Description
しかし、有機電界発光表示装置の場合、有機発光素子を発光させるための動作電圧範囲が表示装置の温度及び表示装置の使用時間により変わる。そのために、有機電界発光表示装置は、動作電圧範囲が変わっても安定的に有機発光ダイオードが発光するように、有機発光ダイオードに供給される駆動電源に所定の範囲のマージンを設定して供給する。このようなマージンは、不要な消費電力を発生させる。

Claims (7)
- 複数の発光素子を含む表示パネルに電源電圧を供給する電源電圧供給装置において、
前記表示パネルに流れるパネル電流を感知して、前記パネル電流及び前記電源電圧に応じてフィードバック電圧を調節する電源電圧制御部、及び
前記フィードバック電圧に応じて前記電源電圧を生成して前記複数の発光素子の各々に供給する直流−直流コンバータ
を含み、
前記電源電圧制御部は、
前記パネル電流に対応するパネル電流データを検出すると共に、前記表示パネルの電源電圧とパネル電流の電圧−電流特性曲線を用いて設定した前記電源電圧の所定の目標値を検出し、前記パネル電流データに対応する現在の前記電源電圧が前記目標値と同一になるように前記フィードバック電圧を制御するための基準電圧データを生成するフィードバック制御部、
前記基準電圧データに応じて基準電圧を生成するデジタル−アナログコンバータ、及び
前記電源電圧及び前記基準電圧の間の電圧差を抵抗分配して前記フィードバック電圧を生成するフィードバック電圧生成部
を含むことを特徴とする、電源電圧供給装置。 - 前記電源電圧制御部は、
前記基準電圧を前記デジタル−アナログコンバータから受信して出力するバッファーをさらに含む
ことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電源電圧供給装置。 - 前記フィードバック電圧生成部は、
前記直流−直流コンバータから前記電源電圧が供給される電源線に一端が接続された第3抵抗、
前記第3抵抗の他端に一端が接続され、前記バッファーの出力端に他端が接続された第4抵抗、及び
前記バッファーの出力端に一端が接続され、他端が接地されたキャパシタ
を含み、前記基準電圧を前記キャパシタが前記第4抵抗の前記他端に所定の時間ホールディングし、前記第3抵抗及び前記第4抵抗の抵抗比によって前記電圧差の前記抵抗分配をすることを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の電源電圧供給装置。 - 複数の発光素子を含み、所定の電源電圧が供給される表示パネル、
前記表示パネルに流れるパネル電流を感知して、前記パネル電流及び前記電源電圧に応じてフィードバック電圧を調節する電源電圧制御部、及び
前記フィードバック電圧に応じて前記電源電圧を生成して前記複数の発光素子の各々に供給する直流−直流コンバータ
を含み、
前記電源電圧制御部は、
前記パネル電流に対応するパネル電流データを検出すると共に、前記表示パネルの電源電圧とパネル電流の電圧−電流特性曲線を用いて設定した前記電源電圧の所定の目標値を検出し、前記パネル電流データに対応する現在の前記電源電圧が前記目標値と同一になるように前記フィードバック電圧を制御するための基準電圧データを生成するフィードバック制御部、
前記基準電圧データに応じて基準電圧を生成するデジタル−アナログコンバータ、及び
前記電源電圧及び前記基準電圧の間の電圧差を抵抗分配して前記フィードバック電圧を生成するフィードバック電圧生成部
を含むことを特徴とする、表示装置。 - 前記電源電圧制御部は、
前記基準電圧を前記デジタル−アナログコンバータから受信して出力するバッファーをさらに含む
ことを特徴とする、請求項4に記載の表示装置。 - 前記フィードバック電圧生成部は、
前記直流−直流コンバータから前記電源電圧が供給される電源線に一端が接続された第3抵抗、
前記第3抵抗の他端に一端が接続され、前記バッファーの出力端に他端が接続された第4抵抗、及び
前記バッファーの出力端に一端が接続され、他端が接地されたキャパシタ
を含み、前記基準電圧を前記キャパシタが前記第4抵抗の前記他端に所定の時間ホールディングし、前記第3抵抗及び前記第4抵抗の抵抗比によって前記電圧差の前記抵抗分配をすることを特徴とする、請求項5に記載の表示装置。 - 複数の発光素子に流れるパネル電流を感知する段階、
前記パネル電流及び電源電圧に応じてフィードバック電圧を調節する段階、及び
前記フィードバック電圧に応じて前記電源電圧を生成して前記複数の発光素子の各々に供給する段階
を含み、
前記フィードバック電圧を生成する段階は、
前記パネル電流に対応するパネル電流データを検出すると共に、前記複数の発光素子を含む表示パネルの電源電圧とパネル電流の電圧−電流特性曲線を用いて設定した前記電源電圧の所定の目標値を検出する段階、
前記パネル電流データに対応する現在の前記電源電圧が前記目標値と同一になるように前記フィードバック電圧を制御するための基準電圧データを生成する段階、
前記基準電圧データに応じて基準電圧を生成する段階、及び
前記電源電圧及び前記基準電圧の間の電圧差を抵抗分配する段階
を含むことを特徴とする、表示装置の駆動方法。
