Description
本発明は、多層被覆薄片状基材に基づく強力着色干渉顔料に関する。
光沢または効果顔料が、多くの産業分野、特に、自動車塗料、装飾被覆、プラスチック、表面被覆、印刷インクおよび化粧製剤の分野で用いられている。
本発明の目的は、その有利な適用特性が優れており、同時に簡単な方法で調製することができる、高い着色強度および高い隠蔽力を有する金色およびオレンジ−赤色の干渉顔料を提供することである。
(A)TiO2とFe2O3との比率1:0.1〜1:5の混合物からなり、任意に一種または二種以上の金属酸化物を層(A)を基準に20重量%以下含んでなる高屈折率被覆、
(B)屈折率nが1.8以下である無色被覆、
(C)屈折率nが1.8を超える無色被覆、
(D)屈折率nが1.8を超える吸収性被覆、
および任意に
(E)外側保護層
を含む少なくとも一つの層配列を含んでなる多層被覆薄片状基材に基づく強力着色干渉顔料に関する。

本発明の顔料は、微粉砕された薄片状基材の上に、正確に定められた厚さおよび平滑な表面を有する複数の高および低屈折率干渉層を形成することにより容易に調製することができる。
以下の実施例により本発明をより詳細に説明するが、本発明を制限するものではない。
粒径10〜60μmの雲母100gを、脱塩水2L中で75℃に加熱する。この温度に達すると、脱塩水84.3g中にFeCl3×6H2O 130.5g、TiCl4 46.5gおよびAlCl3×6H2O 11.6gを含む溶液を、激しい撹拌下にゆっくり計量添加する。32%水酸化ナトリウム溶液を用いてpHを2.6の一定値に維持する。この溶液の添加後、混合物をさらに約15分間攪拌する。続いて、32%水酸化ナトリウム溶液を用いてpHを7.5まで上げ、ナトリウム水ガラス溶液(SiO213.5%)431gをこのpHでゆっくりと計量添加する。次に、10%塩酸を用いてpHを2.0に下げ、混合物をさらに15分間撹拌し、TiCl4溶液393g(370gのTiCl4/L)を計量添加する。この添加中、32%水酸化ナトリウム溶液を用いてpHを一定値に維持する。続いて、32%水酸化ナトリウム溶液を用いてpHを2.6まで上げ、FeCl3×6H2O 34gおよび脱塩水49gからなる溶液をゆっくりと計量添加する。32%水酸化ナトリウム溶液を用いてpHを2.6の一定値に維持する。この溶液の添加後、混合物をさらに約15分間攪拌する。続いて、32%水酸化ナトリウム溶液を用いてpHを5.0まで上げ、混合物をさらに15分間攪拌する。
粒径10〜60μmの雲母100gを、脱塩水2L中で75℃に加熱する。この温度に達すると、脱塩水77.0g中にFeCl3×6H2O 121.5g、TiCl4 43.3gおよびAlCl3×6H2O 10.6gを含む溶液を、激しい撹拌下にゆっくり計量添加する。32%水酸化ナトリウム溶液を用いてpHを2.6の一定値に維持する。この溶液の添加後、混合物をさらに約15分間攪拌する。続いて、32%水酸化ナトリウム溶液を用いてpHを7.5まで上げ、ナトリウム水ガラス溶液(SiO213.5%)394gをこのpHでゆっくりと計量添加する。次に、10%塩酸でpHを2.0に下げる。混合物をさらに15分間撹拌し、次にTiCl4溶液314g(370gのTiCl4/L)を計量添加する。この添加中、32%水酸化ナトリウム溶液を用いてpHを一定値に維持する。続いて、32%水酸化ナトリウム溶液によりpHを2.6まで上げ、脱塩水31.4g中にFeCl3×6H2O約48.6g、TiCl4 18.6gおよびAlCl3×6H2O 4.0gを含む溶液をゆっくりと計量添加する。32%水酸化ナトリウム溶液によりpHを2.6の一定値に維持する。この溶液の添加後、混合物をさらに約15分間攪拌する。続いて、32%水酸化ナトリウム溶液によりpHを5.0まで上げ、混合物をさらに15分間攪拌する。顔料を濾過除去し、脱塩水15Lで洗い、110℃で16時間乾燥する。
粒径10〜60μmの雲母100gを、脱塩水2L中で75℃に加熱する。この温度に達すると、脱塩水77.0g中にFeCl3×6H2O 121.5g、TiCl4 43.3gおよびAlCl3×6H2O 10.6gを含む溶液を、激しい撹拌下にゆっくり計量添加する。32%水酸化ナトリウム溶液を用いてpHを2.6の一定値に維持する。この溶液の添加後、混合物をさらに約15分間攪拌する。続いて、32%水酸化ナトリウム溶液を用いてpHを7.5まで上げ、ナトリウム水ガラス溶液(SiO213.5%)394gをこのpHでゆっくりと計量添加する。次に、10%塩酸でpHを2.0に下げ、混合物をさらに15分間撹拌し、TiCl4溶液235g(370gのTiCl4/L)をゆっくり計量添加する。この添加中、32%水酸化ナトリウム溶液を用いてpHを一定値に維持する。続いて、pH2.0でナトリウム水ガラス溶液(SiO213.5%)22gをゆっくり計量添加し、混合物をさらに15分間攪拌する。続いて、32%水酸化ナトリウム溶液を用いてpHを2.6まで上げ、混合物をさらに15分間攪拌し、脱塩水42.1g中にFeCl3×6H2O約65.3g、TiCl4 23.3gおよびAlCl3×6H2O 5.8gを含む溶液をゆっくりと計量添加する。32%水酸化ナトリウム溶液を用いてpHを2.6の一定値に維持する。この溶液の添加後、混合物をさらに約15分間攪拌する。続いて、32%水酸化ナトリウム溶液を用いてpHを5.0まで上げ、混合物をさらに15分間攪拌する。顔料を濾過除去し、脱塩水で洗い、110℃で16時間乾燥する。
実施例A:フレキソ印刷
バインダー:Kustom Kote 9000/米国、水系

