参照触媒試料を、Darbhaらに付与された米国特許出願公開第2007/0004599号明細書に記載されている通りに調製した。参照触媒試料は、水性媒体中のフェロシアン化カリウムおよび塩化亜鉛を、tert−ブチルアルコールを使用して反応させ、続いて、ポリエチレングリコール4000の補助錯生成剤を添加することにより調製された二重金属シアン化物触媒であった。生じた粉末試料を、本明細書に記載の触媒の活性/性能と比較するために使用した。参照触媒試料を、触媒Rと名付けた。
Claims (26)
- 1種または複数の脂肪酸アルキルエステルを製造する方法であって:
触媒の存在下で、1種または複数の脂肪酸グリセリドを1種または複数のアルコールと接触させて、1種または複数の反応生成物を生じさせる、接触させるステップを備え、その際、前記触媒は、1種または複数の金属酸化物および助触媒を含み、前記金属酸化物のうちの少なくとも1種は、周期表のVIB族からの金属を含み、前記助触媒は、周期表のVA族からの少なくとも1種の元素を含んでおり;
1種または複数の前記反応生成物を前記触媒から分離するステップを備え;
1種または複数の前記脂肪酸アルキルエステルを前記反応生成物から分離するステップを備える、脂肪酸アルキルエステルを製造する方法。 - 前記脂肪酸アルキルエステルが、ミリスチン酸、パルミチン酸、パルミトレイン酸、ステアリン酸、オレイン酸、リノール酸、リノレン酸、アラキジン酸およびそれらの混合物のアルキルエステルである、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記脂肪酸グリセリドが、植物油、動物脂肪または調理用オイルの廃油から得られる、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 少なくとも1種の前記脂肪酸グリセリドが、ヤシ油、パーム油、ヒマワリ油、大豆油、カラシ油、オリーブ油、綿実油、ナタネ油、マーガリン油、ホホバ油、ジャトロファ油、カランジャ油およびこれらの混合物からなる群から選択される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 少なくとも1種の前記アルコールが、メタノール、エタノール、プロパノール、ブタノール、ペンタノール、オクタノール、2−エチルヘキサノール、デカノール、ドデカノールおよびこれらの混合物からなる群から選択される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 少なくとも1種の前記アルコールが、1から50までの範囲の炭素数を有する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 脂肪酸グリセリドとアルコールとのモル比が、1:6から1:50までの範囲である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記接触するステップを150℃から250℃までの範囲の温度で行う、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 周期表のVIB族からの前記金属がモリブデンを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 周期表のVA族からの前記元素がリンを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 少なくとも1種の前記脂肪酸アルキルエステルがバイオディーゼルとして使用される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 少なくとも1種の前記脂肪酸アルキルエステルがバイオ潤滑剤として使用される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 少なくとも1種の前記脂肪酸アルキルエステルがバイオ燃料として使用される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 1種または複数の前記脂肪酸アルキルエステルを前記反応生成物から分離するステップが、前記反応生成物と非極性溶媒との接触を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記触媒が補助助触媒をさらに含み、前記補助助触媒が周期表のIA族からの1種または複数を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記触媒が補助助触媒をさらに含み、前記補助助触媒が周期表のIIA族からの1種または複数を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記触媒が補助助触媒をさらに含み、前記補助助触媒が周期表のIIIB族からの1種または複数の金属を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記触媒が補助助触媒をさらに含み、前記補助助触媒が周期表のVIII族からの1種または複数の金属を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記触媒が補助助触媒をさらに含み、前記補助助触媒がカルシウムを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記触媒が補助助触媒をさらに含み、前記補助助触媒がカリウムを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記触媒が補助助触媒をさらに含み、前記補助助触媒がランタンを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記触媒が補助助触媒をさらに含み、前記補助助触媒がニッケルを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記触媒が固体の酸触媒である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 接触の間、触媒が、脂肪酸グリセリド、アルコール、および、その反応生成物とは別の相のままである、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 脂肪酸アルキルエステルを製造する方法であって:
触媒の存在下で、1種または複数の脂肪酸グリセリドを1種または複数のアルコールと接触させて、1種または複数の反応生成物を生じさせる接触をさせるステップを備え、その際、前記触媒は、1種または複数の金属酸化物、助触媒および補助助触媒を含み、前記金属酸化物のうちの少なくとも1種は、周期表のVIB族からの金属を含んでおり;
1種または複数の反応生成物を触媒から分離するステップを備え;
1種または複数の脂肪酸アルキルエステルを反応生成物から分離するステップを備える、製造する方法。 - 請求項1から23に記載されている通りの脂肪酸アルキルエステルを製造する方法。
