Description
前記外側チューブを形成する外側チューブ形成工程と、狭窄箇所又は閉塞箇所を拡張するための膨張・収縮領域(先端側コーン領域52、直管領域53、基端側コーン領域54)、前記外側チューブの先端部に固定される基端側固定領域(接合領域58)及び当該基端側固定領域を前記膨張・収縮領域から離間させるための離間領域(離間領域59)を少なくとも具備するように前記バルーンを形成するバルーン形成工程と、前記バルーンの基端側固定領域に前記外側チューブの先端部を挿入する挿入工程と、その挿入した先端部の外周面を前記基端側固定領域の内周面に熱溶着する熱溶着工程と、を備え、前記外側チューブ形成工程において前記先端部の外径をその基端側よりも縮径させて前記基端側固定領域に当該先端部を挿入可能とし、又は前記バルーン形成工程において前記基端側固定領域の内径を前記離間領域よりも拡径させて当該基端側固定領域に前記先端部を挿入可能とし、前記熱溶着工程では、前記先端部及び前記基端側固定領域の重ね合わせ領域の内腔にサポート具(接合用金属棒D1)を配置し、さらに当該重ね合わせ領域を前記サポート具と内外に挟み込むようにして前記基端側固定領域の外周面側から加熱具(熱溶着機器D2)による加熱操作を行うことにより、前記離間領域と、前記重ね合わせ領域と、前記外側チューブにおける当該重ね合わせ領域よりも基端側であって当該重ね合わせ領域に近接した領域との各外径が同一となるようにすると良い。
本発明は上記実施形態の記載内容に限定されず、例えば次のように実施しても良い。
Claims (3)
- 流体が流通する内腔を有する外側チューブと、当該外側チューブの内腔を通るようにして設けられるとともに、外側チューブよりも先端側に延長させて設けられ、内腔にガイドワイヤが挿通される内側チューブとを有するカテーテル本体と、
当該カテーテル本体に固定され、前記内腔を流体が流通することにより膨張又は収縮するバルーンと、を備えており、
当該バルーンは、狭窄箇所又は閉塞箇所を拡張するための膨張・収縮領域よりも基端側に、前記外側チューブの先端部に固定される基端側固定領域を備えているとともに、前記膨張・収縮領域と前記基端側固定領域との間に、当該基端側固定領域を前記膨張・収縮領域から離間させるための離間領域を備えており、
当該離間領域と、前記基端側固定領域及び前記外側チューブの重ね合わせ領域と、前記外側チューブにおける当該重ね合わせ領域よりも基端側であって当該重ね合わせ領域に近接した領域との各外径が同一となるように、前記基端側固定領域と前記外側チューブとの固定が行われており、
前記バルーンは、その収縮状態では前記膨張・収縮領域が前記内側チューブに巻き付いた状態となり、当該バルーンの最大外径が前記外側チューブの外径と同一か又はそれよりも小さくなっており、
前記外側チューブの先端部はその外径が基端側よりも縮径されており、さらに前記基端側固定領域はその内径が前記先端部の外径と同一であるとともに外径が前記離間領域の外径と同一であり、
前記先端部の外周面に前記基端側固定領域の内周面が固定されていることで、前記離間領域と、前記基端側固定領域及び前記先端部の重ね合わせ領域と、前記外側チューブにおける当該重ね合わせ領域よりも基端側であって当該重ね合わせ領域に近接した領域とは、各外径が同一となっているとともに、各内径が同一となっていることを特徴とするバルーンカテーテル。 - 前記バルーンは、前記膨張・収縮領域よりも先端側に、前記内側チューブに固定される先端側固定領域をさらに備えているとともに、前記膨張・収縮領域として、先端に向けて縮径された先端側テーパ領域と、膨張時においてバルーンの最大径部位となる直管領域とを先端側からこの順で備えており、
さらに、前記内側チューブは、前記バルーンよりも先端側に突出した先端突出領域を備えており、
前記バルーンの収縮状態において、前記先端突出領域と、前記先端側固定領域と、前記先端側テーパ領域との各外周面が先端側に向けて縮径される連続的なテーパ状となるように、それら各領域を形成したことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のバルーンカテーテル。 - 前記バルーンは、前記膨張・収縮領域として前記直管領域の基端側に、基端に向けて縮径された基端側テーパ領域をさらに備えており、
前記先端側テーパ領域におけるバルーンカテーテルの軸線方向に沿った長さ寸法を、前記基端側テーパ領域におけるバルーンカテーテルの軸線方向に沿った長さ寸法よりも大きくしたことを特徴とする請求項2に記載のバルーンカテーテル。