a)実施例2からの顔料(22.9%)、予備湿潤Byk348(0.6%)
粘度:40秒、4mmエリクセン・カップ、室温
b)Iriodin(登録商標)306(22.1%)、予備湿潤Byk348(0.6%)
粘度:41秒、4mmエリクセン・カップ、室温
顔料を、オーバープリントニス引き用のクラッチ板を介してAniloxセラミックシリンダー(24ccm/m2)からマット−黒色アート紙(オフセット)上に印刷する。実施例2からの本発明の顔料は、比較例の顔料(Iriodin(登録商標)306)よりも、かなり強度の色および光沢効果を示す。印刷表面の色測定値は、この結果を確認するものである。

Claims (18)
- (A)TiO2とFe2O3との比率1:0.1〜1:5の混合物からなる高屈折率被覆、
(B)屈折率nが1.8以下である無色被覆、
(C)屈折率nが1.8を超える無色被覆、
(D)屈折率nが1.8を超える吸収性被覆、
を含む少なくとも一つの層配列を含んでなる多層被覆薄片状基材に基づく強力着色干渉顔料。
- 前記干渉顔料の最外層に外側保護層(E)を有する、請求項1に記載の干渉顔料。
- 層(A)を構成する混合物に、層(A)全体の20重量%以下となる一または複数種の金属酸化物をさらに含む、請求項1または2に記載の干渉顔料。
- 薄片状基材は、天然または合成雲母、ガラス薄片、Al2O3薄片、SiO2薄片またはTiO2薄片である請求項1から3のいずれかに記載の干渉顔料。
- 層(A)は擬板チタン石からなる請求項1から4のいずれかに記載の干渉顔料。
- 層(B)は一または複数種の金属酸化物からなる請求項1から5のいずれかに記載の干渉顔料。
- 層(B)はSiO2、酸化アルミニウム、フッ化マグネシウムまたはそれらの混合物からなる請求項1から6のいずれかに記載の干渉顔料。
- 層(A)はさらなる金属酸化物としてAl2O3、Ce2O3および/またはB2O3を含む請求項1から7のいずれかに記載の干渉顔料。
- 層配列(A)+(B)+(C)+(D)を4重まで有する請求項1から8のいずれかに記載の干渉顔料。
- 層配列(A)+(B)+(C)+(D)を1重のみ有する請求項1から9のいずれかに記載の干渉顔料。
- 層(C)と層(D)との間に、層(B)と同一または異なるさらなる無色の低屈折率層(B*)を含む請求項1から10のいずれかに記載の干渉顔料。
- 光、温度または耐候安定性を上げるために外側保護層(E)を有する請求項1から11のいずれかに記載の干渉顔料。
- 基材の被覆を、湿潤化学的に水性媒体中での金属塩の加水分解により行う請求項1から12のいずれかに記載の干渉顔料を調製する方法。
- 塗料、被覆、印刷インク、有価証券印刷インク、プラスチック、セラミック材料、ガラスもしくは化粧製剤における、または顔料製剤もしくは乾燥製剤の調製のための請求項1に記載の干渉顔料の使用。
- 一または複数種のバインダーおよび一または複数種の請求項1に記載の干渉顔料を含む顔料製剤。
- さらに一または複数種の添加剤を含む、請求項15に記載の顔料製剤。
- 請求項1に記載の強力着色干渉顔料を含む、乾燥製剤。
- ペレット、顆粒、チップまたはブリケットであることを特徴とする、請求項17に記載の乾燥製剤。
