Description
図1は、本発明に係る車輪用軸受装置の一実施形態を示す縦断面図、図2は、図1の要部拡大図、図3は、本発明に係る金属環を示す正面図、図4は、本発明に係る車輪用軸受装置の正面図である。なお、以下の説明では、車両に組み付けた状態で車両の外側寄りとなる側をアウター側(図面左側)、中央寄り側をインナー側(図面右側)という。
ここでは、カチオン電着塗装及び電気亜鉛めっき処理について説明する。
図5は、本発明の他の実施形態に係る金属環を示す正面図、図6は、本発明の他の実施形態に係る車輪用軸受装置の正面図である。なお、前述した実施形態と同一部品同一部位には同じ符号を付してその詳細な説明を省略する。
図7は、本発明の他の実施形態に係る金属環を示す正面図、図8は、本発明の他の実施形態に係る車輪用軸受装置の正面図である。なお、前述した実施形態と同一部品同一部位には同じ符号を付してその詳細な説明を省略する。

Claims (5)
- 外周に懸架装置に取り付けられるための車体取付フランジ(3b)を一体に有し、内周に複列の外側転走面(3a、3a)が形成された外方部材(3)と、
一端部に車輪を取り付けるための車輪取付フランジ(6)を一体に有し、外周に小径段部(1a)が形成されたハブ輪(1)、およびこのハブ輪(1)に嵌合された内輪(5、5)または等速自在継手の外側継手部材からなり、外周に前記複列の外側転走面(3a、3a)に対向する複列の内側転走面(5a、5a)が形成された内方部材と、
この内方部材と前記外方部材(3)の両転走面間に保持器を介して転動自在に収容された複列の転動体と、
前記外方部材(3)と内方部材とで形成される環状空間のアウター側とインナー側の開口部のそれぞれに装着されたシール(8、8)とを備えた車輪用軸受装置において、
前記アウター側のシール(8)に加えて、前記外方部材(3)のアウター側の端部外周にバックアップシール(13)が装着され、このバックアップシール(13)が径方向外方に傾斜して延びるシールリップ(15b)を一体に有すると共に、防錆能を有する鋼鈑からプレス加工により円板状に形成された金属環(16)が、前記車輪取付フランジ(6)に植設されたハブボルト(6a)によって当該車輪取付フランジ(6)のインナー側の側面(6c)に挟持された状態で固定され、この金属環(16)に前記バックアップシール(13)のシールリップ(15b)が摺接されていることを特徴とする車輪用軸受装置。 - 前記鋼板が冷間圧延鋼板である請求項1に記載の車輪用軸受装置。
- 前記鋼鈑が、カチオン電着塗装又は電気亜鉛めっき処理による防錆能を有する請求項1又は2に記載の車輪用軸受装置。
- 前記電気亜鉛めっき処理において、めっきの厚さは、8μm以上である請求項3に記載の車輪用軸受装置。
- 前記金属環(16)と車輪取付フランジ(6)との間に弾性部材(18)が介装されている請求項1乃至4いずれかに記載の車輪用軸受装置。
