Description
Claims (10)
- シリンダ(2)内で往復可能にクランクシャフト(3)に接続されたピストン(1)と、
前記ピストン(1)により部分的に構成された燃焼室(4)と、
前記シリンダ(2)に相対的に固定されたバルブハウジング(8)内部の穴内で回転可能な回転バルブ(5)とを有する回転バルブ内燃エンジンであって、
前記回転バルブ(5)が、部分的に前記燃焼室(4)を構成する空洞部(9)を含むバルブ体(6)を有し、さらに前記バルブ(5)の回転中に前記バルブハウジング(8)において吸気ポート(13)および排気ポート(14)を介して前記燃焼室(4)に対して連続的に流体連通を提供するポート(12a)を前記空洞部(9)の壁面部分(11)に有し、
前記バルブ(5)内の前記ポート(12a)が、前記燃焼室(4)に隣接する前記バルブ体(6)の壁面の下周縁(11a)に形成された凹部であって、前記凹部が、前記バルブ(5)の前記壁面部分(11)の前記下縁(11a)から上方に延びて、前記バルブ(5)の側部に前記ポート(12a)を形成しており、
前記バルブ(5)が、前記燃焼室(4)から離間して配置されたベアリング(7)内で回転可能に該ベアリング(7)に装着され、
前記ベアリング(7)が、前記燃焼室(4)と吸気ポート及び排気ポート(13,14)との間のリーク経路を減少させるように前記バルブ(5)を前記バルブハウジング内部の穴内で移動させるために必要な小さな遊び量を提供しつつ、前記バルブ(5)の下部にかかる燃焼圧力を受けるように構成されていることを特徴とする回転バルブ内燃エンジン。 - シリンダ(2)内で往復可能にクランクシャフト(3)に接続されたピストン(1)と、
前記ピストン(1)により部分的に構成された燃焼室(4)と、
前記シリンダ(2)に相対的に固定されたバルブハウジング(8)内部の穴内で回転可能な回転バルブ(5)とを有する回転バルブ内燃エンジンであって、
前記回転バルブ(5)が、部分的に前記燃焼室(4)を構成する空洞部(9)を含むバルブ体(6)を有し、さらに前記バルブ(5)の回転中に前記バルブハウジング(8)において吸気ポート(13)および排気ポート(14)を介して前記燃焼室(4)に対して連続的に流体連通を提供するポート(12)を前記空洞部(9)の壁面部分(11)に有し、
前記バルブ(5)内の前記ポート(12)が、前記バルブ体(6)の前記壁面部分(11)の穴であり、前記壁面部分(11)が、前記ポート(12)の下方に形成されて前記燃焼室(4)に隣接するリップ部(11b)を有し、
前記リップ部(11b)の表面が、前記壁面部分(11)の周囲の輪郭から離間しており、前記リップ部(11b)と前記バルブハウジング(8)との間の間隙により、前記バルブ(5)のこの領域内で発生する焼き付きや摩耗のリスクを最小限に抑えることが可能であり、
前記バルブ(5)が、前記燃焼室(4)から離間して配置されたベアリング(7)内で回転可能に該ベアリング(7)に装着され、
前記ベアリング(7)が、前記燃焼室(4)と吸気ポート及び排気ポート(13,14)との間のリーク経路を減少させるように前記バルブ(5)を前記バルブハウジング内部の穴内で移動させるために必要な小さな遊び量を提供しつつ、前記バルブ(5)の下部にかかる燃焼圧力を受けるように構成されていることを特徴とする
回転バルブ内燃エンジン。 - 前記空洞部(9)が、前記バルブ(5)の回転軸を中心として均一な輪郭を有する略半球形状の閉鎖端部(10)を有し、前記燃焼室(4)の残余部分に対して開放されている請求項1または2に記載のエンジン。
- 前記壁面部分(11)の外面が、略円筒形である請求項1、2または3に記載のエンジン。
- 前記ベアリング(7)が、単一のボールレースである請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載のエンジン。
- 前記バルブ(5)の回転軸(26)が、前記シリンダ(2)の軸(2a)に対して直角をなしており、前記回転バルブ(5)が、前記クランクシャフト(3)と平行であって無端ベルト(21)によって前記クランクシャフト(3)から駆動される請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載のエンジン。
- 前記バルブ(5)の回転軸(26)が、前記シリンダ(2)の軸(2a)に対して直角をなしており、前記回転バルブ(5)が、前記クランクシャフト(3)と平行であって無端チェーンによって前記クランクシャフト(3)から駆動される請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載のエンジン。
- 前記バルブ(5)へのベルト駆動力が、前記バルブ(5)に固定されたプーリー(17)を介して伝達され、前記プーリー(17)が、前記バルブ(5)における前記燃焼室(4)から離間した側に固定されている請求項6に記載のエンジン。
- 前記バルブ(5)へのチェーン駆動力が、前記バルブ(5)に固定された歯車を介して伝達され、前記歯車が、前記バルブ(5)における前記燃焼室(4)から離間した側に固定されている請求項7に記載のエンジン。
- 前記回転バルブ体(5)が、鋼から形成され、プラズマ窒化された後、最終的な寸法に研削され、その後PVDコーティングが施されている請求項1〜9のいずれか1項に記載のエンジン。
