Description
1.発明の分野
本発明は、一般に、高性能コンポジット部品を製造するのに使用されるプレ含浸コンポジット材料(プリプレグ)に関する。より詳細には、本発明は、硬化/成形することによって、改善された強度および損傷許容性の両方を有するコンポジット部品を形成することができるプリプレグを提供することを対象とする。
コンポジット材料は一般に、連続樹脂マトリックス(continuous resin matrix)と強化用繊維を2つの主成分として含む。コンポジット材料は、航空宇宙産業分野などの要求の厳しい環境において機能することを要求されることが多く、したがって、コンポジットの物理的限度および特性は、極めて重要である。とくに、あるコンポジット材料部品をどの程度軽量に製造することができるかを決定する場合、コンポジットの引張強度および弾性率は、重要な要因である。
本発明によれば、成形することによって、高レベルの強度および損傷許容性の両方を有するコンポジット部品を形成することができるプレ含浸コンポジット材料(プリプレグ)が提供される。これは、未硬化プリプレグまたは硬化したコンポジット部品の物理的または化学的特性にいずれの実質的な悪影響も生じさせることなく実現される。
本発明のプレ含浸コンポジット材料(プリプレグ)は、航空宇宙産業ならびに高構造強度および損傷許容性が要求される、任意の他の用途におけるコンポジット部品を形成するのに使用されている、現存するプリプレグの代替として使用することができる。本発明は、プリプレグを製造するために使用されている現存する樹脂の代わりに、本発明の樹脂配合物を使用することを伴う。したがって、本発明の樹脂配合物は、任意の従来のプリプレグ製造方法および硬化方法において使用するのに適している。
本発明による好ましい例示的な樹脂の配合を、表1に示す。マトリックス樹脂は、エポキシ成分を室温でポリエーテルスルホンと混合して樹脂ブレンドを生成し、これを120℃で120分間加熱して、ポリエーテルスルホンを完全に溶解させることによって調製した。この混合物を80℃に冷却し、成分の残りを添加し、完全に混合した。
追加の例(3E)のプリプレグを本発明に従って作製した。このプリプレグは、炭素繊維強化材(268gsmの面重量)を含み、これは、異なる繊維表面処理を使用したことを除いて、前述の例で使用した炭素繊維に類似していた。マトリックス樹脂の配合を表4に示す。比較のプリプレグ(C3)も調製した。C3についてのマトリックスの配合も表4に示す。
3つの追加のプリプレグの例(F〜H)を本発明に従って作製した。このプリプレグは、例3で使用した繊維と同じである、炭素繊維強化材(268gsmの面重量)を含んでいた。3つのマトリックス樹脂の配合を表6に示す。
Claims (10)
- 以下を含むプレ含浸コンポジット材料:
A)強化用繊維、ならびに
B)以下を含むマトリックス:
a)硬化前の該マトリックスの22から28重量パーセントのビスフェノールFのジグリシジルエーテル、
b)硬化前の該マトリックスの25から30重量パーセントのトリグリシジルメタ−アミノフェノール、
c)硬化前の該マトリックスの5から20重量パーセントの不溶性熱可塑性粒子であって、同重量の、ポリアミド6粒子を含有する粒子ならびにポリアミド6及びポリアミド12のコポリマーの粒子を含む不溶性熱可塑性粒子、
d)硬化前の該マトリックスの13から17重量パーセントのポリエーテルスルホン、および
e)芳香族ジアミン硬化剤からなる硬化剤。 - プレ含浸コンポジット材料中のマトリックスの量が、25重量パーセントと45重量パーセントの間である、請求項1に記載のプレ含浸コンポジット材料。
- 強化用繊維が、ガラス、炭素およびアラミドからなる群から選択される、請求項1に記載のプレ含浸コンポジット材料。
- 強化用繊維が、織物、単方向繊維、ランダム配向繊維、または擬似等方性細断単方向繊維テープの形態である、請求項2に記載のプレ含浸コンポジット材料。
- マトリックスが、15から17重量パーセントの芳香族ジアミン硬化剤を含む、請求項1に記載のプレ含浸コンポジット材料。
- 硬化剤が4,4−ジアミノジフェニルスルホンである、請求項5に記載のプレ含浸コンポジット材料。
- マトリックスが、
15から17重量パーセントの4,4−ジアミノジフェニルスルホンを含む、請求項6に記載のプレ含浸コンポジット材料。 - 請求項1に記載のプレ含浸コンポジット材料を含むコンポジット部品であって、マトリックスが硬化されているコンポジット部品。
- 以下のステップを含むプレ含浸コンポジット材料を製造するための方法:
A)強化用繊維を提供するステップ、ならびに
B)強化用繊維にマトリックスを含浸させるステップであって、該マトリックスが以下を含むステップ:
a)硬化前の該マトリックスの22から28重量パーセントのビスフェノールFのジグリシジルエーテル、
b)硬化前の該マトリックスの25から30重量パーセントのトリグリシジルメタ−アミノフェノール、
c)硬化前の該マトリックスの5から20重量パーセントの不溶性熱可塑性粒子であって、同重量の、ポリアミド6粒子を含有する粒子ならびにポリアミド6及びポリアミド12のコポリマーの粒子を含む不溶性熱可塑性粒子、
d)硬化前の該マトリックスの13から17重量パーセントのポリエーテルスルホン、および
e)芳香族ジアミン硬化剤からなる硬化剤。 - コンポジット部品を製造するための方法であって、請求項1に記載のプレ含浸コンポジット材料を硬化させるステップを含む方法。
