Description
ILoop*R1=IS*R3 式1
IS=ILoop*(R1/R3) 式2
従って、電流ISはR1とR3とによって確立される比率に基づいてループ電流に比例する。R1とR3との例となる値としては、それぞれ1オームと5000オームとである。このような構成では、ISはループ電流を5000で割ったものに等しくなる。

ここで、式4を式5に代入することで、
Vout=ILoop*(R1/Rb)*(Rf+Rb)+ILoop*Rf 式6
IS=(Vout-Vref)/R3 式7
Vreg=(IS+I5)*R4+Vref 式8
上記式6は、オペアンプ160の出力(Vout)が直接、アダプタを流れる電流ILoopに比例することを示している。ILoopが増加すると、式7に示される関係のように増加するVoutによって、ISが増加する。ISが増加すると、Vrefが定数であるためR5を流れる電流が一定であるので、R4を流れる電流は減少しないといけない。R4を流れる電流が減少すると、R4の両端の電圧が減少し、従ってVregが減少する。このように各式によって、ループ電流が増加するとアダプタループ端子間の電圧(Vreg)が減少することが説明される。
Claims (16)
- 産業プロセス制御システム内にあり2線式プロセス制御ループに接続されるプロセスフィールド機器に接続され、該プロセスフィールド機器の無線通信を可能とするよう構成された、前記2線式プロセス制御ループ内にて用いられる無線アダプタであって、
無線通信回路と、
前記2線式プロセス制御ループと直列に接続されるよう構成された第一及び第二のループ端子と、
前記第一のループ端子に接続されるレギュレータ入力部と、レギュレータ出力部と、を有するレギュレータと、
前記レギュレータ出力部に接続され、前記無線通信回路に電力供給するよう構成されたシャント回路と、
前記レギュレータから前記シャント回路へと流れる電流を、前記2線式プロセス制御ループを流れるループ電流の関数として制御するよう構成されたフィードバック回路とを備え、
前記フィードバック回路が、前記シャント回路を前記レギュレータに接続するのに用いられるトランジスタを含むことを特徴とする無線アダプタ。 - 前記シャント回路が電圧レギュレータを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の無線アダプタ。
- 前記電圧レギュレータがDC/DCコンバータを備えることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の無線アダプタ。
- 前記シャント回路が前記2線式プロセス制御ループから電荷を受信して前記無線通信回路に電力供給するよう構成されたキャパシタを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の無線アダプタ。
- 前記フィードバック回路が前記第一及び前記第二のループ端子の間の電圧降下を制御するよう構成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の無線アダプタ。
- 前記フィードバック回路が、前記一及び前記第二のループ端子の間の電圧降下を制御するのに用いられる入力部を含むことを特徴とする請求項5に記載の無線アダプタ。
- 前記フィードバック回路が前記トランジスタの動作を制御して、前記第一及び前記第二のループ端子の間の電圧降下を制御することを特徴とする請求項1ないし6のいずれかに記載の無線アダプタ。
- 前記フィードバック回路は、前記電圧降下を制御するに際して、前記レギュレータの動作範囲よりも低い値に前記ループ端子の間の電圧が降下することがないように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の無線アダプタ。
- 前記フィードバック回路が前記2線式プロセス制御ループより前記レギュレータを通って流れる電流を測定することを特徴とする請求項1ないし8のいずれかに記載の無線アダプタ。
- 前記フィードバック回路が、前記測定した電流の関数として前記シャント回路へ伝達する電力を制御することを特徴とする請求項9に記載の無線アダプタ。
- 前記入力部がマイクロコントローラに接続されることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の無線アダプタ。
- 前記第一及び前記第二のループ端子のうち一方が前記プロセスフィールド機器に接続され、さらに、前記プロセスフィールド機器に接続され、該プロセスフィールド機器と通信するのに用いられる通信端子を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の無線アダプタ。
- 前記2線式プロセス制御ループが4-20mA電流ループを備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の無線アダプタ。
- 前記フィードバック回路が、前記第一及び前記第二のループ端子の間の電圧降下が可変である第一の動作モードと、前記第一及び前記第二のループ端子の間の電圧降下が固定である第二の動作モードと、を切替可能であることを特徴とする請求項1ないし13のいずれかに記載の無線アダプタ。
- 前記フィードバック回路がスイッチを含み、当該スイッチによって前記切替可能であることを特徴とする請求項14に記載の無線アダプタ。
- 前記レギュレータがDC/DCレギュレータを備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の無線アダプタ。
