Claims (12)
- ネットワークを介して無線通信する遠隔ユニットの地理的位置を決定する方法であって、
前記遠隔ユニットは、基地局を介して、前記ネットワークに接続することができ、
前記基地局は、前記遠隔ユニットに無線通信機能をサービス提供できる地理的範囲であるセクタを備え、
前記方法は、
ネットワークベースの測定値を含む第一の位置データセットを用いて、前記遠隔ユニットの第一の位置決め解を決定することと、
衛星ベースの測定値を含む第二の位置データセットを用いて、前記遠隔ユニットの第二の位置決め解を決定することと、
前記第一の位置決め解か、前記第二の位置決め解か、前記第一の位置決め解の測定値と前記第二の位置決め解の測定値とが結合された混成解かを、前記ネットワークベースの測定値および前記衛星ベースの測定値の良度示数の評価に基づいて選択することと
を含み、前記ネットワークベースの測定値は、往復遅延測定値と、到着角度測定値と、到着時間差測定値とのうちの少なくともいずれかを含み、
前記往復遅延測定値は、前記ネットワークから前記遠隔ユニットへ送信された信号が、前記遠隔ユニットから前記ネットワークへ戻るまでに要する時間である往復遅延を示し、
前記到着角度測定値は、前記遠隔ユニットが存在するセクタにユニークな信号を識別することによって決定される、前記基地局から前記遠隔ユニットへ送信された信号の到着角度を示し、
前記到着時間差測定値は、前記ネットワーク内の複数の異なる送信機から前記遠隔ユニットへと送信された各信号の到着時間の差を示す、方法。 - 前記選択することは、前記第二の位置決め解が、予め定めた値を超える推定誤差を有する場合には、前記混成解を選択し、そうでない場合には、前記第二の位置決め解を選択することを含み、
前記推定誤差は、前記遠隔ユニットの予め決定された位置決め解が、少なくとも二つの種類の位置決め測定解を用いて決定された結果に基づいて判定される
請求項1に記載の方法。 - 請求項1に記載の方法において、
前記良度示数は、水平推定位置誤差を含む方法。 - 請求項1に記載の方法において、
前記良度示数は、幾何学希釈誤差を含む方法。 - 請求項1に記載の方法において、
前記良度示数は、位置希釈誤差を含む方法。 - 請求項1に記載の方法において、
前記良度示数は、水平希釈誤差を含む方法。 - 請求項1に記載の方法において、
前記良度示数は、重み付けられた幾何学的希釈誤差を含む方法。 - 請求項1に記載の方法において、
前記良度示数は、解のユニットフォールト誤差を含む方法。 - 請求項1に記載の方法において、
前記良度示数は、測定値剰余大きさを含む方法。 - 請求項1に記載の方法において、
前記良度示数の評価は、前記第一の位置決め解か、前記第二の位置決め解かを選択する際に、前記第一の位置決め解の誤差判定基準が、前記第二の位置決め解が選択される閾値よりも厳しい場合には、前記第一の位置決め解が選択され、厳しくない場合には、前記第二の位置決め解が選択される、方法。 - 請求項1に記載の方法において、
前記第二の位置決め解は、グローバル・ポジショニング・システム解である方法。 - 請求項1に記載の方法において、
前記遠隔ユニットは移動局である方法。
