Description
Claims (34)
- 時分割複信(TDD)プロトコルに従って構成された中継器を用いて第1の局から第2の局へ送信される信号を中継するための方法であって、前記第1の局はダウンリンクで前記第2の局へ通信し、前記第2の局はアップリンクで前記第1の局へ通信し、前記方法が、
前記アップリンクおよび前記ダウンリンクの1つで前記信号の存在を検出することと、
前記検出された信号に関連する1つ以上の時間区間であって、1つ以上の測定された時間区間を形成するために観測期間中に測定される前記1つ以上の時間区間に、前記中継器を同期させることと、
前記信号が前記アップリンクで検出される場合、前記第2の局からの前記信号を前記第1の局へ再送信することと、
前記信号が前記ダウンリンクで検出される場合、前記第1の局からの前記信号を前記第2の局へ再送信することと、
ダウンリンクにおける利得の初期設定の完了後、ダウンリンクサブフレームの期間のための第1の利得値を凍結させることと
を特徴とし、
前記ダウンリンクに関連する前記第1の利得値は前記アップリンクに関連する第2の利得値を確定するために用いられ、アップリンクの受信電力が特定の上限と特定の下限との間にある場合に、前記第2の利得値に、前記第1の利得値が適用され、そして、前記受信電力が前記特定の上限より大きい場合は、オフセットによってダウンリンク出力電力設定点を増大させ、また前記受信電力が前記特定の下限より小さい場合は、オフセットによって前記ダウンリンク出力電力設定点を減少させる方法。 - 前記信号の存在を検出することが、電力検出器を用いて検出することを含む請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記信号の存在を検出することが、相関器を用いて検出することを含む請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記信号の存在を検出することが、整合フィルタを用いて検出することを含む請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記同期させることが、
1つ以上の測定値を形成するために、前記1つ以上の測定された時間区間中の前記信号のサンプルに関連する受信信号強度表示器(RSSI)の値および相関値の1つを測定することと、
1つ以上の信号処理ビンを前記観測期間の終了の後統計的手順を用いて処理することによって、前記1つ以上の測定された時間区間が確定されるように、前記1つ以上の測定された時間区間に関連する前記1つ以上の測定された値のもので前記1つ以上の信号処理ビンを埋めることとを含む請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記統計的手順が電力包絡線スライディング相関関数を含む請求項5に記載の方法。
- 前記検出することが、アップリンク区間とダウンリンク区間の間の1つ以上のギャップを窓関数を用いて検出することを含む請求項5に記載の方法。
- 前記TDDプロトコルがIEEE802.16プロトコルを含む請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記TDDプロトコルがIEEE802.20プロトコルを含む請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記TDDプロトコルがIEEE802.16(d)プロトコルを含む請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記TDDプロトコルがIEEE802.16(e)プロトコルを含む請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記TDDプロトコルがIEEE802.16(d/e)プロトコルを含む請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記TDDプロトコルが簡易型携帯電話システム(PHS)プロトコルを含む請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記TDDプロトコルが時分割同期符号分割多元接続(TDS-CDMA)プロトコルを含む請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記第1の局が基地局を含み、かつ前記第2の局が加入者端末を含む請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記第1の利得値が、前記ダウンリンクに対する第1の自動利得制御(AGC)レベルを含み、かつ前記第2の利得値が、前記アップリンクに対する電力制御値を含む請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記アップリンクおよび前記ダウンリンクの間の分離度を測定すること並びに前記分離度の表示を提供することをさらに特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記中継器が、第1のユニットおよび第2のユニットに分割され、前記方法が前記第1のユニットと前記第2のユニットの間を通信リンクで通信することをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 第1の局から第2の局へ送信される信号を中継する中継器であって、前記中継器は時分割複信(TDD)プロトコルに従って構成され、前記第1の局はダウンリンクで前記第2の局へ通信し、前記第2の局はアップリンクで前記第1の局へ通信し、前記中継器が、
アンテナと、
前記アンテナに接続された検出器であって、前記アップリンクおよび前記ダウンリンクの1つに関連する区間内で前記信号の存在を検出するように構成された検出器と、
前記アンテナおよび前記検出器に接続されたプロセッサとによって特徴づけられ、
前記プロセッサは、
前記検出された信号に関連する観測期間中に、1つ以上の測定された時間区間を形成するために観測期間中に測定される、1つ以上の時間区間を測定し、
第1の1つ以上の前記測定された時間区間が1つ以上のアップリンク区間に対応し、かつ第2の1つ以上の前記測定された時間区間が1つ以上のダウンリンク区間に対応するようにするために、前記中継器を前記1つ以上の時間区間に同期させ、
ダウンリンクにおける利得の初期設定の完了後、ダウンリンクサブフレームの期間のための第1の利得値を凍結させ、
前記ダウンリンクに関連する前記第1の利得値を前記アップリンクに関連する第2の利得値を確定するために用い、
アップリンクの受信電力が特定の上限と特定の下限との間にある場合は、前記第2の利得値に、前記第1の利得値を適用し、
前記受信電力が前記特定の上限より大きい場合は、オフセットによってダウンリンク出力電力設定点を増大させ、
前記受信電力が前記特定の下限より小さい場合は、オフセットによって前記ダウンリンク出力電力設定点を減少させる
ことを特徴とする中継器。 - 前記アンテナおよび前記プロセッサに接続された送信機であって、
前記プロセッサが、利得制御器を含み、前記プロセッサは、
前記信号を前記送信機を用いて前記第1の局から前記第2の局へ前記1つ以上のダウンリンク区間の1つで再送信するようにさらに構成され、前記利得制御器は前記信号が前記ダウンリンクで検出される場合、前記再送信された信号の第1の利得値を制御し、かつ、
前記信号を前記送信機を用いて前記第2の局から前記第1の局へ前記1つ以上のアップリンク区間の1つで再送信するようにさらに構成され、前記利得制御器は前記信号が前記アップリンクで検出される場合、第2の利得値を制御し、
前記第1の利得値が、前記第2の利得値を確定するために用いられる、送信機をさらに特徴とする請求項19に記載の中継器。 - 前記検出器が電力検出器を含む請求項19に記載の中継器。
- 前記検出器が相関器を含む請求項19に記載の中継器。
- 前記検出器が整合フィルタを含む請求項19に記載の中継器。
- 前記プロセッサが、信号プロセッサをさらに含み、および前記プロセッサが、前記中継器の同期において、
測定値を形成するために、サンプリング区間における前記信号に関連する受信信号強度表示器(RSSI)の値および相関値の1つを測定するように、かつ
1つ以上の信号処理ビンを前記観測期間終了の後統計的手順を用いて処理することによって、前記1つ以上のタイミング区間が確定されるように、前記1つ以上の測定された時間区間に関連する値で前記1つ以上の信号処理ビンを埋めることのために、さらに構成された、請求項19に記載の中継器。 - 前記統計的処理が電力包絡線スライディング相関関数を含む、請求項24に記載の中継器。
- 前記検出器および前記プロセッサが、アップリンク区間とダウンリンク区間の間の1つ以上のギャップを窓関数を用いて検出するように構成された請求項19に記載の中継器。
- 前記TDDプロトコルが、IEEE802.16プロトコル、IEEE802.20プロトコル、IEEE802.16(d)プロトコル、IEEE802.16(e)プロトコル、IEEE802.16(d/e)プロトコル、簡易型携帯電話システム(PHS)プロトコル、および時分割同期符号分割多元接続(TDS-CDMA)プロトコルの1つを含む、請求項19に記載の中継器。
