請求項5に記載した発明によれば、アウターフェンダーを簡単な構造でバッテリケースに連続させて形成できる。
図1、図2に示すように、鞍乗り型電動車両としての電動三輪車両1は、バッテリ駆動式の電動車両であって、前面にウインドスクリーン2を有し、底面に低床式のフロア3を有するルーフ付きのキャビン4を備えている。電動三輪車両1は側面から見てU字状に形成された車体フレーム5を備えている。
ステアリングシャフトの上端にはハンドルポスト14が取り付けられ、ハンドルポスト14の上端にハンドル15が取り付けられている。
モータケース33は側壁41にバッテリケース50の周壁が取り付けられるケース取付座39を備えている。収容凹部44の前部の下壁45には各ハンガープレート20の上部が上部ボルト25,25により前後2箇所で固定される図示しない固定部が設けられている。収容凹部44の内側壁には、上下方向にガイドレール29が設けられている。
ケース本体54の内部には蓋58を取り付けた状態で、蓋58の空気取り入れダクト70に連通し、空気取り入れダクト70に対して屈曲して下方に向かう空気導入通路73が形成されている。空気導入通路73はケース本体54の内部に設けられた仕切り壁74により、バッテリケース50の前壁64との間に形成され、仕切り壁74はケース本体54の膨出部60の底壁75との近傍まで延出し、仕切り壁74の下端と底壁75との間に導入口76を形成している。
ケース本体54の開口部55の周縁にはフランジ部56が形成されている。このフランジ部56にシール材57を介して蓋58がボルト59により固定されている。よって、ボルト59を外して蓋58を取り外すことにより開口部55が開放し、ボルト59を締め付ければ蓋58で開口部55を閉塞することができる。
車両走行時の走行風及び後輪8R,8Lの回転により生ずる空気流が、インナーフェンダー63として機能するケース本体54の側壁62及びアウターフェンダー66に沿って流れることによりバッテリケース50を冷却できる。
バッテリ51の充放電状況や温度等はバッテリマネージングユニット97が監視し、かつその情報はECU99と共有される。ECU99には、アクセル開度信号に加えて各種センサー類からの信号情報が入力され、これらの情報に基づき、ECU99がパワードライブユニット98を介してモータ32を駆動制御する。バッテリ51には、外部の給電機器から充電コネクタ80を介して電力が供給される。
よって、上部バッテリ52だけを設けた場合に比較して下部バッテリ53の増加分だけ低重心化を図ることができると共にバッテリ容量を増加でき、電動三輪車両1の航続距離を伸ばすことができる。
また、車体下部側に位置する重量のある下部バッテリ53とモータ32とが、後輪8R,8Lの車軸34の車両前側と後輪8R,8Lの車軸34の車両後側とに振り分けて配置されるため、車軸34の前後で大きな重量をバランスよく振り分けることができる。
バッテリケース50のフランジ部56に左右方向外側に張り出すフランジ延長部65を設け、このフランジ延長部65にアウターフェンダー66を取り付けたため、アウターフェンダー66を簡単な構造でバッテリケース50に連続させて形成できる。
この実施形態はパワーユニット9を構成するバッテリケース50とモータケース33との構成が異なっている。バッテリケース50のケース本体54には後側の底壁75に膨出部60’が形成され、これに対応してモータケース33の後部に収容凹部44’が形成されている。また、モータケース33の前部にはモータ32が配置され、このモータ32とバッテリケース50のケース本体54の膨出部60’に収容された下部バッテリ53とが、後輪8R,8Lの車軸34の車両前側と後輪8R,8Lの車軸34の車両後側とに振り分けて配置されている。
更に、充電コネクタ80を設けて外部の商用充電装置により充電する場合について説明したが、家庭用電源により充電する形式を採用することができる。この場合には、図1に鎖線で示すように、コネクタ収容部81に100V用のプラグPをコードと一緒に収納できるようにしてもよく、また、シート10のシートバック10bを前側に倒し、背面側に100V用のプラグP及びコードを収納できるようにしてもよい。尚、100V用のプラグPを用いる場合には、バッテリケース50の内部にインバータを設ける。

Claims (5)
- 車体後部の左右に後輪(8R,8L)を備えた電動車両において、前記後輪(8R,8L)を駆動する走行駆動用のモータ(32)と、このモータ(32)の上方に配置されたバッテリ(51)とが設けられ、前記バッテリ(51)の一部に前記左右の後輪(8R,8L)の間に落とし込まれる下部バッテリ(53)が配置され、前記下部バッテリ(53)と前記モータ(32)とが、前記後輪(8R,8L)の車軸(34)の車両前側と前記後輪(8R,8L)の車軸(34)の車両後側とに振り分けて配置され、車体フレーム(5r)にリヤクッション(21)の上端部が支持され、前記リヤクッション(21)の下端に前記バッテリ(51)と前記モータ(32)とが支持されていることを特徴とする鞍乗り型電動車両。
- 前記後輪(8R,8L)の後端よりも前側に前記バッテリ(51)が配置されていることを特徴とする請求項1記載の鞍乗り型電動車両。
- 前記バッテリ(51)の上方に荷台(11)が設けられ、前記荷台(11)がヒンジ(69)を介して上方向に回動可能に支持されていることを特徴とする請求項1又は請求項2記載の鞍乗り型電動車両。
- 前記バッテリ(51)がバッテリケース(50)に収容され、前記バッテリケース(50)の左右側壁(62)がインナーフェンダー(63)を構成していることを特徴とする請求項1〜請求項3の何れか一項に記載の鞍乗り型電動車両。
- 前記バッテリケース(50)は上部にシール(57)を備えた蓋(58)を開閉可能に備え、前記バッテリケース(50)の側壁(62)に前記シール部分よりも左右方向外側に張り出すフランジ部(65)を設け、このフランジ部(65)にアウターフェンダー(66)を取り付けたことを特徴とする請求項4記載の鞍乗り型電動車両。
