Det beskrives et tau inneholdende et stort antall tråder omfattende en blanding av høyeffekt-polyetylenfibre og polytetrafluoretylenfibre i et vektforhold på 70:30 til 98:2. Tauet utviser betydelig bedre levetid ytelse i sykliske bøy-over-skive anvendelser. Oppfinnelsen angår også anvendelsen av tauet som et bærende element i bøy-over-skive anvendelser.
