Description
さらに、シートを支持する4箇所以上の支持部に対して荷重検知センサは3個で済むので、全支持部にセンサを配置する従来技術と比較して、材料コストおよび組み付けコストが低廉になり、また、センサを含むシートの重量を軽くできる。

Claims (6)
- 車両のシートの下側の左右に離隔配置されて前記シートに作用する荷重の一部をそれぞれ検知する第1荷重検知センサおよび第2荷重検知センサと、
前記第1荷重検知センサおよび前記第2荷重検知センサに対して前方または後方に離隔配置されて前記シートに作用する前記荷重の一部を検知する第3荷重検知センサと、
前記第1荷重検知センサで検知された第1荷重値と、前記第2荷重検知センサで検知された第2荷重値とを加算して左右和を求める左右和演算手段と、
前記第3荷重検知センサで検知された第3荷重値に基づいて乗員判定閾値を変化させる閾値変化手段と、
前記第1荷重値と前記第2荷重値との差分である左右差を求める左右差演算手段と、
求めた前記左右差に基づいて前記閾値変化手段で変化させた後の乗員判定閾値を補正する閾値補正手段と、
前記左右和が前記乗員判定閾値以上のときに大人が前記シートに着座していると判定し、前記左右和が前記乗員判定閾値未満のときに幼児を保持したチャイルドシートが前記シートに固縛されていると判定する乗員判定手段と、
を備えることを特徴とするシート乗員判定装置。 - 請求項1において、前記閾値補正手段は、前記左右差が所定値を越えるときに前記乗員判定閾値を低減補正することを特徴とするシート乗員判定装置。
- 請求項1または2において、前記シートを支持する4支持部のうち後方左右の2支持部に前記第1荷重検知センサおよび前記第2荷重検知センサが配置され、前方の左または右の支持部に前記第3荷重検知センサが配置されていることを特徴とするシート乗員判定装置。
- 請求項1〜3のいずれか一項において、前記閾値変化手段は、前記大人または前記幼児により前記シートに荷重が作用するときの第1荷重値、第2荷重値、および第3荷重値をそれぞれ実測することにより求めた乗員判定閾値を、閾値変動マップまたは閾値変動関数としてもつことを特徴とするシート乗員判定装置。
- 請求項1〜4のいずれか一項において、前記シートはその座面高さを昇降駆動するリフタを備え、該リフタよりも下側に前記第1荷重検知センサ、前記第2荷重検知センサ、および前記第3荷重検知センサが配置され、
前記閾値変化手段は、前記第3荷重値と前記第1および前記第2荷重値との相対的な関係に基づいて前記リフタの高さを推定するリフタ高さ推定手段と、推定した前記高さに基づいて前記乗員判定閾値を求める閾値演算手段と、を含むことを特徴とするシート乗員判定装置。 - 請求項5において、前記リフタ高さ推定手段は、前記第3荷重値と前記左右和との比率を表す前後比に基づいて前記リフタの前記高さを推定することを特徴とするシート乗員判定装置。
