Description
ロープの撓み疲労の試験方法については、米国特許第6,945,153B2号明細書に記載されている。この特許に開示されている試験装置および試験試料をそれぞれ本明細書の図1および図2に示す。図1は、試験装置20を示している。この装置は、試験シーブ22とテンションシーブ24とを有する。力26をシーブ24に加えて試験試料に張力を生じさせ、かつ試料とシーブとの境界面に表面張力を生じさせる。第1の試験試料28および第2の試験試料30をシーブに掛けて配置し、連結器32を用いてそれらの自由端を連結一体化させる。試験試料28を図3に示す。試料28は、ロープ部分34とロープ部分の両端のアイスプライス36とからなる。ロープ部分は、二回曲げゾーン38とゾーン38の両側に位置する2つの一回曲げゾーン40とを含む。
20mmシーブに嵌合しかつ完全にHPPE繊維からなる標準的なロープを作製した。オランダ国のディーエスエム(DSM)により供給された2640dtexのダイニーマ(Dyneema)TM SK75をHPPE繊維として使用した。
ベンドオーバーシーブ用途向けに最適化された被覆材で比較実験Aの標準的なロープを含浸した。
20mmシーブに嵌合する本発明に係るロープを作製した。ロープは、比較実験Aで使用したHPPE繊維(以下の構成ではGで示される)と、米国のゴア(Gore)により供給されたe−PTFE 500dtex(以下の構成ではDで示される)と、の混合物を含む複数のストランドを含んでいた。
比較実験Bのロープに使用したのと同一の被覆材で実施例1のロープを含浸した。
Claims (11)
- 高性能ポリエチレン繊維とポリテトラフルオロエチレン繊維との混合物を含む複数のストランドと、
ロープのコアとして、前記高性能ポリエチレン繊維、前記ポリテトラフルオロエチレン繊維でないさらなる繊維、または前記高性能ポリエチレン繊維と前記さらなる繊維との混合物からなるさらなる1本以上のストランドと、を含有し、
前記ロープ全体を基準にして前記高性能ポリエチレン繊維と前記ポリテトラフルオロエチレン繊維との質量比が70:30〜98:2であるロープ。 - 前記ロープが編組構成をとる、請求項1に記載のロープ。
- 前記ロープが8本または12本のストランドを含有する、請求項1または2に記載のロープ。
- 前記ロープが少なくとも30mmの直径を有する、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載のロープ。
- 前記高性能ポリエチレン繊維が少なくとも2.5N/texの靭性を有する、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載のロープ。
- 前記ポリテトラフルオロエチレン繊維が少なくとも0.3N/texの靭性を有する、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載のロープ。
- 前記質量比が80:20〜95:5である、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載のロープ。
- 前記ロープが2〜20質量%のシリコーン化合物をさらに含有する、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載のロープ。
- ロープを作製するための、他のポリマー繊維と組み合わされたポリテトラフルオロエチレン繊維の使用であって、
高性能ポリエチレン繊維とポリテトラフルオロエチレン繊維との混合物を含む複数のストランドと、
前記ロープのコアとして、前記高性能ポリエチレン繊維、前記ポリテトラフルオロエチレン繊維でないさらなる繊維、または前記高性能ポリエチレン繊維と前記さらなる繊維との混合物からなるさらなる1本以上のストランドと、をロープに含有させ、
前記ロープ全体を基準にして前記高性能ポリエチレン繊維と前記ポリテトラフルオロエチレン繊維との質量比を70:30〜98:2とする使用。 - 撓み疲労を改良する手段を含まないロープと比較して撓み疲労が少なくとも5倍改良されることを特徴とする、HPPE繊維とロープの撓み疲労を改良する少なくとも1つの手段とを含むロープであって、
高性能ポリエチレン繊維とポリテトラフルオロエチレン繊維との混合物を含む複数のストランドと、
前記ロープのコアとして、前記高性能ポリエチレン繊維、前記ポリテトラフルオロエチレン繊維でないさらなる繊維、または前記高性能ポリエチレン繊維と前記さらなる繊維との混合物からなるさらなる1本以上のストランドと、を含有し、
前記ロープ全体を基準にして前記高性能ポリエチレン繊維と前記ポリテトラフルオロエチレン繊維との質量比が70:30〜98:2であるロープ。 - ベンドオーバーシーブ用途における荷重支持部材としての、請求項1〜10のいずれか一項に記載のロープの使用。
