Claims (3)
- 電解質膜の両側に第1電極と該第1電極よりも小さな表面積を有する第2電極とを配設した矩形状の電解質膜・電極構造体を備え、前記電解質膜・電極構造体とセパレータとが積層される固体高分子型燃料電池であって、
前記セパレータは、互いに対向する一方の2辺に沿ってそれぞれ複数の反応ガス連通孔が積層方向に貫通して設けられるとともに、
前記第2電極を構成するガス拡散層には、前記2辺のいずれか1辺に対応する辺に、複数の前記反応ガス連通孔の間に位置して少なくとも1つの切り欠き部が設けられることを特徴とする固体高分子型燃料電池。 - 請求項1記載の固体高分子型燃料電池において、前記電解質膜・電極構造体は、前記2辺に対応する2辺に、それぞれ複数の前記反応ガス連通孔側に突出する複数の突出部が設けられるとともに、
前記切り欠き部は、複数の前記突出部の間に設けられることを特徴とする固体高分子型燃料電池。 - 請求項1又は2記載の固体高分子型燃料電池において、前記切り欠き部は、半円形状を有することを特徴とする固体高分子型燃料電池。
