の関係を充足し、軸方向両側面に凹面を有し、この凹面の最深部間の軸方向肉厚Cは、
0.5A<C<A
とし、前記摺動部の反対側の背面の軸方向中間部に凹面を有し、前記凹面の曲率半径を前記摺動部の曲率半径Rより大きくしたことを特徴とするものである。また、上記構成において一層好ましくは、摺動部の軸方向中間部に、背面側の凹面よりも浅い凹面を形成したものとする。

すなわち、Gcの値は、接触部であるDリング先端の曲率半径Rの増加と共に減少している。

であり、摩擦係数fcが低下しても、緊迫力Prの増大によって摩擦力Fcの低下が抑えられてしまう。
0.5A<C<A ・・・(5)
とすることが好適である。すなわち上記(5)式において、0.5A<Cと規定したのは、軸方向両側面の凹面によってその最深部間の軸方向肉厚が0.5A以下になると、肉厚が最も小さい径方向中間部分で、径方向に対する剛性が低くなり過ぎて、座屈を起こしやすくなるからである。また、軸方向両側面に凹面を形成した場合は、当然C<Aとなる。

Claims (2)
- 相対に移動する二部材のうちの一方の部材に保持されると共に他方の部材に摺動自在に密接され、前記他方の部材との摺動部(21a)が断面円弧形の凸面をなす往復動用密封リング(21)において、
前記摺動部(21a)の曲率半径をR、当該密封リング(21)の軸方向幅をAとして、次式

の関係を充足し、軸方向両側面に凹面(21c,21d)を有し、この凹面(21c,21d)の最深部間の軸方向肉厚Cは、
0.5A<C<A
とし、前記摺動部(21a)の反対側の背面(21b)の軸方向中間部に凹面(21e)を有する形状とし、前記凹面(21c,21d)の曲率半径を前記摺動部(21a)の曲率半径Rより大きくしたことを特徴とする往復動用密封リング。 - 摺動部(21a)の軸方向中間部に、背面(21b)側の凹面(21e)よりも浅い凹面(21h)を形成したことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の往復動用密封リング。
