Description
図1は、本発明の実施形態にかかる密閉型電池1の概略構成を示す斜視図である。図2は、図1におけるII−II線断面図である。図1及び図2に示すように、密閉形電池1は、有底筒状の外装缶10と、該外装缶10の開口を覆う蓋板20と、該外装缶10内に収納される電極体30とを備えている。外装缶10に蓋板20を取り付けることによって、内部に空間を有する柱状の電池ケース2が構成される。なお、この電池ケース2内には、電極体30以外に、非水電解液(以下、単に電解液という)も封入されている。
次に、インナーフレーム42の構成を図3から図5を用いて詳細に説明する。
次に、上述のような構成を有する密閉型電池1の製造方法について、図1、図4及び図6を用いて説明する。
次に、上述のようにオーバーハング部52によってPTC素子43を覆う場合と、PTC素子を四方から覆う場合(PTC素子を覆う角筒状にする場合)とにおいて、PTC素子とインナーフレームとの隙間内への樹脂の浸入防止効果の違いを説明する。
以上より、この実施形態によれば、電池ケース2の端部に取り付けるインナーフレーム42に、PTC素子43の成形体43bを覆うオーバーハング部52を設けたため、樹脂41を射出成形する際に該オーバーハング部52の庇部52bが変形して該庇部52bとPTC素子43との隙間を小さくすることができる。これにより、樹脂41を射出成形する際に、溶融した樹脂が該隙間内に浸入するのを防止できる。
以上、本発明の実施の形態を説明したが、上述した実施の形態は本発明を実施するための例示に過ぎない。よって、上述した実施の形態に限定されることなく、その趣旨を逸脱しない範囲内で上述した実施の形態を適宜変形して実施することが可能である。
Claims (8)
- 内部に充放電可能な電極体及び電解液が封入されていて、該内部の圧力が閾値を超えた場合に開裂するベント部が設けられている柱状の電池ケースと、
前記電池ケース上に樹脂を成形する際に、該電池ケースのベント部が樹脂によって覆われないように該ベント部の外表面の少なくとも一部を覆うカバーと、
前記電池ケースの端子に電気的に接続されていて、温度が閾値以上になると電流を遮断する温度保護素子とを備え、
前記カバーは、前記温度保護素子を該カバー上に載置した状態で該温度保護素子の少なくとも一部を覆うように設けられたオーバーハング部を有していて、
前記オーバーハング部は、前記温度保護素子における前記電池ケースとは反対側を覆い、前記温度保護素子との隙間が0.1mm未満となる庇部を有し、
前記温度保護素子は、少なくとも一部が前記オーバーハング部によって覆われた状態で、前記カバーとともに樹脂によって覆われている、密閉型電池。 - 請求項1に記載の密閉型電池において、
前記オーバーハング部は、前記温度保護素子を少なくとも2方向から覆うように断面L字状に形成されている、密閉型電池。 - 請求項1または2に記載の密閉型電池において、
前記オーバーハング部は、前記庇部を支えるとともに、該温度保護素子を側方から覆う支持部を有し、
前記庇部には、該庇部が前記温度保護素子側に変形可能なように、他の部分に比べて剛性の低い低剛性部が設けられている、密閉型電池。 - 請求項3に記載の密閉型電池において、
前記オーバーハング部の庇部は、平板状に形成されていて、
前記低剛性部は、前記庇部における前記温度保護素子に面する側とは反対側の面に設けられた凹部によって構成される、密閉型電池。 - 請求項3または4に記載の密閉型電池において、
前記温度保護素子は、平面視で長方形状に形成されていて、
前記オーバーハング部の庇部は、前記温度保護素子に対応して平面視で長方形状に形成されていて、
前記支持部は、平面視で前記庇部の長辺側に設けられている、密閉型電池。 - 請求項1から5のいずれか一つに記載の密閉型電池において、
前記温度保護素子は、前記電池ケースの端子に接続される側とは反対側が、接続線を介して保護回路に接続されていて、
前記保護回路は、前記カバー上に配置されていて、
前記接続線は、一部が前記カバーのオーバーハング部上に位置するように、折り曲げられている、密閉型電池。 - 請求項1から6のいずれか一つに記載の密閉型電池において、
前記オーバーハング部は、前記カバーに一体成形されている、密閉型電池。 - 柱状の電池ケースの内部に充放電可能な電極体及び電解液を封入する電池本体製造工程と、
温度保護素子を覆いつつ該温度保護素子を内方でスライド移動可能なオーバーハング部を有するカバーを準備するカバー準備工程と、
前記温度保護素子に接続される2つの接続線のうち一方の接続線に、保護回路を接続する温度保護素子準備工程と、
前記電池ケース上に、前記カバーを取り付けるカバー取付工程と、
前記保護回路と接続された温度保護素子を、前記カバーに対して、前記オーバーハング部によって覆われる位置までスライド移動させて、前記オーバーハング部の庇部との隙間が0.1mm未満となるように取り付けられる温度保護素子取付工程と、
前記温度保護素子に接続される他方の接続線を、前記電池ケースの端子に接続する端子接続工程と、
前記保護回路が前記カバー上に位置するように、該保護回路と前記温度保護素子とを接続する前記一方の接続線を折り曲げるリード線折曲工程と、
前記温度保護素子、カバー及び保護回路を樹脂によって覆うように、前記電池ケース上に樹脂を成形する樹脂成形工程とを有する、密閉型電池の製造方法。
