Claims (10)
- エンジン(10)であって、
燃焼室(24)を画成するハウジング(12)と、
燃料を前記燃焼室に直接的または間接的に供給するための構成部材および該構成部材を作動させるための電気ソレノイド(66)を含む燃料噴射器(60)と、
エンジン潤滑油が前記燃料噴射器を伝って流れ落ちるよう、前記エンジン潤滑油を前記ハウジングから露出した前記燃料噴射器の上部(65)に吐出することが可能なエンジン潤滑油供給システム(22)と、
を備え、
前記燃料噴射器の前記上部に前記電気ソレノイドが含まれているエンジン(10)。 - 前記エンジンが動力を発生させたとき、前記エンジン潤滑油供給システムが前記エンジン潤滑油を前記燃料噴射器に連続的に吐出することが可能である請求項1に記載のエンジン。
- 前記エンジン潤滑油供給システムが、毎分50ミリリットルよりも大きい割合で前記エンジン潤滑油を燃料噴射器に吐出することが可能である請求項1に記載のエンジン。
- 前記エンジン潤滑油以外の液体で前記エンジンを冷却することが可能な冷却システム(20)をさらに含む請求項1に記載のエンジン。
- 前記燃焼室内へのまたは前記燃焼室からの流体の流れを選択的に許容するための弁(44、46)と、
前記弁を作動させることが可能な弁作動システム(48)と、
をさらに含み、
前記エンジン潤滑油供給システムが前記弁作動システムの出口(92)を含み、前記エンジン潤滑油が前記出口を通って燃料噴射器に流れるように前記出口が燃料噴射器に向けられる請求項1に記載のエンジン。 - エンジン(10)を動作させる方法であって、
燃料噴射器(60)で燃料を前記エンジンの燃焼室(24)に直接的または間接的に供給し、
前記燃焼室内で前記燃料を燃焼させることにより、
前記エンジンで動力を発生させるステップと、
前記エンジンで動力を発生させている間、前記エンジン潤滑油が前記燃料噴射器を伝って流れ落ちるよう、前記エンジン潤滑油を前記燃焼室を画成するハウジングから露出した前記燃料噴射器の上部(65)に向けることによって前記燃料噴射器を冷却するステップと、
を含み、
前記燃料噴射器の前記上部に、前記燃料を前記燃焼室に供給する構成部材を作動させるための電気ソレノイド(66)が含まれている方法。 - 前記エンジン潤滑油を前記燃料噴射器に向けるステップが、前記燃料噴射器に向けられたエンジン潤滑油供給システム(22)の出口(92)から前記エンジン潤滑油を吐出するステップを含む請求項6に記載の方法。
- 前記エンジン潤滑油を前記燃料噴射器に向けるステップが、前記エンジンの1つ以上のエンジン潤滑油供給通路と前記燃料噴射器に向けられた前記エンジン潤滑油供給通路の出口(92)とを通して前記エンジン潤滑油をポンプ供給するステップを含む請求項6に記載の方法。
- 前記エンジン潤滑油を前記燃料噴射器に向けるステップが、前記エンジンの弁作動システム(48)の1つ以上のエンジン潤滑油供給通路と前記弁作動システムの出口(94)とを通して前記エンジン潤滑油を前記燃料噴射器に向けるステップを含む請求項6に記載の方法。
- 前記燃料噴射器が、前記燃焼室の内部に配置された前記燃料の出口(64)を含む請求項6に記載の方法。
