後輪RWr)と動力伝達可能に接続される第2原動機(例えば、後述の実施形態の第2電動機2B)と、
前記第2原動機を収容し、前記第2原動機の冷却、前記第2原動機の潤滑、前記第2原動機と前記右車輪との動力伝達経路の冷却、及び前記第2原動機と前記右車輪との動力伝達経路の潤滑の少なくとも一つに供される液状流体を貯留する右貯留部(例えば、後述の実施形態の右貯留部RR)を有する第2ケース(例えば、後述の実施形態の第2ケース11R)と、
前記第1ケースと前記第2ケースとに挟まれるように配置され、前記左貯留部と前記右貯留部とを連通する左右連通路(例えば、後述の実施形態の第1左右連通路FP)を有する第3ケース(例えば、後述の実施形態の中央ケース11M)と、を備える車両用駆動装置(例えば、後述の実施形態の後輪駆動装置1)であって、
前記左貯留部と前記右貯留部とが、前記車両の車幅方向に並んで配置され、
前記左右連通路に、前記液状流体を供給する液状流体供給装置に連通する吸入口(例えば、後述の実施形態の吸入口71a)と、該液状流体の性状を検出する液状流体センサ(例えば、後述の実施形態のオイルセンサ80)とが配置されることを特徴とする。
前記液状流体センサは、前記左貯留部、前記右貯留部、及び前記左右連通路のうち、前記左右連通路のみに一つ配置されることを特徴とする。
また、請求項3に記載の発明は、請求項1又は2に記載の構成に加えて、
前記第3ケースは、前記左右連通路と並列に形成され、前記左貯留部と前記右貯留部とを連通する他の左右連通路(例えば、後述の実施形態の第2左右連通路SP)をさらに有することを特徴とする。
前記液状流体センサが、前記左右連通路の前記車幅方向で略中央に配置されることを特徴とする。
前記液状流体センサと前記吸入口とは近接して配置されることを特徴とする。
前記左右連通路は、前記吸入口を有するストレーナ(例えば、後述の実施形態のストレーナ71)が配設される容積室(例えば、後述の実施形態のストレーナ収容室105)を有し、
該容積室内に前記液状流体センサの検出部(例えば、後述の実施形態の検温部80b)が配置されることを特徴とする。
前記液状流体センサは、前記液状流体の温度を検出することを特徴とする。
また、旋回による遠心力の発生などによって左貯留部と右貯留部との間の流動、すなわち左右連通路の流動が促進され、左右の液状流体がより混合される。
さらに、左右連通路に吸入口を配設することによって、左貯留部及び右貯留部から左右連通路に向かって流動が発生し、左右の液状流体がより混合される。
請求項3に記載の発明によれば、左右連通路を複数有することで、左右の液状流体がより混合される。
図1に示す車両3は、内燃機関4と電動機5が直列に接続された駆動装置6(以下、前輪駆動装置と呼ぶ。)を車両前部に有するハイブリッド車両であり、この前輪駆動装置6の動力がトランスミッション7を介して前輪Wfに伝達される一方で、この前輪駆動装置6と別に車両後部に設けられた駆動装置1(以下、後輪駆動装置と呼ぶ。)の動力が後輪Wr(RWr、LWr)に伝達されるようになっている。前輪駆動装置6の電動機5と後輪Wr側の後輪駆動装置1の第1及び第2電動機2A、2Bは、バッテリ9に接続され、バッテリ9からの電力供給と、バッテリ9へのエネルギー回生が可能となっている。図1中、符号8は車両全体を制御するための制御装置である。
図2は、後輪駆動装置1の全体の縦断面図を示すものであり、図3は、図2の上部部分拡大断面図である。同図において、符号11は、後輪駆動装置1のケースであり、ケース11は、車幅方向略中央部に配置される中央ケース11Mと、中央ケース11Mを挟むように中央ケース11Mの左右に配置される側方ケース11A、11Bと、から構成され、全体が略円筒状に形成される。ケース11の内部には、後輪Wr用の車軸10A、10Bと、車軸駆動用の第1及び第2電動機2A、2Bと、この第1及び第2電動機2A、2Bの駆動回転を減速する第1及び第2遊星歯車式減速機12A、12Bとが、同一軸線上にそれぞれ並んで配置されている。この車軸10A、第1電動機2A及び第1遊星歯車式減速機12Aは左後輪LWrを駆動制御し、車軸10B、第2電動機2B及び第2遊星歯車式減速機12Bは右後輪RWrを駆動制御する。車軸10A、第1電動機2A及び第1遊星歯車式減速機12Aと、車軸10B、第2電動機2B及び第2遊星歯車式減速機12Bは、ケース11内で車幅方向に左右対称に配置されている。左後輪LWrは、第1電動機2Aに対して第1遊星歯車式減速機12Aと反対側に位置し、右後輪RWrも、第2電動機2Bに対して第2遊星歯車式減速機12Bと反対側に位置する。
