Description
図1において、液晶表示パネルPNLは、内面に画素選択電極を有する一対の透光性ガラス基板の間に液晶層を封入して構成され、画素選択電極から液晶に印加される電界に応じて液晶の配向方向を変化させ、液晶表示パネルPNLの背面に設置されるバックライトBLから投射される光源光を液晶層で約90度偏光し、偏光板を透過させることにより電子潜像を可視画像として視認できる構造となっている。
Claims (3)
- 液晶表示パネルと、当該液晶表示パネルの背面に設置されたバックライトと、前記液晶表示パネル及び前記バックライトを収納するモールドフレームとから構成された液晶表示装置であって、
前記モールドフレームは、複数のフレーム部材が両端部で組み合わされて枠状に構成され、
前記フレーム部材の組合せ部において、一方のフレーム部材の先端部が他方のフレーム部材の先端部上面に形成された凹部に重畳するように嵌合する嵌合部を有し、
当該モールドフレームと前記液晶表示パネルとの間には少なくとも前記フレーム部材ごとに分割された4辺からなる枠状の弾性部材を有し、当該弾性部材は、前記フレーム部材ごとに、その一辺に沿ってフレーム部材の上面に接合され、
前記弾性部材は、前記他方のフレーム部材の凹部に重畳する前記一方のフレーム部材の先端部上にも延設して配置され、且つ、前記フレーム部材の嵌合部において、前記一方のフレーム部材の先端部上にも延設配置された前記弾性部材の先端が、他方のフレーム部材の上面のうち前記凹部以外に接合された弾性部材の先端よりも延長して配置されることで、2辺の弾性部材がT字状に形成されることを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 前記弾性部材は、樹脂シートであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記弾性部材は、シリコンゴムシートであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
