Description
始めに、以下の組成からセラミックボディを形成した。

非イオン性界面活性剤 0.19
アニオンポリマー分散剤 1.30
アクリルバインダー 9.76
Nb2O5粉末 69.70
湿式電解コンデンサを、例1のセラミックボディから形成した。始めに、ステンレス鋼メッシュ(McMasterから入手した150×150メッシュ)を、2.2 cm×1.1 cmの矩形に切断した。カソードリード線(150μmゲージの焼なましたステンレス鋼304ワイヤー)を、2.5 cmの長さに切断した。これらの矩形及びワイヤーを、先ず超音波浴内で45°Cの石鹸水を使用して30分間洗浄し、次いで脱イオン(“DI”)水を用いて4回すすいだ。85°Cのオーブン内で30分間に亘って乾燥した後に、サンプルを外界温度のアセトン内で20分間に亘って再度脱脂した。サンプルを85°Cのオーブン内で乾燥して残留アセトンの全てを除去し、DI水で5回すすぎ、次いで85°Cのオーブン内で乾燥した。矩形メッシュの1.1 cmの辺の中央に、スポット溶接機を使用してカソードリード線を溶接した。深さは約1.0 mmであった。次いで矩形メッシュを、1.0体積%のH2SO4及び0.1体積%のHClの溶液内において1分間に亘ってエッチングし、DI水で45回脱脂し、次いでブロワーを用いて外界温度で乾燥させた。得られたメッシュ基体の厚みは、約130μmであった。

例2に記述したようにしてコンデンサを形成した。但し、カソードインク内にカーボンブラックは使用しなかった。得られたカソードローディングは、0.0107 gであった。0.1Hzにおいて測定された容量は、2.0V、5.0V、及び8.0Vのバイアスに対してそれぞれ、2.57 mF、2.42 mF、及び2.37 mFであった。ESRは1000Hzの周波数において1.98Ωであった。カソード容量は550.0 mFであると推定された。
例2に記述したようにしてコンデンサを形成した。但し、1.0 gのTorlon TF 4000を添加した。カソードローディングは、0.0113 gであった。0.1Hzにおいて測定された容量は、2.0V、5.0V、及び8.0Vのバイアスに対してそれぞれ、2.54 mF、2.41 mF、及び2.35 mFであった。ESRは1000Hzの周波数において1.35Ωであった。カソード容量は550.0 mFであると推定された。
例2に記述したようにしてコンデンサを形成した。但し、0.4 gのアセチレンカーボン(Chevron)を導電性充填材として使用した。カソードローディングは、0.0060 gであった。0.1Hzにおいて測定された容量は、2.0V、5.0V、及び8.0Vのバイアスに対してそれぞれ、2.60 mF、2.36 mF、及び2.23 mFであった。ESRは1000Hzの周波数において1.15Ωであった。カソード容量は500.0 mFであると推定された。
例5に記述したようにしてコンデンサを形成した。但し、ステンレス鋼メッシュは、SS Monel 304 120×120メッシュであった。カソードローディングは、0.0074 gであった。0.1Hzにおいて測定された容量は、2.0V、5.0V、及び8.0Vのバイアスに対してそれぞれ、2.64 mF、2.46 mF、及び2.39 mFであった。ESRは1000Hzの周波数において1.24Ωであった。カソード容量は403.4 mFであると推定された。
例6に記述したようにしてコンデンサを形成した。但し、ステンレス鋼メッシュは、SS Monel 316 150×150メッシュであった。0.1Hzにおいて測定された容量は、2.0V、5.0V、及び8.0Vのバイアスに対してそれぞれ、2.69 mF、2.47 mF、及び2.37 mFであった。ESRは1000Hzの周波数において1.24Ωであった。カソード容量は384.9 mFであると推定された。
例5に記述したようにしてコンデンサを形成した。但し、カソード基体は110 PPI(Inco)のニッケルフォームであった。カソードローディングは、0.013 gであった。0.1Hzにおいて測定された容量は、2.0V、5.0V、及び8.0Vのバイアスに対してそれぞれ、2.66 mF、2.37 mF、及び2.28 mFであった。ESRは1000Hzの周波数において1.13Ωであった。カソード容量は1250 mFであると推定された。
例7に記述したようにしてコンデンサを形成した。但し、0.4 gのBP2000カーボンブラックを導電性充填材として使用した。カソードローディングは、0.074 gであった。0.1Hzにおいて測定された容量は、2.0V、5.0V、及び8.0Vのバイアスに対してそれぞれ、2.54 mF、2.38 mF、及び2.32 mFであった。ESRは1000Hzの周波数において1.16Ωであった。カソード容量は372.3 mFであると推定された。
10片のNbOアノード、11片のカソード、及び20片のセパレータ紙を例2に記述したようにして準備し、カソード、セパレータ、及びアノードの順序にスタックした。各矩形アノードの長さは11.0 mm、幅は11.0 mm、そして厚みは0.7 mmであった。アノードのサイズに一致させるために、カソードも11.0 mm平方に切断した。例2と同一のサイズのセパレータ紙は単にU字形に折り曲げ、アノードの片を包み込んだ。アノードリード線及びカソードリード線は、スタックから反対方向に引き出した。スタック全体をScotchテープで包んだ。アノードのタンタルリード線及びカソードのステンレス鋼リード線は全て6.0 mmの長さに切り揃えた。アノードリード線は直径0.2 mmの1本のヘビーゲージのステンレス鋼ワイヤーに溶接し、カソードリード線は別のワイヤーに溶接した。スタックの厚みは10.0 mmであった。アノード・セパレータ・カソードアセンブリは、例2において使用した水性電解質内で30分間に亘って真空含浸させた。0.1Hzにおいて測定された容量は、2.0V、5.0V、及び8.0Vのバイアスに対してそれぞれ、14.53 mF、12.84 mF、及び12.34 mFであった。1000Hzの周波数におけるESRは0.22Ωであった。
アノード及びカソードを例2に記述したようにして準備したが、寸法は若干変更されている。即ち、アノード及びカソード基体は、1.0 cm平方に切断した。例2と同一のサイズのセパレータ紙をU字形に折り曲げ、アノードを包み込んだ。図2に示すように、2つのNbOアノードを、3つのカソードと共に水平にスタックした。アノードのタンタルリード線及びカソードのステンレス鋼リード線は6.0 mmの長さに切り揃えた。レーザー溶接機を使用し、アルゴン雰囲気保護の下で、アノードタンタルリード線は直径0.2 mmのヘビーゲージのタンタルワイヤーに溶接し、カソードステンレス鋼リード線はヘビーゲージのステンレス鋼ワイヤーに溶接した。両ヘビーゲージワイヤーは、スポット溶接機を使用してニオブロッドに溶接した。次いで、ニッケルリード線をこれらのニオブロッドに溶接した。次に、このアセンブリをScotchテープで包んで圧縮を高め、ケース内に挿入する前に作用電解質(以下の表2に記載)内で30分間に亘って真空含浸させた。
アノード及びカソードを例2に記述したようにして準備した。アノードは、5.16 mm×3.88 mm×0.58 mmの矩形にスライスした。これらのアノードの形成に、2つの異なる形成用電解質を使用した。電解質は、1.0重量%のH3PO4(リン酸)と、0.5重量%のH3PO4+0.5重量%のH5PO4(ポリリン酸)の混合体であった。これらのアノードを、先ず24V、85°Cで120分に亘ってアノード酸化処理した。若干のアノードは、後に真空焼なまし及び/または表1に示すような第2の調剤を通過させた。容量は、ガルバノスタティック充電/放電法を使用し、例11に記載した電解質B内の大きいTaスラグカソードに対するこれらのアノードの直流セル容量を測定することによって決定した。漏洩電流は、1.0重量%のH3PO4内で測定した。2.0Vのバイアスにおける直流容量、及び16Vの定格電圧を印加してから2時間後に測定した漏洩電流を使用して、85°Cにおける正規化された漏洩電流を計算した。その結果を、以下の表4に示す。

