Claims (8)
- 動力マイター鋸において、
加工片を位置決めするためのフェンスを持つ鋸ベースと、
前記鋸ベースに回転自在に連結された、テーブル面を備えるテーブルと、
前記テーブルを前記鋸ベースに対して角度をなして位置決めするためのマイターアームアッセンブリと、
鋸ブレードを前記テーブルに向かって加工片を切断する位置に下ろすように、前記テーブルに枢着された鋸ブレード−モータアッセンブリと、
前記鋸ブレードを切断位置に下ろすため、前記鋸ブレード−モータアッセンブリに連結されたハンドルと、
前記ハンドルと隣接しており、オペレータが係合するように位置決めされた、前記鋸ブレード−モータアッセンブリを作動させるための作動スイッチと、
前記テーブルと関連した検出ゾーンであって、ほぼ前記ハンドルから下方に前記テーブルの上方及び前方所定距離の開放空間内に角度をなして円弧状に延びる検出ゾーン内の物体の存在を検出するため、前記鋸ブレード−モータアッセンブリに配置された近接センサと、
前記近接センサに接続された、前記近接センサが前記検出ゾーン内の物体の存在を検出するのに応じて電気検出信号を発生するように形成された電気回路と、
前記検出信号の発生に応じて前記テーブルに光を差し向けるように前記鋸ブレード−モータアッセンブリに連結されたライト及びレーザーと、を含み、
前記ライトは、オペレータに見易いように加工片を照らすように前記テーブル面全体を照らし、前記レーザーは、前記ブレードによって加工片に形成される切断線の少なくとも一部とほぼ一致する、少なくとも一つの視認可能な線を発生する、鋸。 - 請求項1に記載の鋸において、更に、
電源に接続するための電気コードを含み、
前記近接センサは、前記電気コードが電源に接続されている場合、前記電気回路によって作動される、鋸。 - 請求項1に記載の鋸において、
前記近接センサは、前記ハンドルの一部に設置されており、前記検出ゾーンに赤外線エネルギ放射し、反射エネルギを検出するように形成されている、鋸。 - 請求項3に記載の鋸において、
前記赤外線エネルギは、前記テーブル上に及び前記テーブルの上方及び前方の空間内に外方に末広がりになっており、
前記エネルギは、同期検出が用いられるように所定の周波数で放射され、同じ所定の周波数での反射のみを検出することにより、周囲赤外線及び迷赤外線によって偽検出信号が発生される可能性を最小限にする、鋸。 - 請求項3に記載の鋸において、
前記ハンドルは、前グリップ部分及びその後方の開口部を有し、該開口部にオペレータの手を入れて前記グリップ部分を掴むことができ、前記センサは、赤外線エネルギが前記グリップ部分の下方の位置から前記検出ゾーンに向かって放射されるように、前記ハンドルに取り付けられている、鋸。 - 請求項5に記載の鋸において、
前記グリップ部分は、全体に水平方向に配向されており、前記センサは前記グリップ部分の後方に前記開口部の反対側に配置されている、鋸。 - 請求項3に記載の鋸において、
前記センサから放射される赤外線エネルギは、所定の周波数で変調される、鋸。 - 請求項1に記載の鋸において、
前記近接センサは、前記スイッチと隣接して設置されており、赤外線エネルギを前記検出ゾーン内に放射し、反射エネルギを検出するように形成されている、鋸。
