Description
ここでこの繊維と高分子弾性体と撥水剤からなる基体層は、例えば、繊維から構成された繊維質基材に高分子弾性体を含浸・凝固し基体とし、それを撥水剤にて処理することにより得られる基体層である。そして基体層を構成する繊維質基材に用いられる繊維としては、ポリアミド、ポリエステルなどの合成繊維、レーヨン、アセテートなどの再生繊維、あるいは天然繊維などの単独または混合した繊維を挙げることができる。さらに好ましくは、ナイロン6、ナイロン66、ナイロン12などのポリアミド繊維や、ポリエチレンテレフタレートやポリブチレンテレフタレートなどのポリエステル繊維を挙げることができる。
そして本発明の繊維と高分子弾性体と撥水剤からなる基体層の見かけ密度としては柔軟性と強度とのバランスから0.2〜0.5g/cm3の範囲であることが好ましい。
(1)給水速度
吸水速度は、表皮材の表面に、高さ10mmの距離より、ビュウレットを用いて1滴(0.02cc)を滴下し、滴下直後から吸水するまでの時間を測定した。
<基体層の作成>
ナイロン6と低密度ポリエチレンを50/50で混合、エクストルダーで溶融、混合し290℃で混合紡糸し、延伸、油剤を処理しカットし5.5dtex、51mmの繊維を得た。これをカード、クロスラッパー、ニードルロッカー、カレンダーの工程を通し、重さ500g/m2、厚さ2.2mm、見掛け密度0.22g/cm3の絡合繊維質基材を得た。
実施例1と同じ繊維質基材、含浸液、コート液を使用し、繊維質基材に含浸し、基材厚さの80%でスクイズした後、基材の圧縮が回復する前に、コート層用の高分子弾性体溶液を固形分で900g/m2となるように塗布し、10%のジメチルホルムアミドを含有する40℃の水中で高分子弾性体を湿式凝固させ、水洗、乾燥を行った後、得られたシートを90℃の熱トルエン中で抽出処理を行い、極細繊維の繊維質基材と多孔質高分子弾性体からなる基体層とその上部に高分子弾性体コート層を有するシート状物を得た。このシート状物に、実施例1と同様に、開孔処理、エンボス、着色の仕上げを行いバレーボール用の外観をもった表皮材を得た。
実施例1と同様の繊維質基材を用い、比較例2と同様に、含浸、コート、エンボス、仕上げ処理を行い、その後、実施例1と同様の撥水の処理液を用いて、同様に撥水処理を行いバレーボール用の外観をもった表皮材を得た。
Claims (5)
- 繊維と高分子弾性体からなる基体を撥水処理して得た、繊維と高分子弾性体と撥水剤からなる基体層の表面に、高分子弾性体からなり撥水剤を含まない多孔質コート層が存在し、該コート層の表面が開口部を有し、表面側の水滴(0.02cm3)の吸収時間が15分以内であることを特徴とするボール用表皮材。
- コート層の厚さが0.15〜0.25mmである請求項1記載のボール用表皮材。
- 基体層の見かけ密度が0.2〜0.5g/cm3の範囲である請求項1または2記載のボール用表皮材。
- 撥水剤がフッ素系撥水剤である請求項1〜3のいずれか1項記載のボール用表皮材。
- 裏面側が水滴を吸収しないものである請求項1〜4のいずれか1項記載のボール用表皮材。
