Claims (4)
- 光源部と、
前記光源部からの照射光の光路中に配置され、前記光源部からの照射光のうち、自己の偏光透過軸方向に振動する第1偏光成分については透過させ、自己の偏光透過軸方向以外の方向に振動する第2偏光成分については反射する第1反射偏光子と、
前記第1反射偏光子を透過した前記第1偏光成分の光路中に配置され、当該第1偏光成分が透過する液晶素子と、
前記液晶素子を透過した前記第1偏光成分の光路中に配置され、当該第1偏光成分が自己の偏光透過軸方向に振動する場合には当該第1偏光成分を透過させ、当該第1偏光成分が自己の偏光透過軸方向以外の方向に振動する場合には当該第1偏光成分を反射する第2反射偏光子と、
前記第1反射偏光子によって反射された前記第2偏光成分を用いて基本配光パターンを形成する第1光学系と、
前記第2反射偏光子によって反射された前記第1偏光成分を用いて前記基本配光パターンに付加される第1付加配光パターンを形成する第2光学系と、
前記第2反射偏光子を透過した前記第1偏光成分を用いて前記基本配光パターンに付加される第2付加配光パターンを形成するための第3光学系と、
を備えており、
前記第2反射偏光子は、その偏光透過軸が前記第1反射偏光子の偏光透過軸に対し、ねじれの位置関係となるように配置されており、
前記液晶素子は、当該液晶素子に印加される電圧に応じて、前記第1反射偏光子から当該液晶素子に到達した前記第1偏光成分がその振動方向を維持したまま出射し、前記第2反射偏光子に到達する状態、又は、前記第1反射偏光子から当該液晶素子に到達した前記第1偏光成分の振動方向が前記第2反射偏光子の偏光透過軸方向と一致するように、当該第1偏光成分が所定角度変換されて出射し、前記第2反射偏光子に到達する状態のいずれかの状態となる液晶素子であることを特徴とする車両用灯具。 - 前記液晶素子は、VAモードの液晶素子であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の車両用灯具。
- 光源部と、
前記光源部からの照射光の光路中に配置され、前記光源部からの照射光のうち、自己の偏光透過軸方向に振動する第1偏光成分については透過させ、自己の偏光透過軸方向以外の方向に振動する第2偏光成分については反射する第1反射偏光子と、
前記第1反射偏光子を透過した前記第1偏光成分の光路中に配置され、当該第1偏光成分が透過する液晶素子と、
前記液晶素子を透過した前記第1偏光成分の光路中に配置され、当該第1偏光成分が自己の偏光透過軸方向に振動する場合には当該第1偏光成分を透過させ、当該第1偏光成分が自己の偏光透過軸方向以外の方向に振動する場合には当該第1偏光成分を反射する第2反射偏光子と、
前記第1反射偏光子によって反射された前記第2偏光成分を用いて基本配光パターンを形成する第1光学系と、
前記第2反射偏光子によって反射された前記第1偏光成分を用いて前記基本配光パターンに付加される第1付加配光パターンを形成する第2光学系と、
前記第2反射偏光子を透過した前記第1偏光成分を用いて前記基本配光パターンに付加される第2付加配光パターンを形成するための第3光学系と、
を備えており、
前記第2反射偏光子は、その偏光透過軸が前記第1反射偏光子の偏光透過軸に対し、平行となるように配置されており、
前記液晶素子は、当該液晶素子に印加される電圧に応じて、前記第1反射偏光子から当該液晶素子に到達した前記第1偏光成分がその振動方向を維持したまま出射し、前記第2反射偏光子に到達する状態、又は、前記第1反射偏光子から当該液晶素子に到達した前記第1偏光成分の振動方向が前記第2反射偏光子の偏光透過軸方向と一致しないように、当該第1偏光成分が所定角度回転して出射し、前記第2反射偏光子に到達する状態のいずれかの状態となる液晶素子であることを特徴とする車両用灯具。 - 前記液晶素子は、TNモードの液晶素子であることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の車両用灯具。
