Claims (1)
- 液晶パネルと前記液晶パネルを駆動する液晶ドライバとを有する液晶表示装置に用いるバックライト装置であって、入射面と、前記液晶パネルの背面に対向する出射面と、を有する導光板と、前記入射面に向けて配置された複数の発光ダイオードと、前記導光板を介して前記液晶パネルを照明する光を前記複数の発光ダイオードに発光させる電流を、前記複数の発光ダイオードに供給する電流供給部とを有し、
前記電流供給部は、前記導光板の入射面に向けて配置された複数の発光ダイオードにおいて、前記液晶パネルの駆動電圧を制御する液晶ドライバに近い位置でかつ周囲温度がより高い領域に配置された発光ダイオードに、他の発光ダイオードより低い電流を供給するように構成し、
かつ低い電流が供給される発光ダイオードは、高い配置密度で他の発光ダイオードに隣接して配置し、
さらに前記電流供給部は、前記液晶ドライバに入力される映像信号に基づき前記複数の発光ダイオードに供給する電流を調整するように構成したことを特徴とするバックライト装置。
