Description
Claims (12)
- データ電圧を一端に受けて保持する保持容量と、
前記保持容量の前記一端にゲートが接続され、前記保持容量の前記一端の電圧に応じて電流量が制御される駆動トランジスタと、
前記駆動トランジスタに流れる電流に応じて発光する発光素子と、
前記保持容量の他端に接続され、第1のパルス状信号が入力される第1制御信号線と、
ゲート電極とチャネル領域と複数の不純物領域を有し、前記不純物領域の1つは金属配線層を介して前記駆動トランジスタのゲートに接続され、他の不純物領域はオープンもしくは前記1つの不純物領域と共に前記金属配線層を介して前記駆動トランジスタのゲートに接続され、前記ゲート電極は第2の所定電圧または前記第1のパルス状信号とは逆相である第2のパルス状信号が入力される第2制御信号線に接続され、前記第1または第2制御信号線の電圧変動によって容量値の変化する素子と、
を備えることを特徴とする画素回路。 - データ電圧を一端に受けて保持する保持容量と、
前記保持容量の前記一端にゲートが接続され、前記保持容量の前記一端の電圧に応じて電流量が制御される駆動トランジスタと、
前記駆動トランジスタに流れる電流に応じて発光する発光素子と、
前記保持容量の他端に接続され、第1のパルス状信号が入力される第1制御信号線と、
ゲート電極とチャネル領域とソース領域およびドレイン領域とを有し、前記駆動トランジスタのゲートに前記ソース領域または前記ドレイン領域の一方が金属配線層を介して接続され、他方が前記保持容量のデータ電圧を受ける一端に金属配線層を介して接続され、前記ゲート電極は第2の所定電圧または前記第1のパルス状信号とは逆相である第2のパルス状信号が入力される第2制御信号線に接続され、前記第1または第2制御信号線の電圧変動によって容量値の変化する素子と、
を備えることを特徴とする画素回路。 - 請求項1または請求項2に記載の画素回路において
前記素子は、前記駆動トランジスタと同様のしきい値電圧を有していることを特徴とする画素回路。 - データ電圧を一端に受けて保持する保持容量と、
前記保持容量の前記一端にゲートが接続され、前記保持容量の前記一端の電圧に応じて電流量が制御される駆動トランジスタと、
前記駆動トランジスタに流れる電流に応じて発光する発光素子と、
前記保持容量の他端に接続され、第1のパルス状信号が入力される第1制御信号線と、
ゲート電極とチャネル領域と少なくとも1つの不純物領域を有するトランジスタであって、前記駆動トランジスタのゲートに前記不純物領域に対応した電極が接続され、前記ゲート電極は第2の所定電圧または前記第1のパルス状信号とは逆相である第2のパルス状信号が入力される第2制御信号線に接続され、前記駆動トランジスタと同様のしきい値電圧を有し、前記第1または第2制御信号線の電圧変動によって容量値の変化する素子と、
を備えることを特徴とする画素回路。 - 請求項1乃至請求項4に記載の画素回路において、
前記素子はトランジスタであって、
前記データ電圧を保持容量において保持した後、前記第1または第2制御信号線の電圧変動によって、前記素子をオン状態からオフ状態に変化させることを特徴とする画素回路。 - 請求項1乃至請求項5に記載の画素回路において、
前記素子は、前記駆動トランジスタに隣接して形成されることを特徴とする画素回路。 - 請求項1乃至請求項6に記載の画素回路において、
前記素子は、前記駆動トランジスタと同一の工程で作成されることを特徴とする画素回路。 - 請求項1乃至請求項7に記載の画素回路において、
前記素子はトランジスタであって、
前記第1または第2制御信号線の電圧変動によって、前記素子をオン状態からオフ状態に変化させるとともに、前記駆動トランジスタをオフ状態からオン状態に変化させて発光素子を発光させることを特徴とする画素回路。 - 請求項1乃至請求項8に記載の画素回路において、
前記第2制御信号線は、前記駆動トランジスタに接続される駆動用電源線が兼用することを特徴とする画素回路。 - 請求項1乃至請求項9のいずれか1項に記載の画素回路において、
前記駆動トランジスタおよび前記素子はpチャンネル薄膜トランジスタであることを特徴とする画素回路。 - 請求項1乃至請求項10のいずれか1項に記載の画素回路において、
前記発光素子は、エレクトロルミネッセンス素子であることを特徴とする画素回路。 - 請求項1乃至請求項11のいずれか1項に記載の画素回路がマトリクス状に配置されていることを特徴とする表示装置。
