Description
[複合型混合導電体の製造]
まず、酸素イオン伝導相の原料として、当該酸素イオン伝導相の組成に含まれる各金属元素の酸化物を、それぞれ所定の組成の複合酸化物が得られるように秤量し、これらをボールミルで24時間水混合した。次いで、この混合物を乾燥して得られた粉末をペレット状に成形した後、電気炉にて1600℃で熱処理した。これにより、酸素イオン伝導体を得た。そして、焼成後のペレットを粉砕して、比表面積30m2/g前後の酸素イオン伝導体の粉末を調製した。
[特性評価]
実施例1〜15及び比較例1〜6の複合型混合導電体をそれぞれ用いて、図2に示す部分酸化改質装置を作製し、以下に示すようにして、各複合型混合導電体を部分酸化改質反応の酸素透過膜として用いた場合の劣化の程度を評価した。
A:酸素透過速度の劣化が5%未満であり、且つ、クラックや変質等の物理的な変化が認められなかった。
B:酸素透過速度の劣化が5%以上であったか、クラックや変質等の物理的な変化が認められた。
C:部分酸化改質反応中に膜の気密性が保てない状態となった。
[酸素透過能の評価]
Claims (4)
- Ce−Re−O系の組成(但し、ReはGd及びSmのうちいずれかの希土類元素である)を有する複合酸化物からなる酸素イオン伝導相と、
Re−M−O系の組成(但し、ReはCe及びY以外の希土類元素であり、Mは、V、Nb、Ta、Cr、Co、Fe、Mn、Al及びInのうちのいずれか1種の金属元素である)を有するペロブスカイト型の複合酸化物からなる電子伝導相と、を有し、
前記酸素イオン伝導相を構成する結晶粒と、前記電子伝導相を構成する結晶粒とが均一に分散されるとともに、これらの結晶粒同士が焼結によって結合された構造を有しており、
前記電子伝導相の体積比率が、15〜50体積%である、
ことを特徴とする複合型混合導電体。 - 前記酸素イオン伝導相に含まれる希土類元素と、前記電子伝導相に含まれる希土類元素と、が同一の元素である、請求項1記載の複合型混合導電体。
- 前記Re−M−O系の組成における前記Reが、Sm、Nd、Gd、La及びYからなる群より選ばれる少なくとも1種の元素である、請求項1記載の複合型混合導電体。
- 前記電子伝導相の体積比率が30体積%以下である、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の複合型混合導電体。
