Description
Claims (17)
- 加工物内に穴を作製するために使用される略円筒状の切削工具の先端であって、前記先端が中心軸線と切削端部とを有し、かつ切削方向に回転するように設計され、前記先端が、
a1)直径方向に対向する2つの溝を有する本体と、
a2)前記本体の外周部における前記2つの溝の間の部分であるランドであって、前縁と、前記工具の回転方向に対して前記前縁の後方に位置する縁部である後縁とを各々有するランドと、
b)前記ランドの各々の互いに離間した1次マージン及び2次マージンであって、前記1次マージンが前記前縁に隣接し、前記本体に沿って一定のマージン直径を有する1次マージン及び2次マージンと、
c)各々のランドの前記前縁から最内側端部に内側方向に延在する切削リップと、
d)各々の切削リップの前記最内側端部を結ぶ線によって画定されるとともに、真直な中央部と湾曲端部とを有する「S」形状であるチゼルエッジと、
を備え、
e)前記中心軸線に沿って見たとき、前記チゼルエッジは、前記ランドの前縁から前記チゼルエッジの中間点まで半径方向に延在する直線と、前記中間点における前記チゼルエッジの真直な中央部と、によりチゼルエッジ角を形成し、
f)前記チゼルエッジ角が80度〜100度である

- 前記チゼルエッジの真直な中央部が、12ミリメートル〜13ミリメートルの外径を有するドリルについて0.25ミリメートルの長さを有する、請求項1に記載の先端。
- 前記チゼルエッジが前記切削リップ内に移行し、前記移行領域が、12ミリメートル〜13ミリメートルの外径について0.4ミリメートル〜1.5ミリメートルの半径を有する、請求項1に記載の先端。
- ガッシュが、前記溝から前記チゼルエッジに上方に延在し、前記ガッシュが前記チゼルエッジにおける正のすくい角を画定する、請求項1に記載の先端。
- 前記マージンの間の凹部が、前記マージン直径MDよりも小さいクリアランス直径によって画定される、請求項1に記載の先端。
- 前記1次マージンが前記ランドの前記前縁に隣接し、前記2次マージンが前記ランドの前記後縁に隣接している、請求項1に記載の先端。
- 前記1次マージンが前記ランドの前記前縁に隣接し、前記2次マージンが前記1次マージンにより近い方向に前記後縁から離間している、請求項1に記載の先端。
- フランクが前記ランドと前記チゼルエッジとの間に延在し、前記ランドと前記フランクとの間に面取り部がある、請求項1に記載の先端。
- 面取り部が前記中心軸線に対して70度〜90度の角度を形成する、請求項9に記載の先端。
- 溝が螺旋状である、請求項1に記載の先端。
- 前記先端を収容する端部を有するシャンクを有するツイストドリルをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の先端。
- 前記本体が、工具シャンクからの螺合ボルトと係合するための前記中心軸線に沿ったねじ付きボアを有する、請求項1に記載の先端。
- 切削端部に先端を有する回転可能な切削工具であって、前記先端が、
a1)直径方向に対向する2つの溝を有する本体と、
a2)前記本体の外周部における前記2つの溝の間の部分であるランドであって、前縁と、前記工具の回転方向に対して前記前縁の後方に位置する縁部である後縁とを各々有するランドと、
b)前記ランドの各々の互いに離間した1次マージン及び2次マージンであって、前記1次マージンが前記前縁に隣接し、前記本体に沿って一定のマージン直径を有する1次マージン及び2次マージンと、
c)各々のランドの前記前縁から最内側端部に内側方向に延在する切削リップと、
d)各々の切削リップの前記最内側端部を結ぶ線によって画定されるとともに、真直な中央部と湾曲端部とを有する「S」形状であるチゼルエッジと、
を備え、
e)前記中心軸線に沿って見たとき、前記チゼルエッジは、前記ランドの前記前縁から前記チゼルエッジの中間点まで半径方向に延在する直線と、前記中間点における前記チゼルエッジの真直な中央部と、によりチゼルエッジ角を形成し、
f)前記チゼルエッジ角が80度〜100度である
回転可能な切削工具。 - 前記工具がシャンクを有し、前記先端本体が前記シャンクから取り外し可能である、請求項14に記載の切削工具。
- 前記先端本体が、前記工具シャンクからの噛合ボルトと係合するための前記抽伸軸線に沿ったねじ付きボアを有する、請求項14に記載の切削工具。
- 前記先端本体が前記工具シャンクの一体部分である、請求項14に記載の切削工具。
