図1は、本発明の第1実施形態に係る横電界方式の液晶表示装置の断面構造を示す横断面図である。図2に、上方から見た電極パッド部の拡大図を示す。図2では、電極パッド部を覆う保護カバー等については省略している。
図3は、本発明の第2実施形態に係る横電界方式の液晶表示装置の断面構造を示す横断面図であり、図中、図1と同等部分には同一符号を付して示している。
図4は、本発明の第3実施形態に係る横電界方式の液晶表示装置の断面構造を示す横断面図であり、図中、図1と同等部分には同一符号を付して示している。
・偏光板導電性帯電防止層31と組み合わせた場合
・対向基板13の表面に施したITO製膜(対向基板表面ITO製膜)32と組み合わせた場合
・セット側保護カバー15の裏面に施したITO製膜(導電性セット側保護カバー裏面部ITO製膜)33と組み合わせた場合
・セット側保護カバー15の周囲に低抵抗の金属や樹脂で形成した額縁遮光部(導電性セット側保護カバー額縁遮光部)34と組み合わせた場合
・セット側保護カバー15の裏面導電部と液晶パネル11のGND接続用電極20とを直接、金属フィラーやファイバーを混合したような導電ペースト部35で接続した場合
などが挙げられる。
なお、第3実施形態において、ITO製膜と説明した部分については、第1,第2実施形態の場合と同様に、透明導電樹脂の塗布や酸化亜鉛系透明導電膜等のスパッタリング製膜したものでもかまわない。
以上説明した本発明による液晶表示装置は、電子機器に入力された映像信号、若しくは電子機器内で生成した映像信号を、画像若しくは映像として表示するあらゆる分野の電子機器の表示装置に適用することが可能である。
以下に、本発明が適用される電子機器の具体例について説明する。一例として、図5〜図9に示す様々な電子機器、例えば、デジタルカメラ、ノート型パーソナルコンピュータ、携帯電話機等の携帯端末装置、ビデオカメラなどの表示装置に本発明を適用することが可能である。
Claims (4)
- 液晶パネルの対向基板の表面と当該液晶パネルを保護する透明保護カバーとの間に設けられた透明導電樹脂部と、
前記透明導電樹脂部と前記透明保護カバーとの間に結合剤として設けられた透明樹脂部と、
前記液晶パネルの電極パッド部に設けられ、前記透明導電樹脂部と電気的に接続されるとともに、前記液晶パネルに接続されるプリント基板の接地線に電気的に接続される電極部と、
前記透明保護カバーと前記電極部との間に設けられた前記透明導電樹脂部よりも低抵抗の導電部と、
を備え、
前記透明導電樹脂部は、前記対向基板の表面を覆う第1の形状部と、前記電極パッド部上に前記対向基板の側面を覆って形成される第2の形状部と、を有する、
横電界方式の液晶表示装置。 - 前記導電部は、前記透明保護カバーの裏面に形成されるITO製膜から成る、
請求項1に記載の横電界方式の液晶表示装置。 - 前記導電部は、前記透明保護カバーの周囲の額縁遮光部に形成される金属または樹脂から成る、