Claims (11)
- 湿式電解コンデンサであって、
アノードであって、タンタル、ニオブ、またはそれらの導電性酸化物を含むアノードと、
電流コレクタの表面上に配置されているコーティングを含むカソードと、
を含み、
上記コーティングは上記電流コレクタの全表面をカバーし、上記コーティングは複数の電気化学的活性粒子及びバインダーを含み、上記バインダーは100°Cまたはそれより高いガラス転移温度を有する非晶質ポリマーから形成され、上記非晶質ポリマーは、熱可塑性ポリイミドであり、上記バインダーは、150マイクロメートルまたはそれより小さいD90粒子サイズ分布を有する粒子の形状を有し、
上記カソードと上記アノードとの間に配置されている作用電解質であって、酸を含む水溶液を含む作用電解質を更に含む、
ことを特徴とする湿式電解コンデンサ。 - 上記非晶質ポリマーは、150°Cまたはそれより高いガラス転移温度を有していることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の湿式電解コンデンサ。
- 上記ポリイミドは、ポリ(アミド-イミド)、ポリ(エーテル-イミド)、またはそれらの組合せであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の湿式電解コンデンサ。
- 上記ポリイミドは、トリメリト酸またはその誘導体、及び芳香族ジアミンから形成されたポリ(アミド-イミド)であることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の湿式電解コンデンサ。
- 上記バインダーは、75マイクロメートルまたはそれより小さいD90粒子サイズ分布を有する粒子の形状を有することを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の湿式電解コンデンサ。
- 上記電気化学的活性粒子は、金属、金属酸化物、炭素質粒子、またはそれらの組合せであることを特徴とする請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の湿式電解コンデンサ。
- 上記電気化学的活性粒子は、活性炭素を含むことを特徴とする請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載の湿式電解コンデンサ。
- 上記コーティングは、導電性充填材を更に含むことを特徴とする請求項1〜7のいずれか1項に記載の湿式電解コンデンサ。
- 上記アノードは、タンタルまたはニオブの導電性酸化物を含むことを特徴とする請求項1〜8のいずれか1項に記載の湿式電解コンデンサ。
- 上記アノードは、該アノードのアノード酸化処理により該アノードの上及び内部に形成される誘電体フィルムを含むことを特徴とする請求項1〜9のいずれか1項に記載の湿式電解コンデンサ。
- 上記アノードはニオブの導電性酸化物を含み、上記誘電体フィルムは五酸化ニオブを含むことを特徴とする請求項10に記載の湿式電解コンデンサ。
