Description
Claims (4)
- 可動ベーンの開閉動作によりタービンホイールに導入される排気の流路の断面積を変化させる排気側可動ベーン機構を有するタービンと、
可動ベーンの開閉動作によりコンプレッサホイールから送り出される吸気の流路の断面積を変化させる吸気側可動ベーン機構を有するコンプレッサと、
前記排気側可動ベーン機構及び吸気側可動ベーン機構との間で共用されるアクチュエータを有し、該アクチュエータの動作を両可動ベーン機構に伝達して各可動ベーン機構の可動ベーンを開閉動作させる駆動機構と、
を備え、
前記排気側可動ベーン機構の可動ベーンが開方向に動作するときは前記吸気側可動ベーン機構の可動ベーンも開方向に動作するように前記駆動機構と両可動ベーン機構の操作入力部とがそれぞれ接続され、
前記排気側可動ベーン機構及び前記吸気側可動ベーン機構の少なくとも一方には、前記可動ベーンを開方向に動作させる際に前記操作入力部に加えるべき開方向駆動力を、前記可動ベーンを閉方向に動作させる際に前記操作入力部に加えるべき閉方向駆動力よりも低減させる手段が設けられている内燃機関の可変容量型過給機。 - 前記低減させる手段として、前記可動ベーンの回転中心から該可動ベーンの外周側の端縁までの距離が、前記中心位置から該可動ベーンの内周側の端縁までの距離よりも大きく設定されている請求項1に記載の可変容量型過給機。
- 前記排気側可動ベーン機構の操作入力部及び前記吸気側可動ベーン機構の操作入力部のそれぞれの操作方向が前記タービン及び前記コンプレッサの周方向に設定され、
前記吸気側可動ベーン機構における前記操作入力部の操作方向と該吸気側可動ベーン機構の可動ベーンの開閉方向との関係が、前記排気側可動ベーン機構における前記操作入力部の操作方向と該排気側可動ベーン機構の可動ベーンの開閉方向との関係に対して逆に設定され、
前記駆動機構は、前記アクチュエータによって回転駆動される出力軸と、前記出力軸の中心部に対して一方の側と前記排気側可動ベーン機構の操作入力部との間に介在して前記出力軸の回転を当該排気側可動ベーン機構の操作入力部の回転に変換する排気側連係機構と、前記出力軸の前記中心部に対して他方の側と前記吸気側可動ベーン機構の操作入力部との間に介在して前記出力軸の回転を当該吸気側可動ベーン機構の操作入力部の回転に変換する吸気側連係機構とを備えている、請求項1又は2に記載の可変容量型過給機。 - 前記排気側可動ベーン機構の操作入力部と前記吸気側可動ベーン機構の操作入力部とがタービン軸からみて同一の側に配置され、
前記出力軸は前記タービン軸と平行に配置され、
前記排気側連係機構及び前記吸気側連係機構のそれぞれは、前記出力軸と前記操作入力部のそれぞれに対して回転自在に連結されるロッドを含んでいる、請求項3に記載の可変容量型過給機。
