Description
主な金属酸化物の仕事関数と融点を表1に示す。酸化イットリウムは、酸化バリウムや酸化カルシウムなどといったアルカリ土類金属酸化物に次いで仕事関数が低い、すなわち電子放射性が高い酸化物であるが、融点が約2700℃と非常に高いという性質を持つ。

Claims (2)
- 石英ガラス製発光管の内部に金属添加物と不活性ガスを封入し、前記発光管の両端にタングステンを主体とする電極を封着してなる高圧放電ランプにおいて、前記電極コイル表面に、酸化イットリウムと酸化アルミニウムとから構成される二元系複合酸化物より成り、前記二元系複合酸化物全体に占める酸化イットリウムのモル百分率が60%以上かつ90%以下に選定された電子放射性物質が、その融点温度に加熱されることで溶融され固着されることを特徴とする高圧放電ランプ。
- 前記高圧放電ランプは、前記電極芯棒に流れる単位断面積当たりの電流が1.0A/mm2以上かつ10A/mm2以下であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の高圧放電ランプ。