- 前記第1の利得値が、前記ダウンリンクに対する第1の自動利得制御(AGC)レベルを含み、かつ前記第2の利得値が、前記アップリンクに対する電力制御値を含む請求項20に記載の中継器。
- 前記プロセッサが、
前記アップリンクと前記ダウンリンクの間の分離度を測定するように、および
前記分離度の表示を提供するように、さらに構成された請求項19に記載の中継器。 - 第1の局から第2の局へ送信される信号を中継する中継器であって、前記中継器は時分割複信(TDD)プロトコルに従って構成され、前記第1の局はダウンリンクで前記第2の局へ通信し、前記第2の局はアップリンクで前記第1の局へ通信し、
前記中継器が、第1のユニットと第2ユニットによって特徴づけられ、
前記第1のユニットは、
ドナー側アンテナと、
前記ドナー側アンテナに接続された第1の検出器であって、前記ダウンリンクに関連する区間内の前記信号の存在を検出するように構成された前記第1の検出器と、
第1の送信機と、
前記ドナー側アンテナ、前記第1の検出器および前記第1の送信機に接続された第1のプロセッサとを含み、
前記第1のプロセッサは、
前記検出された信号に関連する観測期間中に、第1の測定された時間区間を形成するために第1の観測期間中に測定される、第1の1つ以上の時間区間を測定し、
第1の1つ以上の前記第1の測定された時間区間が前記ダウンリンクに関連する1つ以上のダウンリンク区間に対応するようにするために、前記中継器を前記第1の1つ以上の時間区間に同期させるように構成され、
前記第2のユニットは、通信リンクを通じて前記第1のユニットと接続され、
レセプタ側アンテナと、
前記レセプタ側アンテナに接続された第2の検出器であって、前記アップリンクに関連する区間内の前記信号の存在を検出するように構成された前記第2の検出器と、
第2の送信機と、
前記レセプタ側アンテナ、前記第2の検出器および前記第2の送信機に接続された第2のプロセッサとを含み、
前記第2のプロセッサは、
前記検出された信号に関連する観測期間中に、第2の測定された時間区間を形成するために第1の観測期間中に測定される第2の1つ以上の時間区間を測定し、
第2の1つ以上の前記第2の測定された時間区間が前記アップリンクに関連する1つ以上のアップリンク区間に対応するようにするために、前記中継器を前記第2の1つ以上の時間区間に同期させるように構成され、
前記第1のプロセッサは、
ダウンリンクにおける利得の初期設定の完了後、ダウンリンクサブフレームの期間のための第1の利得値を凍結させるように構成され、
前記第2のプロセッサは、
前記ダウンリンクに関連する前記第1の利得値を前記アップリンクに関連する第2の利得値を確定するために用い、
アップリンクの受信電力が特定の上限と特定の下限との間にある場合は、前記第2の利得値に、前記第1の利得値を適用し、
前記受信電力が前記特定の上限より大きい場合は、オフセットによってダウンリンク出力電力設定点を増大させ、
前記受信電力が前記特定の下限より小さい場合は、オフセットによって前記ダウンリンク出力電力設定点を減少させるように構成される中継器。 - 前記第1のユニットが、
前記1つ以上のダウンリンク区間の1つにおいて前記通信リンクで前記第1の局からの前記信号を前記第2のユニットへ転送するようにさらに構成され、前記信号が前記ダウンリンクで検出される場合、前記信号の再送信に関連する第1の利得値は前記第2のユニットによって設定され、
前記第2のユニットが、
前記第1の利得値で前記1つ以上のダウンリンク区間の前記1つにおいて前記第2の局へ前記信号を再送信するようにさらに構成された、請求項30に記載の中継器。 - 前記第2のユニットが、
前記1つ以上のアップリンク区間の1つにおいて前記通信リンクで前記第2の局からの前記信号を前記第1のユニットへ転送するようにさらに構成され、前記信号が前記アップリンクで検出される場合、前記信号の再送信に関連する第2の利得値は前記第1のユニットによって設定され、および、
前記第1のユニットが、
前記第2の利得値で前記1つ以上のアップリンク区間の前記1つにおいて前記第1の局に前記信号を再送信するようにさらに構成された、請求項30に記載の中継器。 - 前記TDDプロトコルが、IEEE802.16プロトコル、IEEE802.20プロトコル、IEEE 802.16(d)プロトコル、IEEE 802.16(e)プロトコル、IEEE802.16(d/e)プロトコル、簡易型携帯電話システム(PHS)プロトコル、および時分割同期符号分割多元接続(TDS-CDMA)プロトコルの1つを含む、請求項30に記載の中継器。
- 前記第1の利得値が前記ダウンリンクに対する第1の自動利得制御(AGC)レベルを含み、かつ前記第2の利得値が前記アップリンクに対する電力制御値を含む請求項31に記載の中継器。
