- 相対的に上側に配置され溶湯が通過する通路にガスを吹き込む筒状上段ポーラス耐火物と、前記上段ポーラス耐火物よりも相対的に下側に配置され溶湯が通過する通路にガスを吹き込む筒状下段ポーラス耐火物と、前記上段ポーラス耐火物と前記下段ポーラス耐火物との間に介装される筒状緻密質耐火物と、前記上段ポーラス耐火物に吹込ガスを供給する上段ガス導入通路と、前記下段ポーラス耐火物に吹込ガスを供給する下段ガス導入通路と、前記上段ポーラス耐火物、前記緻密質耐火物及び前記下段ポーラス耐火物の外周面を包囲する金属皮体と、を具備するタンディッシュ上部ノズルにおいて、
前記上段ポーラス耐火物と前記下段ポーラス耐火物との間でかつ前記金属皮体の内側に、前記筒状緻密質耐火物の上段部及び下段部となる筒状上段緻密質耐火物と、筒状下段緻密質耐火物と、前記上段緻密質耐火物と前記下段緻密質耐火物との間に填装されている耐熱シール材からなるガスシール層と、前記筒状上段緻密質耐火物と前記筒状下段緻密質耐火物及び前記ガスシール層を包囲する内側金属皮体と、が介装されていることを特徴とするタンディッシュ上部ノズル。 - 前記耐熱シール材は、焼成により体積が増大する組成を有する請求項1に記載のタンディッシュ上部ノズル。
- 前記耐熱シール材は、少なくともアルミナを含有し、更にシリカ及び或いはマグネシアを含有する請求項1または2に記載のタンディッシュ上部ノズル。
