a)化学式CnH2n+2Onを有しかつ20〜25℃の温度で固体材料であるポリオールを取り込む工程と、
b)ポリオールをジェットミル内に供給しかつ窒素ガスを用いて圧力を加える工程と、
c)マイクロナイズドポリオールを捕集する工程と、
を含む。
乾燥窒素のフローを用いて、67μmの平均粒径を有する結晶性マンニトールを、直径10cmの粉砕チャンバーを有するマイクロナイザー内に供給した。マイクロナイザー内への結晶性マンニトールの供給速度は、毎時3.1kgであった。ノズルを介して乾燥窒素をチャンバー内に注入することによりチャンバー内のガス圧力(P2)を2bar(2×105Pa)に保持した。33μmの平均粒径を一貫して有する乾燥自由流動性マイクロナイズドマンニトールを得た。
マイクロナイザーに供給した結晶性マンニトールが82μmの平均粒径を有していたこと、供給速度が毎時1.1kgであったこと、およびミルのチャンバー内のN2の圧力(P2)が1.5barであったこと以外は、実施例1に記載の手順を反復した。この場合も、マイクロナイズド生成物は、33μmの平均粒径を有していた。
以上の実施例1に記載したのと類似した手順を用いて、以下の表2に示されるように他のポリオールをマイクロナイズして好結果を得た。
圧縮性指数(%)=100×(Vo−Vf)/Vo
3回の測定の平均値を使用する。
使用した装置は、Pharma Test Apperatebau(Hainburg)製のPharma Test PTG−1であった。装置は、ノズル(オリフィス)を底部に有しかつ撹拌機を内部に備えたフロー漏斗を含んでいた。フロー漏斗は、秤上に配設された容器の上に鉛直に垂下される。装置は、異なる直径、たとえば、10mm、15mm、および25mmのオリフィスの選択肢を提供する。ノズル中を粉末が通過するのを支援するために撹拌機を使用可能でありかつ5〜25rpmの速度で使用可能である。

- 20〜60μmの粒径分布(d50)、5s/100g以下の流動度および40以上の圧縮性指数を有する、ポリオールのマイクロナイズド粉末であって、上記ポリオールがマンニトールおよびエリトリトールから選択される、上記マイクロナイズド粉末。
- 前記ポリオールがマンニトールである、請求項1に記載のポリオールのマイクロナイズド粉末。
- 前記ポリオールがエリトリトールである、請求項1に記載のポリオールのマイクロナイズド粉末。
- マンニトールおよびエリトリトールから選択される固体ポリオールをマイクロナイズして、20〜60μmの粒径分布(d50)、5s/100g以下の流動度および40以上の圧縮性指数を有する、請求項1−3のいずれかに記載の、ポリオールのマイクロナイズド粉末を得る方法であって、その方法が次の工程:
a)固体ポリオールを取り込み、
b)前記ポリオールを、外部から熱を加えずに、ジェットミル内に供給しかつ窒素ガスを用いて圧力を加え、その際ジェットミル内に加えられる圧力が2〜6バールの範囲内であり、
c)ポリオールのマイクロナイズド粉末を捕集すること
を含む、上記方法。 - マンニトールのマイクロナイズド粉末を含み、そして製造の24時間後に3500g以上の硬さを有する、請求項1−3のいずれか1つに記載のポリオールのマイクロナイズド粉末を含むチューインガム組成物。
