Description
燃料室に導入したことを特徴とする。燃料室側にブドウ糖のような大きな分子の浸透圧発生源を溶解させておき、燃料室と燃料貯蔵部との間に選択的に液体燃料(メタノール分子)を透過する半透膜のような手段を設けることにより、燃料室と燃料貯蔵部との間に浸透圧が発生し、この力によって燃料貯蔵部から燃料室へ液体燃料を補充することができる。したがって、パッシブ型のように動力源を用いない燃料電池であっても、燃料貯蔵部内の燃料をできる限り使い切ることができる。
Claims (2)
- 電解質層と、前記電解質層の一方の面に設けられ、液体燃料が供給される第1の電極と、前記電解質層の他方の面に設けられ、酸化剤が供給される第2の電極と、を有する燃料電池において、
前記第1の電極に隣接して設けられ、前記液体燃料が貯蔵される燃料室と、
前記燃料室に隣接して設けられ、前記燃料室へ補充される前記液体燃料が貯蔵される燃料貯蔵部と、
前記燃料室と前記燃料貯蔵部との間に設けられ、前記液体燃料が透過する選択的透過手段と、
前記燃料室に貯蔵される液体燃料に溶解し、前記選択透過手段を透過しない浸透圧発生源と、
を備え、前記液体燃料に溶け残る量の浸透圧発生源を前記燃料室に導入したことを特徴とする燃料電池。 - 請求項1記載の燃料電池において、
前記燃料貯蔵部は着脱可能であることを特徴とする燃料電池。
