Description
幾つかの態様を有する本発明は、光成形ディヒューザ(拡散器)分野に関し、また、シームレスマスタ及びディヒューザフィルムのシーム複製(seam replication)とともに、その同様のもの、すなわち、区切り点又はマークのない連続した光成形被覆を作製する方法に関する。
ディヒューザマスタは、それを通じて伝送される光に望ましく光学的に作用し得る膨大な種類の光成形ディヒューザを作製するのに用いられる。
我々は、ディヒューザ及びそれらに関連したディヒューザ−マスタの縁部境界である「干渉」パターンと関係する種々の問題を、簡単に言えばシームレスマスタ及びそれを作製する方法である本発明を用いて解決した。我々の発明は、簡単に要約すると、3つの態様を有している。
以下、本発明の実施の形態について、添付図面を参照しながら説明する。
必要な場合、ピンホールフィルタ上に置かれた適切な対物レンズ(標準的には20X〜60X)をセットする。適切なテーブル上で、中間マスタディヒューザホルダを所定位置に置く。ここでは、中間マスタディヒューザをしっかりと固定する。好適な散乱角によって、適切な中間マスタをホルダ上に置く。最終マスタ及びそれに関連するマスタを所定位置に置く。ここでは、ホルダをしっかりと固定する(例えば接着剤で接合する)。テーブルに示されるように、大きな比率の楕円形のディヒューザマスタに関してセットアップする場合には、3〜9インチ(約76.2〜228.6ミリメートル)の広さで、「ソフトな」エッジのフォーカスをなすように、対物レンズに続き、円筒レンズをセットする。中間マスタの中央に対してスリットビームを指向させる。それた光が最終マスタ上に位置するのを防止するために、全ての遮蔽部材を配置する。最後に、約30μミリワットを読む出すべく、最終マスタへの干渉光を調整する。
Claims (7)
- 感光媒体に露光が可変のディヒューザの記録をもたらすための装置であって、
ベースと、
上記ベースから隔てられた干渉光の光源と、
上記ベース上に設置され、該ベースから隔てられた回転軸を規定する細長い機構と、
上記機構上に回転可能に設けられた円筒部材と、
上記円筒部材の外周面上における感光媒体の層と、
上記干渉光の断面領域に作用するための、上記ベースから隔てられ、また、上記干渉光の光源及び上記円筒部材の間に位置決めされた光学的な対物デバイスと、
所定のスペックルパターンを、干渉光の上記作用を受けた断面領域へ拡散し分け与えるための、上記ベースに支持され、上記光学的な対物デバイス及び上記円筒部材の間に位置決めされた、光学的に透過性をもつディヒューザと、
上記ベースに支持され、上記光学的に透過性を持つディヒューザ及び上記円筒部材の間に位置決めされた、所定の寸法の開口を規定する遮蔽部材と、を有しており、
第1の長さが、上記光学的な対物デバイスと上記光学的に透過性を持つディヒューザとの間で干渉光が走る間隔として規定され、
第2の長さが、上記光学的に透過性を持つディヒューザと上記円筒部材の外周面上における感光媒体の層との間で干渉光が走る間隔として規定され、
第3の長さが、上記円筒部材上における感光媒体の層と上記遮蔽部材との間で干渉光が走る間隔として規定されており、
上記第1,第2及び第3の長さのいずれか1つが、上記感光媒体における可変の露光をもたらすために、他の長さのいずれかに対して変更されうることを特徴とする装置。 - 上記光学的な対物デバイスが、干渉光の断面領域に対して、拡大構成,円筒式に細長い構成,楕円式に細長い構成、及び、その組合せの少なくとも1つをもたらすべく、それぞれ、拡大レンズ,球面レンズ,円筒レンズ,楕円レンズおよびその組合せの少なくとも1つを有することを特徴とする請求項1記載の装置。
- 上記光学的に透過性をもつディヒューザが、ホログラフィックディヒューザであることを特徴とする請求項1記載の装置。
- 上記遮蔽部材が、ほぼ平面構造を有するもので、干渉光の経路にほぼ直交するように方向付けられ、また、その開口は、ほぼ矩形状であり、約3インチ〜約10インチ(約76.2〜254ミリメートル)の範囲にある幅と、約4インチ(約101.6ミリメートル)の高さとを有していることを特徴とする請求項1記載の装置。
- 感光媒体における露光が可変のディヒューザの記録をもたらすためのプロセスであって、
長手軸を規定し該長手軸まわりに回転可能である細長い円筒部材であって、外周面上に感光媒体の層を有する円筒部材を設け、
上記感光媒体に向かって干渉光の光源により生成される干渉光ビームを指向させ、
上記干渉光ビームと上記感光媒体との間に、上記干渉光の断面領域に作用するための光学的な対物デバイスを介在させ、
上記光学的な対物デバイスと上記感光媒体との間に、所定のスペックルパターンを干渉光の上記作用を受けた断面領域へ拡散し分け与えるための、光学的に光透過性をもつディヒューザを介在させ、
上記光学的に光透過性をもつディヒューザと上記感光媒体との間に干渉光ビームにおける所定の寸法の開口を規定する遮蔽部材を介在させ、

感光媒体の一部を露光させるべく、該感光媒体の層の一部を所定時間だけ干渉光ビームにさらし、
上記円筒部材上の感光媒体の周囲のバンドを露光させるために、干渉光ビームのなかで上記所定の角度だけ該円筒部材を回転させ続け、
上記光源及び円筒部材のうちの一方を他方に対して横方向に所定の間隔だけ移動させ、
感光媒体の層の外周面が完全に露光されるまで、上記ステップを繰り返す、ステップを有していることを特徴とする請求項5記載のプロセス。 - 上記光学的な対物デバイスが、干渉光の断面領域に対して、拡大構成,円筒式に細長い構成,楕円式に細長い構成、及び、その組合せの少なくとも1つをもたらすべく、それぞれ、拡大レンズ,球面レンズ,円筒レンズ,楕円レンズおよびその組合せの少なくとも1つを有しており、
更に、感光媒体における可変のディヒューザの記録をもたらすために、上記移動ステップを完了させた後、感光媒体を完全に露光する前に、上記光学的な対物デバイスの構成を変更するステップを有していることを特徴とする請求項6記載のプロセス。