電動オイルポンプ70及び蓋部材72とともにオイル吸入路94を構成するストレーナ71は、蓋部材72のケース固定部72aよりも内部側に延出しており、ストレーナ71の吸入口71aは、蓋部材72がケース11に固定された取付状態において、第1左右連通路FPを構成するストレーナ収容室105の貯留部内に位置する。図8に示すように、電動オイルポンプ70及び蓋部材72には、オイル吸入路94と並列に電動オイルポンプ70から第1及び第2電動機2A、2B及び第1及び第2遊星歯車式減速機12A、12Bへオイルを供給するオイル吐出路95が形成されている。
例えば、前輪駆動装置6を内燃機関4を用いずに電動機5を唯一の駆動源とするものでもよい。また、原動機として、電動機を例示したがこれに限らず、エンジン等の熱機関、流体機械を用いてもよい。また、第1及び第2遊星歯車式減速機12A、12Bとは異なる他の変速機を採用することができ、さらに変速機を備えずに原動機と車輪とを直結する構成としてもよい。

Claims (7)
- 車両の左車輪と動力伝達可能に接続される第1原動機と、
前記第1原動機を収容し、前記第1原動機の冷却、前記第1原動機の潤滑、前記第1原動機と前記左車輪との動力伝達経路の冷却、及び前記第1原動機と前記左車輪との動力伝達経路の潤滑の少なくとも一つに供される液状流体を貯留する左貯留部を有する第1ケースと、
前記車両の右車輪と動力伝達可能に接続される第2原動機と、
前記第2原動機を収容し、前記第2原動機の冷却、前記第2原動機の潤滑、前記第2原動機と前記右車輪との動力伝達経路の冷却、及び前記第2原動機と前記右車輪との動力伝達経路の潤滑の少なくとも一つに供される液状流体を貯留する右貯留部を有する第2ケースと、
前記第1ケースと前記第2ケースとに挟まれるように配置され、前記左貯留部と前記右貯留部とを連通する左右連通路を有する第3ケースと、を備える車両用駆動装置であって、
前記左貯留部と前記右貯留部とが、前記車両の車幅方向に並んで配置され、
前記左右連通路に、前記液状流体を供給する液状流体供給装置に連通する吸入口と、該液状流体の性状を検出する液状流体センサとが配置されることを特徴とする車両用駆動装置。 - 前記液状流体センサは、前記左貯留部、前記右貯留部、及び前記左右連通路のうち、前記左右連通路のみに一つ配置されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の車両用駆動装置。
- 前記第3ケースは、前記左右連通路と並列に形成され、前記左貯留部と前記右貯留部とを連通する他の左右連通路をさらに有することを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の車両用駆動装置。
- 前記液状流体センサが、前記左右連通路の前記車幅方向で略中央に配置されることを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の車両用駆動装置。
- 前記液状流体センサと前記吸入口とは近接して配置されることを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の車両用駆動装置。
- 前記左右連通路は、前記吸入口を有するストレーナが配設される容積室を有し、
該容積室内に前記液状流体センサの検出部が配置されることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の車両用駆動装置。 - 前記液状流体センサは、前記液状流体の温度を検出することを特徴とする請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載の車両用駆動装置。
