Description
幾つかの態様を有する本発明は、光成形ディヒューザ(拡散器)分野に関し、また、シームレスマスタ及びディヒューザフィルムのシーム複製(seam replication)とともに、その同様のもの、すなわち、区切り点又はマークのない連続した光成形被覆を作製する方法に関する。
ディヒューザマスタは、それを通じて伝送される光に望ましく光学的に作用し得る膨大な種類の光成形ディヒューザを作製するのに用いられる。
我々は、ディヒューザ及びそれらに関連したディヒューザ−マスタの縁部境界である「干渉」パターンと関係する種々の問題を、簡単に言えばシームレスマスタ及びそれを作製する方法である本発明を用いて解決した。我々の発明は、簡単に要約すると、3つの態様を有している。
以下、本発明の実施の形態について、添付図面を参照しながら説明する。
必要な場合、ピンホールフィルタ上に置かれた適切な対物レンズ(標準的には20X〜60X)をセットする。適切なテーブル上で、中間マスタディヒューザホルダを所定位置に置く。ここでは、中間マスタディヒューザをしっかりと固定する。好適な散乱角によって、適切な中間マスタをホルダ上に置く。最終マスタ及びそれに関連するマスタを所定位置に置く。ここでは、ホルダをしっかりと固定する(例えば接着剤で接合する)。テーブルに示されるように、大きな比率の楕円形のディヒューザマスタに関してセットアップする場合には、3〜9インチ(約76.2〜228.6ミリメートル)の広さで、「ソフトな」エッジのフォーカスをなすように、対物レンズに続き、円筒レンズをセットする。中間マスタの中央に対してスリットビームを指向させる。それた光が最終マスタ上に位置するのを防止するために、全ての遮蔽部材を配置する。最後に、約30μミリワットを読み出すべく、最終マスタへの干渉光を調整する。
Claims (9)
- 1ピースの中空の円筒形の反転可能なエラストマー系マスタを作製する方法であって、(1)長手軸を規定しそのまわりに回転可能な細長い円筒部材の外周面に対して、液体の硬化可能な感光媒体を塗布し、そして、実質的に均一な径方向の寸法の硬化可能な感光媒体のシームレス層を、実質的にその長さ及び外周面に沿って形成するために、上記長手軸まわりに円筒部材を回転させ、
(2)上記細長い円筒部材上における感光媒体の層を硬化させ、
(3)上記感光媒体の層を露光させ、露光済みの感光媒体の層において、実質的に円筒部材上における感光媒体の層の長さ及び外周面に沿って、不規則に、所定のスペックルパターンを生成するために、それに分け与えられる所定のスペックルを有する干渉光の光源へ、実質的にその長さ及び外周面に沿って、硬化した感光媒体の層をさらし、そして、その長手軸まわりに円筒部材を回転させ、上記露光済みの感光媒体の層は引き続き現像することが可能であり、
(4)感光媒体の層の不規則に露光した領域を、感光媒体の層における物理的な微細構造として定着させるために、上記露光済みの感光媒体の層を現像し、
(5)上記現像済みの感光媒体の層に記録されたスペックルパターンと密に接する所定の径方向の寸法の細長い中空の円筒形のエラストマー系部材を作製するために、上記現像済みの感光媒体の層の長さ及び外周面に沿って、硬化可能なエラストマー系液体を塗布し、そして、該エラストマー系液体を硬化させ、それにより、エラストマー系部材において、エラストマー系部材がスペックルパターンと密に接するシームレスの光成形ディヒューザを作製し、上記中空の円筒形のエラストマー系部材は反転可能であり、
(6)それに記録されたスペックルパターンを有する上記現像済みの感光媒体の層から、反転可能な中空の円筒形のエラストマー系部材を分離させ、上記反転可能な中空の円筒形のエラストマー系部材は、実質的にその長さ及び内周面に沿って、シームレスの光成形ディヒューザの面を有し、
(7)実質的にその長さ及び外周面に沿って、シームレスの光成形ディヒューザの面をもたらすために、中空の円筒形のエラストマー系部材を反転させ、それにより、中空の円筒形のエラストマー系マスタを作製する、ステップを有していることを特徴とする方法。 - 上記円筒部材に塗布された感光媒体の層は、1ミクロン〜100ミクロンの径方向の厚さを有していることを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 上記円筒部材に塗布された感光媒体の層は、35ミクロンの径方向の厚さを有していることを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 上記感光媒体の硬化が、40分〜2時間の間、高温にて、上記媒体を焼成することにより実行されることを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 上記感光媒体の硬化が、1時間〜2時間の間、摂氏90度にて、上記媒体を焼成することにより実行されることを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 上記感光媒体の硬化が、1時間の間、摂氏65度にて、上記媒体を焼成することにより実行されることを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。

上記円筒の外周面と内周面を入れ替えるように反転可能であり、
上記円筒の一方の面にスペックルパターンが記録されているシームレスの光成形ディヒューザの面を有する、エラストマー系マスタ。
