Description
(実施例1−1)
〔正極の作製〕
スピネル構造を有するマンガン酸リチウム(LiMn2O4)(粉末)と、導電剤としてのカーボンブラック(粉末)と、結着剤としてのフッ素樹脂(粉末)とを重量比85:10:5で混合して正極合剤を得た。この正極合剤を円盤状に鋳型成形し、真空中にて250℃で2時間乾燥して、正極を作製した。
マンガンの含有割合が1重量%であるアルミニウム−マンガン合金(Al−Mn)にリチウムを電気化学的に挿入することにより、リチウム−アルミニウム−マンガン合金(Li−Al−Mn)を作製した。このリチウム−アルミニウム−マンガン合金を円盤状に打ち抜き、負極を作製した。
プロピレンカーボネート溶媒に、溶質としてのリチウムビストリフルオロメタンスルホン酸リチウム(LiCF3SO3)を1モル/リットル溶解させて、非水電解液を調製した。
上記の正極、負極及び非水電解液を用いて、扁平型の本発明電池A1(リチウム二次電池、電池寸法:外径20mm、厚さ2.5mm)を組み立てた。なお、セパレータとしては、ポリエーテルエーテルケトン製の不織布を使用し、これに非水電解液を含浸させた。
撥水剤として、シリコン樹脂(ポリジメチルシロキサン)に代えて、アスファルトピッチ(ブローンアスファルト)を用いる以外は、実施例1−1と同様にして、参考例電池A2を作製した。
ガスケットとして、ポリフェニレンスルフィド(PPS)製のガスケットを用いる以外は、実施例1−1と同様にして参考例電池A3を作製した。
撥水剤としてアスファルトピッチ(ブローンアスファルト)を用い、ガスケットとしてポリフェニレンスルフィド製のガスケットを用いる以外は、実施例1−1と同様にして参考例電池A4を作製した。
アルミニウム−マンガン合金(Al−Mn)の代わりに、アルミニウム(Al)を用い、負極としてリチウム−アルミニウム合金(Li−Al)を用いる以外は、実施例1−1と同様にして本発明電池A5を作製した。
撥水剤を塗布しないこと以外は、実施例1−1と同様にして、ポリエーテルエーテルケトン製のガスケットを用いて比較電池X1を組み立てた。
撥水剤を塗布せずに、ガスケットとしてポリフェニレンスルフィド製のガスケットを用いる以外は、実施例1−1と同様にして比較電池X2を作製した。
ガスケットとしてポリプロピレン(PP)製のガスケットを用いる以外は、実施例1−1と同様にして比較電池X3を作製した。
電池作製直後の各電池を、電流値10mAで2Vまで放電し、電池作製直後の放電容量を測定した。また、電池作製直後の各電池を、温度60℃、湿度90RH%で2カ月間保存し、その後電流値10mAで2Vまで放電し、保存後の放電電流を測定した。以下の式により、保存後の劣化率を求めた。
各電池の劣化率を表1に示す。
顕著であることがわかる。
(実施例2−1)
実施例1−1と同様にしてスピネル構造のマンガン酸リチウムを正極活物質として用い、本発明電池B1を作製した。
スピネル構造のマンガン酸リチウム(LiMn2O4)の代わりに、二酸化マンガン(MnO2)を正極活物質として用いる以外は、実施例2−1と同様にして比較電池Y1を作製した。
スピネル構造のマンガン酸リチウムの代わりに、五酸化バナジウム(V2O5)を正極活物質として用いる以外は、実施例2−1と同様にして比較電池Y2を作製した。
上記実施例1と同様にして、各電池について劣化率を測定し、その結果を表2に示した。

Claims (2)
- スピネル構造のマンガン酸リチウムを正極活物質として含む正極と、負極と、非水電解質と、前記正極、前記負極及び前記非水電解質を収容するための電池ケースと、前記電池ケースの内部と外部とを遮断するためのガスケットとを備えるリチウム二次電池であって、
前記ガスケットが、ポリエーテルエーテルケトンから形成されており、シリコン樹脂からなる撥水剤の層が前記ガスケットの表面上に設けられていることを特徴とするリチウム二次電池。 - 前記負極が、リチウム−アルミニウム−マンガン合金であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のリチウム二次電池。
