膨張時に前記しわの寄った部分が患者の気管壁に対してしわの寄ったバンドを形成するように、前記しわの寄った部分の最大直径は、気管の直径よりも大きく、前記しわの寄ったバンドは、前記しわのない密閉バンドよりも長く、
前記しわのない密閉バンドは、前記しわの寄った部分の少なくとも一部のバルーン壁の厚みよりも大きなバルーン壁の厚みを有する、方法。 - 膨張性バルーンカフであって、
前記バルーンカフの壁内に近位開口および遠位開口と、
前記膨張したバルーンカフの前記近位開口と前記遠位開口とを接続する虚軸に沿う第1のテーパ部分と、
前記近位開口と前記遠位開口とを接続する前記虚軸に沿う第2のテーパ部分であって、前記第2のテーパ部分は、前記第1のテーパ部分に対して前記カフ上に遠位に配置され、前記第1のテーパ部分と第2のテーパ部分とは、互いに逆を向いており、前記第1のテーパ部分または第2のテーパ部分の少なくとも一部は、膨張時に患者の気管壁に対して少なくとも1ミリメートルの長さのしわのないバンドを形成するように適合されており、前記第1のテーパ部分および第2のテーパ部分の最大直径は気管の直径よりも大きい、第2のテーパ部分と、
しわの寄った部分であって、膨張時に前記しわの寄った部分が患者の気管壁に対してしわの寄ったバンドを形成するように、前記しわの寄った部分の最大直径は、気管の直径よりも大きく、前記しわの寄ったバンドは、前記しわのないバンドよりも長い、しわの寄った部分と
を含み、前記しわのない密閉バンドは、前記しわの寄った部分の少なくとも一部のバルーン壁の厚みよりも大きなバルーン壁の厚みを有する
、膨張性バルーンカフ。 - 前記テーパ部分は、少なくとも1つのテーパ部分の前記長さに沿って実質的に一定のテーパ比を含む、請求項28に記載のバルーンカフ。
- 前記バルーンカフは、ポリエチレンテレフタレート(PETP)、低密度ポリエチレン(LDPE)、ポリ塩化ビニル(PVC)、シリコーン、ネオプレン、ポリイソプレン、またはポリウレタン(PU)を含む、請求項28に記載のバルーンカフ。
- 前記バルーンカフに連結される気管チューブを含み、前記気管チューブは、前記バルーンカフの壁内の前記近位開口および遠位開口を通過する、請求項28に記載のバルーンカフ。

- 前記少なくとも1つのテーパ部分は、前記テーパ部分の前記長さの少なくとも一部に沿って、実質的に非線形のテーパ比を含む、請求項28に記載のバルーンカフ。
- 前記第1のテーパ部分の最大直径部分は、前記第2のテーパ部分の最大直径部分に近似する、請求項28に記載のバルーンカフ。
- 前記第1のテーパ部分の最小直径部分は、前記第2のテーパ部分の最小直径部分に近似する、請求項28に記載のバルーンカフ。
